okay..so to you its photshopped, but the CDC just used this presentaion as the basis for updated mask mandates ...and the WAPO published. Now, do you want to admit you are wrong?

I will ask you as well, should undocumented/illegal immigrants be immediately returned to Mexico if they cannot prove they are vaxed or are not willing to take the J&J shot?

yes and right now most are being sent back but are repeat offenders... just read an article stating the stats and by and large they are not the major problem... cant vouch for stats but any immigrants need to be vaxxed before entering US imo

All immigrants should prove they are vaxxed before entering...

Hospitalized patients that die from COVID "complications" generally die from Cytokine Storm.  Which is an overwhelming reaction to the virus by the immune system.  There are treatments for this response.  One of which is called Lenzulimab.  Which met clinical trial endpoints and is also including in other trails being run by NIH.  The company submitted an emergency use authorization request to the FDA 10 weeks ago.  With no decision yet.  This would dramatically cut the death count.

It's one thing... the inflamed arteries are a result, but they are mostly dying in my experience seeing them daily dying from weakening lung membranes, burst alveoli and no ability to transfer 02 due covid pneumonia

I went running last May - outside, on the street, - and a woman screamed at me from her porch to put on a mask.  She was by herself on her porch wearing a mask.

I happily flipped her the bird.  Must have been shocking to her, being on the right side of history and all.

Thank g-d for a while I thought I was the only one awake in 2003.

outside by yourself lol people dont understand... in crowds indoors or outdoors standing around yes... running or walking by yourself no reason to do it

The reason leftists scream about vaccines even while only unvaccinated people are hospitalized and die is because they have no other outlets to play hero. And people with no outlets to play hero will inevitably take what they’re given and run way too far with it.

Same thing with mask debaters. They love being on the “right side of history” and view themselves in heroic terms for wearing a face diaper outside with nobody around because their personalities are vaccines against sociability.

Yeh sure tell that to my Republican friends who work in healthcare... they think CDC screwed up lifting mask mandate... but still can't understand why people don't vaxxed and agree with companies, healthcare workers and federal employees mandated to be vaxxed or agree to daily testing.

No Doc was right, nothing can be done... no antiviral drugs work... best that can be done is give O2 and hope for the best.  Doc's attitude is understandable though not very nice... but I guarantee he has seen too many cases for you or anyone else to change the minds of anyone in the medical field after the last year and a half.  Staff is short and we are burnt... I am working on figuring out how to cut back my hours... unvaxxed people are like the drunks we see... you did it to yourself...  What happened to all the Republican cries of self responsibility... sorry for the kids the death and equally sorry Docs have that faraway stare in their eyes... save yourself, get vaxxed.

please address your comment above and CDC data below. Can you explain the discrepancies?

Both of those claims are pure BS according to the CDC.

    EXACTLY.

So everyone out that is not vaccinated does not care about Covid and neither should the vaccinated.

They are not yours or my concern anymore.   We're done.

Cases are irreverent.  There will never ever ever not be cases.  Likely we'll have constant "surges."  Let the locals decide - the vaccine rates/hospitalizations of Mississippi have ZERO to do with the people of New York.

And they are using cases to justify their destruction of our democracy.

The logic is this song and dance indefinitely.

    Wake up!

Great arguing on both sides gotta to admit... but once again it is everyone's concern if you are a tax payer, work in an overwhelmed and not increasing understaffed healthcare system that is burned out.  I admit I see both sides of the issue from a legal perspective, but from a public health perspective get vaxxed... my choice, my opinion.  That being said, sick of seeing people dying from something preventable.  If you don't want to get vaxxed, then get tested regularly and wear a mask... And though Mississippi is relatively irrelevant though not entirely, Florida is not to NY.... How many folks do you know travel back and forth, vacation and go to die down there.  Famlies bring it back up to NY which is why it is increasing again even in NY.  If we all lived in a vacuum then what happens in Miss would not be an issue, but we don't so it does.  A majority of your federal tax dollars go to states like Miss and more so coming up between this and hurricane season.

Largest Teachers' Union Has Fresh Demands and Leaves People Asking if Schools Will Ever Open

In all my time on this earth, I’ve never witnessed a more dramatic fall of credibility among a certain sector of the economy than what we’ve seen with teachers over the last years. Over the course of the COVID pandemic, we’ve gone from almost universal praise of teachers as essential workers to a vast number of parents who have lost their patience.

Worse, every bit of the downfall was self-inflicted. Teachers’ unions have abused the power they never should have had in the first place, making impossible demands while leaving students to flounder. Figures like Randi Weingarten have led the way, constantly moving the goalposts to ensure that schools they have control over remain closed.

With summer hitting and the pandemic being essentially over (even if some never want to let go), it would have been fair to assume that a return to normal in the fall was imminent.

