  1. I guess that's better than how you make excuses for the Bills loss.
  2. We have to patient...rebuilding takes 8-10. It takes about 10 years to rebuild a team you know. Look at San Francisco last year. 10 years.
  3. Right but rather than taking chances on a rookie QB, I think we should try to play to our strengths.
  4. You make some very good points. I wish that the problem was only as simple as firing Chan. I do believe that he is a very mediocre coach - there's a lot of them out there. The problem stems not only from Chan's inability to use his talent, but also from our GM's inability to give him players that can play. It's a two way street here fans. The man that holds the key to making this a winning franchise is NOT Buddy Nix. It's NOT Chan Gailey. It's not Ryan Fitzpatrick. It's Ralph Wilson. He will not hire a competent GM to run this team and even if he did give up the money and the power, no one wants to work for Old man Wilson. The biggest problem with this franchise is RALPH.
  5. If we're stuck with Ryan Fitzpatrick, it's clear that we are going to have to change the way we play offense. We are going to have to move from the "spread offense" to a two Tight End set that runs the ball with Fred and CJ and chews up a lot of clock. For this to happen of course, Buddy needs to find us better offensive linemen and a NEW defense that shuts teams down. It's clear that Fitz' noodle arm alone will not beat anyone. He is a gambler but can be inaccurate at times down the stretch. Another WR would help, but I'd rather see us replaced some of the dead weight on this team that isn't good enough. Let's win games ugly again. Hell let's WIN for a change!
  6. Here is how I rate this years' draft class. Overall Buddy has shown that he can find very average players. So far, none of these guys scream out "Pro Bowl" Overall I give Buddy Nix a C for these finds 1. Marcel Darius -- B- Shown brief flashed but otherwise invisible at times. He's started but aside from Washington he was never a difference maker. 29 tackles and 3.5 sacks are "ho-hum" numbers. 2. Aaron Williams - C+ Has played well after his injury but also made mistakes that cost the team a big game against the Jets. Potential to be a good player but average in his rookie year. 3. Kelvin Sheppard - C+ Seems to be developing, though has been out-of-his element at time. 4. Da'Norris Searcy - C SEE ABOVE. Also made some costly mistakes that contributed to losses 5. Chris Hairston - C+ Started a few games and held his own. Not sure if he is good enough to be a starter in the NFL 6. Johnny White - D- Nealy invisible this season but didn't get many touches 6. Chris White - NA 7. Justin Rodgers - C Played briefly in limited duty. Seemed to be better than Reggie Corner 7. Michael Jasper - NA
  7. But what makes you think that Buddy and company will select the right player, regardless of where they pick? I have yet to see anything extraordinary from Dareus this season to justify such a high selection.
  8. bender, even if we had the #1 overall pick I am not confident that Bills front office could select a player that could contribute. Look at our talent and the people we've missed drafting or released because they did nothing. We have a very poor team This team doesn't DESERVE to win....they are a group of losers lead by some old man who doesn't do what's needed to compete in the NFL. "No country for old men" like Buddy and Ralph? DANG RIGHT
  9. Normally I wouldn't root for them, but seeing how our crappy team is out of the playoffs, I'm cheering for a tough, hard-nosed, team that DESERVES to be in the postseason. Denver WANTS it.....We do NOT. Bills suck
  10. I am a lifelong Bills fan, but I'm very frustrated over our lack of talent and the losses we've been racking up. I have tickets to the game against Denver on December 24, and I just want to announce I will be cheering for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. My reason for this is that Denver is a very tough, well-coached team, featuring a QB who not that great but plays with tremendous heart and finds some way to win. The Bills are the opposite of this -- a poorly coached, undisciplined teams that finds a way to LOSE. I am still a Bills fan, but I will be rooting that Denver finds a way to get into the postseason. LOSER BILLS!
  11. I am disgusted. Lousy coaching and lousy players. This team is such a royal piece of garbage that we'll be luck to finish about .500
  12. Ok good. It seems like most people are in agreement with me. This franchise has MAJOR issues and it's very unlikely they'll ever make the playoffs under current ownership. . BUT rather than dwelling in the depressing truth, it's important to BILL-EIVE that we'll somehow catch a break. I get it now. People aren't saying that my comments about the franchise being flawed are untrue, they just would rather turn a blind eye to the dark side and accentuate the few positives. If anyone's from Buffalo, I am very much like columnist Jerry Sullivan. I love this team but hate to see them fumble around for years now
  13. I was sad to see this. Unused to read Allen Wilson all the time. Rest in Peace Bro
  14. What makes you think Whaley is going to be any better than Nix? If the talent on this team is a problem, then he's partly responsible too Clearly you don't understand. Spanos is so concerned that Turner/Smith killed their fan interest that he's wiling to fire these two clowns and eat millions of dollars to become successful again. That's a commitment to winning. No way, Ralph would do this. Like with Nix, he'd only hire internally or bring back Marv Levy as GM
  15. I have to agree... In 2008 Perry Fewell had most of the players that Edwards had in 2009. Fewell's defenses were far from dominating but they were decent enough. If we had any offense those teams night have had a shot at postseason. And who is the person responsible for finding talent?
  16. First of its been reported that Chargers owner Alex Spanos will fire both Norv Turner and probably AJ Smith as well. My question us, how awesome would it be to have AJ back in Buffalo? Either as an assistant GM or even to take over for Buddy Nix at the end of the season. AJ has an ego and would command a large paycheck but still, he has a proven record of finding Pro Bowl talent. Also props to Alex Spanos for being an owner who gives damn about his franchise. If only we had an owner with a winning mentality. Maybe someday
  17. I am NOT a troll but yeah I'm not thrilled about how things are going with this team. I've grown up a Bills fan throughout my childhood. I wore the old vinyl Starter jacket to school and grew up wanting to see the Bills FINALLY win the big one. They've come close, several times but I keep hoping they'll finally do it. Throughout the 90's they were very competitive but over the last 10 years it's been pathetic. I want to be optimistic, but there's no reason to think that things will be better when it's the same old, same old
  18. Hmmmm is 5-6 good enough for you? By the way, I have every right to exercise my opinion
  19. As someone stated earlier... In this decade it doesn't take FOUR years to turn around a team. When an owner and GM hire the right people there's no reason to think an uncompetitive team can't turn things around in a season or two. This is what a GOOD GM does. If they don't succeed in a few years, you get rid of them and find someone who can. Theres a lot of saavy, experienced people in the NFL and we dont bring them in. We have been a failure for years now and it's sad. I get your point about giving Buddy Nix a chance, but has anything he done really made you think "Wow, he really knows what he's doing?" I haven't gotten this feeling about him. Sure much of this is based on Wilson's track record of putting incompetent people in charge. But what makes you think history won't repeat itself? What makes you think Nix will succeed where then previous GM's have failed?
  20. Troupe was a bad pick. It seems like Buffalo always tries to draft the "project" with "raw talent," instead of finding guys that are NFL ready. Our coaching staff doesn't exactly have a stellar record of developing good players while they are here in Buffalo
  21. You can feed Freddie the ball... He gets a ton of yards after contact. Spiller does not seem like that type of back. He needs open space to make it happen. With a good OL he might be an impressive player. On this team, he is very limited. I don't think our line is good enough to utilize Spiller to his full potential.
