The occupy Wall Street movement spreads
....lybob replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Pundits say the protest message is muddled and the demands are not concise - can anyone tell me how to make concise the changes we want made to reverse the 30+ years of changes in finance regulations, trade regulations, tax law, bankruptcy law, election finance law, corporate law, supreme court precedent, civil rights, media regulations, consolidations of media and privatization of previously government functions that favor the top 1%. -

Consequences for "reset button" bad behavior

The only consequence the Russian veto is about is the consequence of NATO backed regime change in Libya under the guise of "protecting civilians". -
Concerned about our linebackers
....lybob replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills defense corrected the size deficit but now they have a LB speed deficit, so not much gang tackling and our single tacklers didn't get the job done. Also when Dalton was flushed from the pocket he looked like Michael Vick with a jet pack and I can't believe that a ginger is that fast. -
Maybe Cinci is better than we thought...

I think on defense the Bills were exposed with the lack of speed in their LBs and a secondary that got mismatched against bigger players (Green, Gresham,) On offense while I don't think the OLine got destroyed I'd say they loss more than they won -
Do the bills have the best O-line in the NFL?
....lybob replied to buffalover4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Bell and I think he matches up well against most speed rushers but today we see once again that he has a hell of a time against power but I shouldn't single out Bell because the rest of the line got pushed around pretty good too. -
What this loss showed to me was that we need a little more speed on defense- the Bills did an ok job with collapsing the pocket but when Dalton got flushed outside the pocket no one could close on and tackle the guy- Dalton should not look like Vick running away from everyone.

You need more than one good RB- while I was against the Spiller pick and don't think Spiller is the guy who can be a workhorse for you I wouldn't trade Spiller for less than a first round pick which I can't see anybody offering- and considering Jackson's age, one of my first three picks is probably going for a RB unless Johnny White is the second coming.

Inner city youth mob attacks continue…

If Dalrymple had worked at Betty Ford we'd get a book how substance abuse makes you affluence,if he was an NBA trainer he'd probably write a book about how playing basketball makes you taller than average. If this is your general theory you should explain all the countries that have more social spending and less social turmoil and all the countries that have less social spending and more social turmoil- or perhaps you care to explain the American or French revolution with this theory- or maybe the tremendous gang violence, riots, and massacres taking place in NY city between 1820-1910, I can show more positive correlation between the Tea party, The BP oil disaster, The Volt, The end of the space Shuttle, skinny jeans, and Ipads with social unrest than you can to social spending. -

as for Dalrymple, anecdotes are not scholarship, when unemployment rates in America go from near 10% during the first years of Reagan's Presidency to under 4% during Clinton and back over 9% with Obama do you really think that has a !@#$ing thing to do with values? do you think that the 500mil Chinese who have risen out of poverty did so because they suddenly changed their values, and if it's social programs ruining every think shouldn't Norway, Denmark, and Sweden be hellholes while Somalia and Mexico be paradises- this is a chart of social spending as compared to GDP for OECD countries- Sweden (31.3) France (28.7) Denmark (27.6) Germany (27.3) Belgium (26.5) Austria (26.1) Norway (25.1) Italy (24.2) Portugal (23.5) Poland (22.9) Hungary (22.7) Finland (22.5) Luxembourg (22.2) Greece (21.3) Czech Republic (21.1) Netherlands (20.7) OECD-30 (20.6) Switzerland (20.5) Spain (20.3) United Kingdom (20.1) Iceland (18.7) New Zealand (18) Australia (17.9) Japan (17.7) Slovak Republic (17.3) Canada (17.3) United States (16.2) Ireland (15.9) Turkey (13.2) Mexico (6.8) Korea (5.7 prove a correlation between social spending and whatever moral decadency your pea brain thinks we are undergoing in the world. -

These programs have been in place for 40+ years, now some people would think a new behavior would be caused by a recent change in the environment like say a massive increase in youth unemployment- but not you geniuses, you're going to blames something that's been around for 45 years- if you look at historical crime statistics you see crime rates increasing from the early 1950's peaking around 1980 and declining to at least 2009- so it looks to me that in place social programs have about zero to do with either increases in crime rates or decreases in crime rates - I don't expect people on this board to prove causation but it'd be nice if you at least showed correlation. -

Unemployment Hiest In Red States
....lybob replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Dave doesn't seem to be here so I'll explain it to you Jim ........ it's God, ever since the Civil War where the North sacrificed their own children to maintain the Union God has form the opinion that the North holds the South as more precious than their own children so every time that a Northern State pisses God off like when NY allows gay marriage God punishes NY by causing wild fires in Texas or tornadoes in Tennessee- and a while back God came to me in a dream and said if you watch midget porn again I will smote South Carolina with high employment - and well I really like my midget porn. -
These mugs are everywhere, the "PricewaterhouseCoopers rules Deloitte Touche drools" graffiti is pervasive on marble stalls, usually done in gold leaf with a fancy letter stencil, the last one I saw had "Ernst & Young Biotches" written over it with a sharpie though.

Bible Quotes? really? I'll give you a good one unedited. "He lends at usury and takes excessive interest. Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he will surely be put to death and his blood will be on his own head" Ezekiel 18:13

As I had the Bills as a 6-10 team, this fast start makes me think this may be the first time in 11 years where I'll miss my prediction by more than 1 game- dead on 4 times off by one the rest- so I'm optimistic that by the end of the season the board can call me a nattering nabob of negativity.

The key point to Hypocrisy is moral judgement and/or avocation of punishment whether legal or social- Palin could talk about abstinence, the advantages of abstinence, abstinence only sex ed and so on and not be a hypocrite, she might be advocating an unrealistic lifestyle and an education policy that does more harm than good but it wouldn't necessarily be hypocritical- but if she claims moral superiority either by elevating herself and her family or by denigrating others who do not hold to her point of view that would be hypocritical.
