  1. For me the big positive is the emergence of Fitz. I've decided to allow myself to believe he has what it takes to be the long term answer at quarterback. Ive admitted now on a few occasions that I still believed that based on his Rob Johnson-like natural gifts that Trent Edwards was our last best hope at quarterback, and when he failed I figured we were going to be less than zero. I had -0-faith that RF was going to be anything other than a high IQ Alex Vanpelt as a starter: That he'd give you a chance to win, maybe make the offensive line look a little better than it had, but that was about it. I really believe that the way he's played, his youth, character, intellect. (all that stuff) Lends itself to building around him. At least we dont need to feel pressured into taking a 1st rounder at QB. We take a pass rusher in the 1st, maybe a qb in the 2nd or 3rd. Bring a qb up the way he's supposed to be, because we have time. We have our franchise qb.
  2. hear hear.......and this post shows heart..he was so overcome with emotion he was missin keys
  3. Im happy to admit that I was wrong about RF. I had him pegged as a lifelong backup. A great guy to have on the team to come off the bench, and even get you a win in the right situation. A total character guy, but with limited skills that would relegate him carrying a clipboard his whole career. I know it's early, but thus far he's proven me wrong. If this is how its going to be? Im totally down with having him leading the offense for the forseeable future. War Fitzpatrick
  4. i like what you said.......but, "air apparant" and "get'er done"? c'mon bro, back away from the neckeotype.
  5. If they could find a way to extract Maybins head from his arse, we wouldnt need the olb, lol.
  6. if Fitzpatrick finishes the season playing like he did yesterday, and we blow a 1st round pick on a QB, then we are truly retarded....If he plays out the season playing like he did against Baltimore, then we take a pass rushing OLB'er period.
  7. Im with you bro. Im really happy and surprized at how well RF is playing, and its making me think that at 26yrs old he may be the answer after all. Im stoked about the emergence of Stevie Johnson, and look foward to watching the further development of David Nelson. At this point my win/loss expectations and a playoff appearance is out of the question. But we have 10 games left to play. I hope we play EVERY remaining game as effectively as we did yesterday. Anyone who is actually hoping the Bills LOSE their remaining games so that they get a higher draft pick is not a Bills fan at all. I dont know what they are, but true BILLS fan is off the table.
  8. Wang is a natural tackle with good feet and less power..having him at anything other than left tackle is a stretch. Howard should probably stick with guard. Levitre at RT is ok, but you have to replace him with an actual guard (not Wang). Putting wood at Center is fine. What makes you think CH is a starter at LT. All in all, the line we have NOW is superior to your speculative lineup, IMO.
  9. That's one of the wonderful things about our democracy...even total a55holes can voice their opinions.
  10. I understand the frustration regarding Maybin....but what exactly are you trying to accomplish with your post? This is the attitude that frustrates me about football fans and political pundits in general. Just a snarky non-productive stab at somebody or something, without anything productive or insightful to say. Do you have a time machine that we dont know about, that would enable us to go back and make him a 4th rounder?
  11. Let's say we just take a guy that we think can play a little. Take a Trent Dilfer in the third round, get him a line to play behind for gods sake. Im still hoping we can find a guy that can play right tackle before the years over. We should have jammed Calloway onto the practice squad imo.
  12. F that. That's what separates Fitz from Sallys like Trent Edwards. Fitz has balls and doesn't play scared. It shows his toughness and I hope it rubs off on some of his teammates. Spoken like a true redneck
  13. The whole "cash Lil Donte'" crowd will never go into agreement with anything other than "he sucks"....once they get goin on something like that, facts dont matter. I was kind of afraid that Byrds picks last year had a lot to do with luck. I mean, its certainly something that he was in the right place at the right time last year as much as he was. And he may have been in the right place just as many times THIS year. But you cant count on having balls tipped the way they were. But just like injuries the last two years, good/bad luck have a lot to do with it. Im kind of surprized to see that we would cut Meredith the way we did. Calloway too, especially considering the fact that he was a fairly dominant RT at Iowa. I would have liked to seen him get a shot to replace C. Green. I still havent heard anything about who we might be grooming to replace THAT guy. I dont see it being Wang. I would love to see D. Bell get a full healthy season under his belt, but at the beginning of the season I was excited to see what Wang could do.
  14. a voice of reason Who called you a rude punk?? What made those words enter your mind?
  15. Ive never laughed after a Bills loss before.....but if that happened, i do believe I'd laugh my bag off.
  16. Christine O'Donnell is going to be our new offensive play caller, eh?
  17. Really, the whole point of my thread was less about Locker, and more about some of the miserable know it all pukes who are constantly bashing our players. It's a game. I enjoy seeing them win as much as ANYBODY. But the reason i like to see them win so much is because theyre MY GUYS. I adopt them as MY GUYS the minute the put on the Bills helmet and go out there to battle. When your kid gets dribbled passed or dunked over, do you stand up in the stands and scream down the coach, or call out your son on the court? (maybe some of you do) And to use the excuse that it happens everywhere, i know youre right. A55holes are everywhere. It's a personal choice when you decide to be one of them. The thread was more about the malice that a young player with high expectations looming overhead would rightly expect to recieve if they came to Buffalo. An attempt to have some people think about maybe chilling out some of the rhetoric. Go Bills
  18. ok......ill type slower, so that you can understand. The part about Locker going 4 for 20 so as not to be taken as the first QB in the draft was sarcasm. My point was to suggest that any collegiate star QB would be shetting in his socks at the prospect of coming to play for Buffalo, and having to endure the onslaught of malice that he would receive as a result of his "acheivement". And to the dude that will never get his 20 seconds back, I doubt you were going to cure cancer during that period anyway.
  19. I was just thinking about how a lot of Bills "fan" posters **** all over our former first rounders, then asked myself how a prospective star QB would percieve the prospect of being our QB of the future. If there were some Jake Locker, or Mallet, or Luck who actually read these threads, how excited would he be to come here, knowing what the future would hold. He'd know how little rope he would have before some of these guys would be camped out in their hemmorhoids; the namecalling, the vandalism, the venom......the second-guessing of the administration for having selected him. But no pressure, lol. First pick, first fumble, first interception thrown, We'd have guys calling for some third stringer to replace him. It's not hard for me to imagine an Eli Manning/John Elway scenario occurring for Buffalo. Hopefully, though, they arent doing any research to discover the true mindset of the average Bills fan(poster).
  20. What difference would Incognito have made? In your mind, do you have him starting in front of Wood or Levitre?
  21. of all the things to whine about, you pick this....get a friggin life. Oh yeah, dont forget, Whitner has also failed to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice.
