  1. It's going to be a very interesting next few weeks for the future of this franchise. Either he doesn't need surgery and can get back to 100% in a month or so, or the flip side is they need to rethink the position again via the draft. Not sure if there is a middle ground.
  2. Terrible, but you can't mess with UCL. Next few weeks may determine if Bills need to consider drafting another QB in the early rounds of 2019 draft.
  3. Really have to cross our fingers with any type of longterm UCL issues with Allen. Dr. James Andrews is *the* authority on UCL injuries. This could be season ending.
  4. I *almost hope Derek Anderson has to play against the Pats on MNF. They are making Mahomes look lost/pedestrian. Will eat Allen alive.
  5. It's a bummer we can't have even a slightly better offense with the way the D can play. They almost won this game on their own. It's a waste of KW's and maybe Lorax's last seasons. Most good teams cannot overcome mishaps on ST, this team def cannot.
  6. The bills have already won more games in 2018 than the browns did in 2016 and 2017 combined...so yeah, I see your point.
  7. This would prob have to be over two years from Philly's POV - 3rd in 2019 draft; 2nd in 2020 (or vice versa).
  8. That means we are putting a value on him versus just saying we're closed for business. This is interesting.
  9. They would get nothing for him, and KB will make next to nothing on his next contract.
  10. Not to mention the optics that would bring with it when they are ready to spend on free agents in the offseason. Agent: "Bills want to sign you." Player: "So I'll get paid, but they may just trade me in a year or two and I'll have to move my family again? Pass."
  11. We may all be thinking the haul is much more than being discussed. Getting a 4 that can condition to a 3 may be the absolute most. Even a 5 to a 4 may be a stretch. Honestly think a 3rd straight up is a pipe dream.
  12. This is fine, but on the flipside, the price may go down from the Eagles as the weeks tick away...esp if they really get into dire straights with wins and losses.
  13. Yeppers. Tough one. FWIW, I would have to think it would totally demoralize the entire team if they moved him for a pick. "Front office is quitting on 2018" thoughts will be impossible to prevent in the locker room.
  14. They need to do more of this: Yes, it's for two or three yards, but when the CB is that far off and you have allen's arm, you just check to this play. The safety won't be an issue unless the WR can beat the CB 1:1. At that point it's more like a 10-15 yard gain. This seems very high percentage and then will force CBs to play more press and open up "easier" over the top plays. This, of course, would mean we have some viable WRs...but it would be a start.
  15. Honestly, just do some more small, high percentage checks. Daboll should let Allen make quick throws to WRs on the outside if the CB's are more than 5 yards off before the snap. Brady probably has a 1000 completions of that sort. They are not glizty but they can get you a free 3 yards and maybe more if the WR can beat the CB 1:1.
  16. I appreciate the spirit with this, but if even one of these things happens wrt changes, please repost.
  17. Composed thoughts: The entire front office knew this was a rebuilding season. The Pegulas are giving McBeane time. In an interview, Beane said during his interview with the Pegs that he laid out how he would address the short and long term. From salary cap to getting foundational players. Sticking to his word at this point. Either way, everyone gets fired after 2020 season if Allen flames out; 2030 if he doesn't (or if they find some late round gold). I just hope Allen's best NFL career highlight IS NOT him jumping over Barr.
  18. 'notable step forward' ? How about best Bills QB 1st half in 25 years?
  19. My grandmother taught me to always open doors for ladies, and to never...ever...piss off a short irishman. I live by that code.
  20. So we saw the upside from a physical POV today, no doubt. Guys generally just don't jump over dudes as a 22 yr-old QB. He owned his time on the field in the first half when it mattered. But as a rook, I was really impressed with his complete game situational awareness. Seems silly, but he knew every nuance to the game. The clock, pre snap penalties, and penalties that were committed against him. I know it's the least sexy situation, but the way he got the team to the line to draw...a delay of game before a punt...was just heady. Hell, I though they just might go for it the way he got them up there. He was also the first guy to tell the refs his 'fumble' was a forward pass. If he develops the same way upstairs as he does with his passing, we are in for a treat.
  21. First of all, if you trade him you have to do it during the season while he is under contract and not a UFA. Second of all, no one is trading for Kelvin Benjamin.
