  1. it does, he figured it out 6 wks ago, hopefully after this game he will go back to it. He has always been a defensive guy and has a process and its probably hard for him to embrace an aggressive offense as he believes the other way is the way to winning, but after watching film of today and last week has to re-emphasise that the ravens game was an aberration and that right now the no huddle is what is best for this team. Maybe in the future we can huddle up and be effective but right now its no consistent enough for wins.
  2. For me its not going 3 wide, although that seems to be our best personnel grouping. We need to and can hurry up regardless of formation and format , 11, 21, 22 whatever , hurry up, dictate to the Defense and keep them on their heals.
  3. I thought he did after the Cleveland loss but we went back to slow ball against Pittsburgh.
  4. its true. coach is the Best coach ive ever seen at building a culture and getting everyone going in the right direction but now McDermott needs to grow and learn that playing not to lose really means playing not to win. McD says he tries to grow every day and i have hope he will, its just frustrating to revert back to slow ball when the hurry up was working so well. Have to be aggressive, cant be conservative if you want to win.
  5. yeah 50 years ago. The days of read and react are long over, you have to attack on offense and defense if you want win deep in the playoffs. We need to dictate to to our opponent not the other way around.
  6. I've been thinking the same thing all day. i truly love McDermott and everything he has done here but we wont go far in any playoff playing not to lose and burn the clock the whole game. This offense plays best in the Hurry Up and why he doesn't let them do that is beyond me. If we ran that today we beat the patriots. That first drive told me we weren't likely to win the game as we didn't jump on thye right away, we huddled, took our time ran every play and when we had to Josh's first pass was an overthrow in the endzone. For whatever reason Josh does better when he has a sense of urgency and he throws it best in the hurry up.
  7. Not using the no huddle is why we lost this game. Its one thing to lose to a good team it another when you deliberately hold yourself back in some misguided view of burning the clock all game.
  8. This is not a hot take . Not using the no huddle consistently IS THE REASON for this teams offensive failures. When they use it we score more and if you score more you win more, its that simple. it is. We turned the corner after the Cleveland loss and put up three impressive wins in a row but we struggled against the ravens and it welp that's it lets go back to our old clunker ways. Barely worked against Pittsburgh because their QB is a duck, but when you play good teams its not going to get the job done.
  9. we are, and as it stands right now the hurry up is our best chance of winning. If we do this slow huddle in the playoffs we might win a game, depending on opponent. the Defense had its struggles but if the offense was put on full tilt we win this game, no need to use the huddle and get to the line late and let the defense dictate our actions.
  10. him and Ethan in Portland are tight.
  11. That didn't help but it was obvious the offense sucked when it huddled and and didn't when they didn't.
  12. Not his fault they didn't run the hurry up all game.
  13. Might as well after crapping the bed today.
  14. Schopp is lost cause, he's smarter than everyone else and how dare some former NFL player tell him about whats important in sports, analytics is all the matters.
  15. I love McDermott and know he is the right coach for this team. However after watching game film of this game he is going to realize that our offense plays much better in the no huddle/ hurry up. All our scores today came when they weren't huddling and putting pressure on the Defense. It gives us more time to make adjustments and less time for them and keeps them on their heals. It doesn't need to be 11 personnel either, go 21, 22 whatever just move with urgency and hurry the hell up!
  16. No, its McDermott, unfortunately he thinks we should huddle up and play conservative. and i love McDermott so dont get it twisted its just not what works for our offense.
  17. I love McDermott but how can he not see the offense plays better at a faster pace.
