  1. Every team has injuries. It's the job of an NFL coach to overcome and to win. If Chan can't win, he needs to go. The bigger problem of course, is the front office at One Bills Drive which fosters an atmosphere of losing. Any coincidence that the past 4 coaches have been unsuccessful?
  2. This crappy team is not going to make the playoffs, so let's look into next season already because these suck-ers have disappointed us again. Make your predictions on what changes you would like to see or think will happen. Here's mine. - GEORGE EDWARDS FIRED - This defense sucks. We all know it. Chan will fire his "buddy" if it means saving his own ass. He'll want to get a contract renewal and that means George is done. - FJ AND SJ WILL BE BACK - Look for Buffalo to sign both Freddie Jackson and Stevie Johnson to new deals. - BUFFALO WILL MAKE ZERO IMPACT IN FREE AGENCY - Look for Buffalo to fail to address needs in free agency again. Though you can expect them to sign low salary rummies like Erik Pears again. nsive players. - VETERAN DEFENDERS WILL GET CUT - Goodbye to Shawne Merrimen, Terrance McGee, Spencer Johnson and maybe Drayton Florence. NO HELP AT WR - It's clear that Buffalo needs a big-play WR who can stretch the field. But don't look for OBD to get them one. They'll be content with Donald Jones, Roscoe Parrish, and Marcus Easley. It's likely we'll get a mid-round receiver - NO PLAYOFFS AGAIN - This team just doesn't have the commitment to winning. I'm thinking this team will be 6-10 and you yahoos will be saying "we all know they are a year off from competing," LOL
  3. This is a bit of a stretch... The is called the "jets" and that has little to do with 9/11.
  4. Someone needs to be a scapegoat for the huge collapse of this team. OBD has made some dumb decisions but they are aware of the ramifications of what this could do to tickets sales. Edwards will likely be gone - if he's not then there's a good chance Chan is leaving at the end of 2012. 3 years is more than enough time to turn around a program
  5. You gotta love that Tim Tebow! If only half the players on our team had as much heart as this guy
  6. This is a very good point and perhaps about her reason why George Edwards is not a good enough coach
  7. Agreed....you need to give CJ some open space and this line was unable to do that
  8. Wait so you are looking all the way to 2013 until Buffalo can be competitive? Sorry hoss. If we have to wait that long, than Nix's run as GM is a failure. Here's what bothers me about Nix - QB pressure was a #1 concern going into the season. Drafting Dareus was a good move but aside from signing that retread Merrimen who had been on a downward spiral, he did little to help our pass rush. I do not have confidence in Buddy and think his job should be on this hot seat. But this is Buffalo, where incompetence is not only accepted, but is the status quo.
  9. No offense man - you seem like a nice guy and god bless you for serving in the military but you can't possibly be "satisfied" with that loss. In my opinion, this is what's wrong with fans of this franchise. Do you think that this Bills act would fly in a market like New York? NO! Take a Mark Sanchez, he won the game and still ended up getting boo'ed several times. I admire your optimism, but can't say that I am satisfied with the outcome of the game. In my opinion, it epitomizes what's wrong with this franchise. Also your thinking about Stevie is very flawed. Also, what makes you think that Buddy Nix can draft well? It has yet to be seen in his tenure as GM....or even as his tenure as a Bills scout which dates back to about five years ago or so
  10. Does it really matter if we finish 9-7 or 5-11? No we missed the playoffs. The more losses we have, the better chance there is that we will see change and get a better draft pick. I just don't have confidence with the front office people. Whether we have #1 or #12, there's a good chance we'll botch the pick
  11. McKelvin is often times in position to make a play, he just has ZERO ball skills. He's a liability out there as we saw a few weeks ago. I don't think the answer is to try him at Free Safety especially when we have a decent FS in Byrd. It's going to be time to move on from yet another botched #1 draft pick
  12. Yes contribute...sure. You could get a guy off the street to "contribute." Are they good enough to win in the NFL....apparently not
  13. I am pretty sure this is foregone. You don't have one of the lowest ranked defenses two years in a row and get to keep your job in the NFL... Even in Buffalo this is unlikely
  14. You make an interesting point. That goes back to your GM, pro personnel scouts, and coaches who find guys that might be able to contribute to their team. Danny Woodhead is a good example. Sadly so is Aaron Maybin. Buddy Nix and his scouts have not found these types of players.