Of course, the teachers’ unions have other plans.

    More at the link: https://redstate.com/bonchie/2021/07/02/largest-teachers-union-has-fresh-demands-and-leaves-people-asking-if-schools-will-ever-open-n405740

Some serious scientific misinformation in article btw NYC schools reopening... and Teacher Union supports... depends on the state and with variants... ps this is old news before major vaccination efforts started... Agreed certain Unions like Teachers and Police Unions have overstepped bounds of reform... but article sounds like pure public school bashing from states that have substandard funding of education..

Hahaha.........you're so dumb it's comical. I will never get the vaccine for something that is over 99% survivable!

Good luck to all you pro vacciners you're going to need it going forward.

You dont want it... longterm damage to lungs and heart can happen... the experience myself sucked with my heart racing for 11 days fever and body aches.

Nope, i'll pass and let you guinea pigs go first! I equally have no patience for you idiots keep pushing others to get vaccinated, you got vaccinated, your safe so move on don't worry about me, i'll do me and you do you, got it!

Prayers hopefully you wont need them... been six months how much more time do you need...

We’re back to large crowds, in fact, we never didn’t have large crowds gathering in cities across the country all last year as people died in large numbers. Surely you know this.

Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life coming together, huddling closely at times, animated in speech and physical contact, often returning home to spread the virus in some of communities at highest risk in the country.  What was hard to understand we’re the crickets chirping or worse yet—politicians and civic leaders encouraging the behavior.  How many lives lost there?

On the other hand, If you’re only talking about the compliant folk wanting to gather, that’s happening as well and has been for some time. Surely you know this as well.

As for your suggestion, if I had immunity after having COVID, I personally would be willing to listen to the  “extra double immunity” angle, but more importantly “we’re not sure how long your immunity will last”.  Not saying I’d Vax up, and I probably wouldn’t until more data came out, but I’d listen.

I would also support someone else unwilling to listen to either argument and just push forward, knowing the risk, knowing the numbers and knowing the science that seems to contradict “just get the damn Vax” crowd. Based on the numbers, it’s exceptionally likely they would be absolutely fine and would pose no threat to others.

But, it’s a nasty ripper of a bug to some people, we agree there.

Informed choice is the key.  Tolerance helps as well.

On this, I think you’re overstating, btw.  I’m speak with folks in various fields including areas of which you speak.  Some certainly echoed what you said, others not at all.  There is not universal consensus among all health care workers and physicians that the Vax is the only answer.

A few are worried because they hear all conspiracy BS.. PS My Mom and Uncle had polio and suffered greatly til Vax wiped it out... sorry I have no patience for anti vaxxers... after seeing 11 people a day for a month... nurses, a receptionist and a nun die as well as an eight year old... im tired of internet sleuths who push BS misinformation... Get vaxxed and lets move on.

    I'll try again.

We can agree to disagree if you prefer, but when one says "it seems", another way to say it is "it seems to me".  It's entirely possible when I say "it seems", that my interpretation of what you said is incorrect.

Your first post in response to the Cleveland Clinic story included this:

The vaccine works. Getting Covid works. Covid kills and is contagious. Maybe I’ll grow a grow a third eye but it seemed like an easy choice to get the vaccine and end this thing.

If someone had the virus, survived and has developed an immunity to it, I'm not sure why it's an 'easy choice' to get vaccinated beyond running with the herd because the herd is running.   If I was in that situation, I would think it's perfectly reasonable to skip being vaccinated, and probably the right choice medically speaking.

Disclaimer:  All of these words are mine and mine alone. No mouths were filled during the preparation of this response.

The reason to get vaxed even after having covid is its not clear how long immunity will last and it boosts immunity especially if we all want to get back to large crowds... this is especially virulent and worse than the flu... if it gets into your lungs kiss your ass goodbye

Did they let everyone know before the de facto forced experimental vaccination?

Be my anecdotal experience that this makes sense... That being said it was much easier than when I had covid.

    “Choice” is key here.

Then make the correct choice and get vaxxed and lets get back to normal... its a pandemic... if you spent any time as a first responder especially in a hospital over the last year you wouldnt think twice... seeing young people in ICU's now who made the wrong choice.

Since Josh Allens arrival we are 5-1 against Miami and he has 18 TDs to 4ints. That's not including rushing totals. I think he's in their head at this point, he plays some of his best games against that team and several games have been absolute blowouts. I remember when Brady was in his prime and you knew the game was over on Wednesday, they had been that dominant against us that you just assumed it was a loss when we played NE. I'm not saying we're to that level yet, but if we dominate them twice again this year then we'll be on our way. Go Bills.

You young bucks... Miami was that to the Bills in the 70s and early 80s... 14 straight seasons of two losses...
