  1. To believe that, you have to agree that his short tenure as GM was not his fault, and he had little or nothing to do with the GM or HC hires/fires over the 2006-2013 time period. I don't think either of those are 100% accurate, although I will concede the point that he didn't have complete control over that time, I do believe he had an impact with the on-the-field product, I guess we can debate how much of an impact that was.

This pretty much sums it up for me.

Whatever the division of power, Brandon has been around during some pretty lean years. So have Littman and Overdorf. If I'm the new owner and I'm looking for accomplishments in evaluating Sr. management, I'm not sure any of those 3 gentlemen have done enough in any role to justify trusting them with MY new investment.

New owners will have their own people. Absent a staggering resume full of accomplishment, I expect RB to be reassigned, if not replaced.

  2. Classic example of a fan(allegedly) working really hard to be as negative as possible. Really don't understand why some of you even follow this team. The Dolphins could use some fans. Go follow them.

I can't blame someone for questioning the people who have presided over this team since 1999. I am just amazed that enthusiasm rides as high as it does without a winning season or 2 to prop us up.
  3. Forget all the sound and fury. Strip away the grand speeches and new commitments. Ignore his obvious passion for the area and his desire to build a winning franchise.

Other than rebranding them as the "Regional Bills" and successfully marketing the hell out of a truly terrible product, he has done nothing to contribute to this being a successful franchise where it counts.

That's his past. That's his resume. Whether he can make this translate into future success is anyone's guess, but if the new owner is concerned about winning AND he looks at Russ' resume, he's a goner.

  4. I think you're still in the position where playmakers are still out there. Even if you don't get your OT, there are guys like Tyson Clabo out there whom you can bring in for a year.

If you heard any interview with Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, you would want him to be the pick. Sounds like he has a deep appreciation for what it takes to be a good professional and he has a pretty good skill set as well. Jace Amaro is a matchup nightmare. And knowing you have NO RBs under contract after this year, I don't know how you ignore Carlos Hyde.

So my vote is to continue building the offense with yet another playmaker. Since Whaley was talking about giving EJ some weapons, I think ASJ will be the guy.

  5. Bills are pimping the fact that they like OB Jr. San Fransisco likes him too... SF trades us their 1st rd pick #30, 2nd rd pick #56 and their 2nd 3rd rd pic #92 to move up to #9 and take OB Jr.

That gives the Bills 5 of the top 92 picks in the draft. Look for them to grab:

1st Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State

2nd Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech OR Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington

2nd Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State OR Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU

3rd JuWuan James, OT, Tennessee OR Cyrus Kouandjio, OT, Alabama

    4th Chris Borland, ILB, Wisconsin

This is just a thought of what I can see (would love to see) happening!

If SF wants to trade up, at least according to the Trade Value Chart, it would require their 1st and both of their 2nds, plus a little. If I'm late in the 1st, I'm thinking Bitonio, Juwan James or Rashid Hageman. Or better yet, then trade out of the 1st and have like 5 - 2nd round picks and an additional 1st next year.
  6. If they stay at 9, Zack Martin

If they trade down, Eric Ebron or Odell Beckham

I may be wrong, but I don't see them moving up in R1.

+1. I can't put it any better than that.

Did I see Anthony Carr above? Is he related to Derek Barr?

Martin can play all 5 positions and played a ton of games for ND. Not a sexy pick, but pretty safe.
