  1. Good lord do you guys even read... I see the same prediction about 5 times especially about those who won't be there by the time the Bills are picking... common folks step up your game.  Same with everyone's individual draft board predictions...

When Shady McCoy originally practiced with Josh he basically said he you could tell he’s special...that whole the tape doesn’t lie and plugging numbers in a spreadsheet never takes into consideration other factors and that’s why analytics guys should stick to baseball and if you should leave your starter in to pitch to a lineup a third time

That is why I have always criticized multi regression stats... and I minored in them in college.... basically they try and find the most common things that move in a direction and try and predict the likelihood that something will move in a certain direction.  Problem is stats dont predict causality only that there is a likely relationship, Eliminating other less likely relationships.  Also they are less predictive when not enough data is available and in this case Josh is/was a case study in both less data and elimination of other potential factors including the ability to improve... something exceedingly hard to quantify.  Which is why eye test and interviews on personality were so important to the Bills decision to draft him so high.

  3. Sabres have so many issues thru to ownership.  There is talent but not sure it meshes well.  Player development has sucked for a decade. Talent e v a l has sucked... scouting department decimated and then we get to coaches oof and player usage.   Granato seems ok.. goalies are finally percolating but still a ways off but what a shiite show.

I mean, I wouldn't have make a public deal of it were I her, but I thought it was flippant treatment of a team trophy 31 other teams yearn to claim.  Like "sure, it's the ultimate honor in NFL football, but I got so damned many of them, it's just another Party Cove Frisbee to me now! So What if I put it at risk of falling in deep water"  Sorta like Gronk using it as a baseball bat and leaving a dent in it.

It is what it is, and he is who he is.  Until someone beats the crap outta him (and the NFL stops favoring his teams IMO) he can do what he chooses, and people who admire the entitled frat-boy flex will cheer them for it.

My wife's name is Karen but spells it Caryn... not sure if that counts... but she is a charge nurse and could definitely kick Brady's ass... she doesnt whine though she orders every one around.

The Bills play zone defense.  So the answer to your question depends on where the TE lines up and what route he's running.

What LBs in the draft are faster than Milano?

Milano is a free agent.  Free agent's rights don't belong to any team, therefore the team can not trade them

    Were they?

They were signed to shorter contracts with less guaranteed money I believe, but I don't think they were that much cheaper.

Is he already or when does FA period start... thought it was later and Bills still had his rights til then?

  6. Yep just need a few upgrades... speed corner... tall safety or linebacker who can cover a tight end... nother d lineman... big run stopper and probably a big physical running back.  Not bad and sure was a great season.   If they can find another speed wide receiver great.

Concussions are really weird and everybody reacts differently. I had a goalie in my hockey league years ago who took a puck off his old school 80s cage and was stunned for a minute in the game He played the rest of it and seemed fine after when we all had a beer. Later he developed a headache and puked and was taken to the doctor by his wife. Diagnosed with a concussion. He missed two weeks of work and never played hockey again. I really hope for Mahomes sake that his doctors do the right thing or he could have some permanent damage for life.

Yeh they are... I have CT'd a number people with obvious concussions... basically a brain bruise... it shows up lighter grey on CT in area of trauma... to the extent of the bruise and how quickly it heals is another issue and probably depends on severity... in addition his neck got twisted and whiplash I saw someone post earlier can be an issue as well and though probably would stop him from playing, it could throw off his mechanics.  I have had both a neither are fun.

The Capitol Stormers - generally NOT the best and the brightest, and definitely not the winners of the world. Trump complained that he didn't like the optics because the looked "low class." Let's take a look at what we know so far:

    - The woman who got shot. https://www.shethepeople.tv/news/ashli-babbit-was-deep-into-conspiracy-theories-like-qanon-experts/ (I'm including non-paywall links, but there's plenty more from the NYT, WSJ, WashPost, etc.). She and her husband are Air Force vets with about 14 years in. Her military career was distinguished mostly by her being a loudmouth who liked to complain. She became obsessed with QAnon conspiracy theories. Despite all the benefits accorded vets, she apparently had no interested in working for somebody else anymore. I used to do hiring for a federal agency, and believe me, it's awfully hard to not hire a vet for a job. I'm not talking about dead end Amazon warehouse jobs. These are often clerical jobs that in a city like San Diego top out at about $80,000. She and her husband could easily have been making a combined $160,000 a year within 5 years or so, and the military time counts toward federal retirement. The median family salary in America is about $60,000. She also could have taken advantage of higher education programs for vets. In other words, lots and lots of opportunities out there. A lot of people complain about affirmative action, but the only real affirmative action program is for veterans, and even more so for disabled vets, with a very relaxed standard for who qualifies as having a service related disability. Despite all that, she apparently didn't want to work for somebody else anymore so she started a pool maintenance business. (There's also great small business loan programs for veterans.) She would up defaulting on about $70,000 of loan payments. 35 years old, made basically zero progress in establishing a career. Yet all to ready to blame someone else for her failures.

    - The woman trampled to death. https://www.shethepeople.tv/news/rosanne-boyland-capitol-hill-attack-qanon-trump/  A recovering drug addict, also obsessed with QAnon crap. No indication that she had any particular education, skills, or talents, or that she tried to do anything to improve her prospects. I guess it's China's fault?

    - The guy reported as having died after he tasered himself in the, umm, "Rotundas." https://wbhm.org/feature/2021/one-alabamian-dies-during-siege-at-u-s-capitol/

55 years old, seemed to have been living a perfectly middle class life as a kind of Dunder-Mifflin salesman type. There's really nothing in his bio that would suggest that the U.S. government had somehow frustrated any greater talent to emerge. Yet harbored a ton of anger over something. His family says he went as a peaceful protester, but his social media included things like, "you think the riots were bad over the summer ... you ain't seen sh!te yet."

    - Another "medical event" death. https://6abc.com/benjamin-phillips-4-dead-at-us-capitol-ashli-babbit-shot-woman/9448265/  Tried to start a social media site called "Trumparoo." (Who needs Twitter?) Actually has a computer science degree, but other than starting Trumparoo and other silly websites it's not clear how he used it.

BTW he tased himself in the balls while trying to steal a photo of Tip O'Neill.  Tip didnt suffer fools... guessing his ghost got him.  And yes there ghosts in the Capitol.

several cops were shot and killed during summer protests.  I just want the same outrage irrespective of your politics.

why can’t it all be bad, uncivilized and wrong??

This is why it’s not getting solved, no one wants to. There is insistence there is a right vs wrong here, and not just a whole lot of wrong.

until the two party system is removed this is only getting worse.

I work with officers in our ER everyday and do respect the job they do always, lot of very good ones in a tough job. need to rid them of 1% bad ones
