    LOL, indeed.

Seriously though, from the angle that we'll get up for Miami it makes sense, but losing to them seems all but inconceivable.  NE and the Jets beat us once each those past season, NE nearly twice, and both teams have improved.  It's not difficult to envision us splitting with them again, or the Jets even taking two.

((I think the original post you replied to about the ordering was a joke, sir))

We haven't lost to the Dolphins though other than in that heat game in which we entirely outplayed them, and otherwise since Allen's 7th ever start and his first game against them, in Miami.   We own Miami.

The Jets H/A games many think will be our toughest.  If Rodgers stays healthy that's likely the case, no?

Once again, we don’t have all the information, so I’m not sure what the HC has faith in. I can’t judge the kicker or the HC based upon mere speculation. Was he dinged up? Did he develop the yips? I don’t know what the problem was. I just hope Bass comes back 100% healthy and returns to his old form.

that he seemingly lost his leg mid season sure does indicate a possible injury

but if hurt why in the world didn’t they pick someone up and let him heal for a bit?

if not hurt, they seemingly lost a ton of confidence in him which is also worrisome.

it’s a lose-lose for evaluating last years results but hopefully he plays better this year

honestly that kick worries me less than how they used him the entire back half of the season

I even think that was tongue in cheek.

the word seems to be Kraft was not coming because it would be uncomfortable for both him and Brady but then he was a surprise in the crowd when comics went on stage

so I suspect this was a genuinely awkward human moment

We've all seen this since day 1 when he stepped on the field. JA17 has that "clutch" gene you just don't find too often. He steps straight out of the phone booth and onto the field when it's all on the line.

that’s code for being able to do things no one else can but not being able to carry that load for 20 weeks of full games.

It’s the same reason his stats in December/January are great - take him off the leash and he’s next level elite

And last year we were projected a 3rd gor this past draft. I give up trying to figure out that formula.

I mean projections for the last many years have been spot on minus like 2-3 picks being off by a round?

    frustrating, sure.

    lifes unknowable mysteries? Not really.

….and they will often outgrow them before the next cold season, so I guess you hope you can hand them down. .

Regarding the weather, my least favorite is damp and windy around 40 degrees. That’s nasty! I’d rather have 10 degrees and snow……as long as a I have a good puffer coat!

yup. Especially hard on families if they only get a year out of them.

I think we just started keons closet, a take one/leave one winter coat charity.

Can’t imagine the Bills counting on Hyde in any way at this point. Had a great run here, but it’s over.

But that’s the thing. With 3 other potential starting caliber players, they aren’t counting on him in any meaningful way. He’d be all upside for the roster. They could manage snaps, etc… and maximize his impact while limiting his exposure

Think he announces his retirement at his softball game like others have suggested.

Kinda think we are done adding players at safety. Edwards, Rapp and Bishop will be the main guys back there this year. I think the cap space we come into on 6/1 will be used  in-season (injury replacements, trade deadline acquisition) rather than to add another safety

my gut is he may be a “stay in shape and we have you on speed dial” guy in case of injury

I think you read me wrong man. I wasn't questioning the need or the purpose. I literally was asking about the weather.

oh no worries just thought I’d share extra through’s. A coats super appreciated a few weeks a year but that’s a lot of money for some families for just a few weeks.

If Colman  becomes our #1WR i

Samuel is probably the best # 2 WR we’ve had here in a while

and Shakir as # 3 WR is pretty darn good IMO

add our  two TE’s and Cook out of the backfield  i feel good about this group

I’ll contain it to the top 4 WR still as that was the claim -

    written another way…

are we thinking rookie WR7 is a top 15 receiver in the league and Samuel is an upgrade of note despite being much cheaper than the guy he’s replacing?

i think both players will have fun flashes but I think saying this is our best group is perhaps…. Optimistic.

See I no longer think it was this deep class.

1-3 are probably going to be elite.

The rest are exciting hope to hit prospects.  Some of which are over 22/23 years old and I’m not losing sleep over them.

I’m glad we got Coleman.  I think not double dipping is an acknowledgement that Shakir is a massive part of this offense.

if Shakir is a massive piece he’s going to be too expensive and this was the year to draft likely developmental guy to replace him in 2 years (similar to Davis and Shakir requiring 2 years to be trusted)

This board really does crack me up.  The Bills’ projected top 4 WR of Coleman, Shakir, Samuel, and Hollins (I love the people sleeping on him) is as good as we’ve had here in some time.  NOBODY with a brain thinks the 8 guys they have brought in to compete for spots #5 and 6 are making a difference in any way besides special teams.  Add a blue chipper in Kincaid, along with Cook, Knox, and Ray Davis, and there is absolutely NO reason to think this team doesn’t have an offense capable of scoring almost at will.

The Bills’ top 5 projected “pass catchers” going into this season easily rival any of the teams I mentioned, save SF.

Some of you just love to complain.

you think Coleman-Shakir-Samuel-hollins is “as good as anyone we have had here in some time”?