  15. Its almost certain... Barring a dominating defensive performance over the next 5 weeks, George Edwards will be fired... canned....cut loose. My question is, at what point do we hold Buddy Nix accountable for the lackluster talent he put on the team? His drafting has been suspect at best - guys like Spiller and Dareus may show potential but aren't making big plays in big games. Going into this year, this team had glaring holes -- and many of those were filled with retreads or inexperienced players who don't get the job done. We needed depth -- we knew this. Yet one look at our roster and you knew if a few injuries happened we would be toast. And here we are... Toast. Edwards has coached awful -- yes. But he's not the one who can't make a play in the ball, cover a wide receiver, or sack the QB. The subpar talent on this team is. Take a guy like GM Alex Spanos on San Diego. He's found some great talent along with AJ Smith. But San Diego is underperforming and he's likely to get fired for it. At some point, we to examine the job Nix has done. I sure hope the GM seat at One Bills Drive is getting warmer -- it should be.
  16. Oh yeah, he was getting best big time. It does look like he's trying his butt off, though he should not be asked to make those plays. It's kind of like having Poz play LB in last years defense or having Whitner play CB. They are asking players to play positions they just aren't good enough in
  17. How am trolling? I'm bringing up a fairly good argument that talent-wise, this team is very average. Yes all teams have holes but teams with good players -- All Pro players can compensate and find ways to win. Buffalo does not have these players on their roster. We can blame George Edwards all you want -- I agree he's a bad coach who should be fired -- but you can't argue that our front office has done a solid job of finding talent in the draft and otherwise. Blizzard I agree that this team needs depth. Based on the huge amount of yards they gave up, I was always concerned about our defense. All teams encounter injuries -- it's part of the game. Good coaches and players make adjustments and find ways to be successful. Look at the injuries in offense to Green Bay! My point is, we don't have these players and Buddy Nix needs to be held accountable
  18. I am about 95% we'll see Edwards fired at the end of the season. Actually a "real" owner would probably get rid of the GM (Nix) and the head coach (Chan) after this season's collapse. But senile Ralph won't do that... As we've seen with Jauron, he'll stay with a losing coach until things bottom out. Chan is doing what he can with average talent. It's a two way street here though, there's bad players on a bad defense. Buddy, Chan, and Edwards all deserve blame here
  19. It wasn't meant to be taken literally - it was a shot at the fans in this forum who blindly think that things over at One Bills Drive are good. Make no mistake about it - this is an untalented team who need a LOT of help in MANY areas. I am sick of people saying things like "oh we're just one player away." We need a LOT of help to be competitive and until Wilson brings in real people to run this team, make no mistake about it, it will not happen Kyle Williams is solid.....but we could definitely use another DE to get pressure on the QB. I have hope that Dareus will be good someday but how many times has he been invisible this year. I am not sold on Craig Urbik or Chad Rinehardt at guard. We need an upgrade. Did you see how many holes they opened up the middle? Me either.... I love George Wilson as a team leader but he has been out of place many times this year in pass coverage against the Tight Ends. We need to upgrade there as well.
  20. I know the feeling.....This team is a franchise of losers and that starts up at the top with Ralph WIlson, who refuses to make the necessary changes to win. I don't feel that we will be competitive until there is a change in ownership. I get a lot of flack in the chatrooms for being critical of this franchise and for saying things like this is a "piece of S**T" team, but really it is. The people of Western, NY and Bills fans all around the United States are hardworking, and loyal supporters of this franchise. They deserve better than to watch an untalented group of nobodies make boneheaded plays and lose games. I will still follow this team, but I do believe that they are a team of losers.
  21. Relax everyone. Yeah I know this team sucks but we are almost there as a lot of optimistic posters have said we are "almost there." Here's what we need: - 1 new DE - 1 new DT - a big play wide receiver - 1 possession receiver - 1 new tackle - 1 new guard - 2 new cornerbacks - 2 new linebackers - 1 kickoff specialist - 1 Safety and don't forget: - a new GM - a new defensive coordinator - oh and maybe a new coach - PLUS it might not be bad to have a quarterback that actually has armstrength. So let's add "1 new QB" to the list. See so when you put things into perspective, we aren't so far off after all. Things are finally starting to "look up," in Buffalo. And maybe -- just maybe, the Bills are NOT the most disappointing, most pathetic, losing franchise that a lot of people seem to profess them to be. Or....maybe WE'RE SCREWED FOR YEARS TO COME! I think the latter
  22. I didn't listen to the post-season interview from Chan, though I'm curious to know his take on the BLOWN CALL that likely shifted the momentum and helped to cost us the game. If anyone heard, please post a link...I'm surprised this hasn't been more of an issue in the media
  23. According to an article on NFL.com, the owners of the new stadium in Los Angeles claim that the Bills and Jaguars are first on the list to relocate to LA. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Personally, I think this is someone talking out his arse. I doubt that the NFL will allow Buffalo to relocate, while teams like Jacksonville and St. Louis have severe attendance issues.
  24. What is the fate of the three jokers? The remaining cancer of the Tom Donahoe era. Have we heard what the plans are for these three men who have destroyed this football team, and set them back for years to come?
