Probably your last sentence here puts you in a distinct minority.
My preferred place on this board.

Yeah why would want a guy that had a passer rating over 140 in his last few games. We definitely don't want that. Lets reach for a rookie and hope he gets to an 80 rating in his first year.
I think the was 18-19 on MNF this year. 6 foot 4, great touch on the ball, never had good protection in SF.
Thank you for the injection of thought and logic. The NFL's biggest crapshoot is drafting QBs. Why dedicate a high draft pick and three years of development knowing the league-wide success rate is so low. Smith has been very good for two years, would be a dramatic upgrade over anything we've had since Kelly and has proven he can win. Alex Smith is my hopeful long-term solution.

Wow, it's gotta be some kind of sin to be this drunk on Easter morning.
Imagine
Imagine no receivers
I wonder if you can
No one to catch or throw to
A losing year for Chan
Imagine all the draft picks
We'd get for Marshawn!
You, you may say Derrick's a dreamer
He may be the only one
I hope that Buddy Nix ain't listening
Or the Bills are surely done
We need more like you writing here.

Marty-ball would be perfect in the elements of Buffalo....Michael Lombardi's article makes perfect sense. Buffalo needs two massive lines that dominate the opposing teams.
Greetings! First time posting for me. Long time reader of this forum, season ticket holder, lifelong fan and not about to jump ship.
Marty S. is my absolute top choice for all the reasons posted. This guy wins and wins by pounding it. Once you hit October here, that's the way to play winning football. I don’t think we're going to get another Jim Kelly anytime soon. Regarding Marty not winning a Super Bowl, neither have we. Let's get together and remedy that piece of history for everyone.
Preliminary Mock - Any Changes Needed?

Yes. We need about eight additional picks.