He was traded from the Falcons. The Browns essentially hacked a year off his contract and yes, with the Panthers it was a 1 year deal. Allowed to leave in that it was three different situations in the three different places. I was trying to find a form of words that covers them all.

4th team in 4 years. They are the facts.

also, sure his contract expired but at that tier, a team can basically own the decision with any modest offer. So that he’s here means they definitely let him walk.

Thanks for your Davis input.  I bring that up because I do believe the negative plays he generated is not talked about enough.

His occasional big plays are definitely offset by the bad ones and the complete vanishing act in too many games.

I'm as interested as anyone about the deep threat "apparent" void.  I can't answer that, and I will definitely want to see who is doing

that in camp and how they are faring.

It will be a challenge for Brady to find a way of splitting Diggs's targets and production among the WRs and TEs.  Another question that

has to be addressed.  I guess my overall opinion is, it's not insurmountable.  It definitely is going to put a change of tactics on Josh Allen's

shoulders.  I'm going to trust him and Brady to figure it out until next season when I see another starting WR brought in.

Bottom line for me is I have a hard time being all doom and gloom with Allen as the QB.  Josh and Brady having to be on the same page goes

    without saying.

not to speak for Kirby but I think sometimes there are a few of us that express frustration and people read that as 3-14 doom and gloom instead of unlikely to overtake the champion and win one ourselves doom and gloom.

I fully expect us to be very competitive as long as Josh holds up in one piece. Though I think we will need to ask him to shoulder more and for longer to make results happen this year and that’s worrisome.

Coming from a place of complete ignorance, I have to ask (I'm guessing given your name and profile pic that you're in the know...) how cold does it get down there? Are winter coats something of a scarcity?

    a few thoughts-

doesn’t have to be his home town

certainly get some chilly days. We had some stretches in the 20s this year. Not just being uncommon but also being a damp windy cold can be real unpleasant. And plenty of places are designed to filter heat away from people to combat the summer (high ceilings, not great heat systems etc…)

last up- if uncertain how to put food on the table are you skipping meals to buy a coat for a short winter or just telling kids to layer up with some undershirts and a hoodie?

You can’t really include Rice for KC because he is going to jail.  However, you need to add Worthy.

I think you should add GB to your list and Houston.

He’s comparing this years bills to last years contenders not this years contenders

It has been repeated so often how the Bills are “in trouble” at WR because of Beane’s supposed mismanagement of the roster and the losses of Diggs and Davis, that I finally started really looking at what is going on around the league.  I started with the four teams who made the conference championships last season:  KC, Baltimore, Detroit, and SF.  SF is sort of an anomaly because they are loaded at the skill positions — perhaps the best group in the league.

But the other three — a completely different story.

    KC:  Kelce, Rice, Pacheco, and…?

BAL:  Andrews, Flowers, Edwards, OBJ, and…?

DET:  St. Brown, LaPorta, Reynolds, Gibbs, and…?

Notice something about all three?  The TE may be the best receiver on the team, and their WR rooms are anything other than “loaded.”

The Bills will roll out Kincaid, Coleman, Shakir, Samuel, and Cook…aside from the unknown that is Coleman, this is a group one could very easily argue is more talented than what those other teams put on the field last season while getting to their conference championships.

    Agree?  Disagree?

I think until proven otherwise we are the weakest group on that list

but that doesn’t mean it’s an insurmountable gap- Kincaid steps forward, Coleman shows up and we can be in the mix with Josh.

But it underscores that we are a half step behind and it’ll likely be an uphill battle.

This is a very expensive 35 catches, 565 yards, and 3 TD's over 14 games.

Maybe OBJ has one or two more 1k years left in him, but he is running on fumes.

at this point I’m here for him taking out teammates to the clubs and other distractions-

im not sure he’s an actual net positive for them

I think Hardy has a real shot to make this team. First off as depth at CB. I can see them wanting someone young back there to keep the pipeline full. Second, he was one of the top rated returners in the nation last year in college. Chances are good he gets a shot and that's what may earn him not only a roster spot...but a jersey bon Sundays.

Have to remember as well, we lost some core ST guys this year such as Matakevich and Neal. They may or may not be replaced by guys with the same core position so it may play into carrying less at some spots and more at others than we have in years past. The new kickoff/coverage rules may also alter the numbers a tad as well

Yea the competition for the 53rd could be him and hamler for instance

Not the same group but I wouldn’t be shocked

Bad hamstrings and a heart condition.

I think it’s still a long shot for him to have any kind of meaningful role, but he’s talented. Like an above poster mentioned, if he can gun or return kicks he could make it. Otherwise he’s a safe bet for the practice squad.

Teams also stopped playing single high against us.

Cook should help that return, but taking away Josh’s deep game has been defensive’s priority.

he’s the definition of not even buying a lotto ticket but finding one… not great odds but you never know what could’ve fallen out of someone’s pocket. You aren’t making financial decisions or quitting your job based on simply possessing it though
