  1. Incognito Wood Levitre Bell Meredith Butler Hangartner I don't know who I am forgetting...Obviously not house-hold names at this point, but they're not all going to be pro-bowlers. Could the talent be here for a decent coaching staff think they could mold these guys into a solid unit? Still missing 1 piece maybe, but I think they are close...
  2. I look at the Redskins situation with Shanahan, and they got it done....WHY? Because Shanahan WANTS to be there. If Cowher wanted to be in Buffalo, this would be done. I think the Bills should cut this off publicly. He should no longer be on our radar. (of course, this board would quiet down considerably)
  3. McDermott's name has come up recently, and I'd just like to vote NO on this one. He just took over for Jimmy Johnson half way thru the summer. If we are talking experience, I don't think this guy has it.
  4. I once met Marty at the NE Philadelphia Airport. Nice guy.
  5. Jeff Wright....Loved this guy's heart There was another NT with a big NOSE from the Boston area...FRED SMERLAS...NICE!
  6. Mark Kelso - the human towel He would go to tackle someone and he would be flapping in the wind behind the guy like a towel.
  7. He was only in town for a few years, but I really liked Larry Centers. I think he was close to the top of the league in catches while he was here...
  8. I'd like to be in charge of rumors...do you have a position like that?
  9. He reminds me of Jemarcus RUssell, except that he had a ****ty last year before he came out...I would pass on him.
  10. Right back at ya! Are you military? If so, thank you very much!
  11. I think you are overly optimistic about next week's game. Remember, they couldn't beat Steelers backups when the playoffs were on the line. I don't see a lot of difference between this team and that one...oh wait, that team was better.
  12. It looks like next week's game WILL be a pre-season game...
  13. They couldn't beat Carolina today. They couldn't beat Tampa Bay today. The Jets win was a complete fluke. It's incredible. With or without the injuries, there is no area where this team has improved. Even special teams has regressed. The Charlie Weiss rumors scare me. I'd think he'd be great for coordinator, but NOT HC.
  14. Guys, my point was not necessarily about the draft position...instead, have we been finding out what we really have? And therefore what we really need. These wins where the stats are so utterly lopsided towards the loosing team don't seem to tell the true story of the game. Granted, this type of game happens once in every team's season, but of the 5 wins, the Jets, Carolina, and KC wins showed me that the Bills are capable of scrapping for wins, but little else about the talent on the team. As long as we are in a re-building situation, I would rather see the team "let it all hang out" and not worry about the win. So if we lose 41-38, I think I would feel better about that loss than a 13-10 win where we played so conservatively that we limited the abilities/opportunities of our best players.
  15. If you look at the 5 Bills wins this year the stats paint an awful picture. I know they are doing what they have to to win, but these stats don't tell you ANYTHING about the team that we have. Giving up over 150 rushing yards/game passing for less than 100 yards/game This is not a formula for success...even these 5 wins seem to be a farce. I would prefer to have lost most of these games, but shown a great proficiency in certain areas...Remember when Kelly came on board? We lost a lot of games, but man we found out what a qb we had.
  16. Assuming all these high profile head coaches pass and assuminng Fewell does a decent job with what he as for the last 7 games... If we get a high quality GM in who can say, "OK Perry, we'll get you the pieces you need" he could be the next Marv Levy. I think it is harder to find a good personnel guy than it is to find a good coach.
  17. I do like Marty, but if his heart is not in it, then this would be a disaster cloaked by his great name
  18. I'm sure it wasn't nearly as much $$ but Malarchy walked away. Not that he did it out of "honor" or anything....I think he saw the writing on the wall with management.
  19. No, they are geniuses for dealing Seymour to the Raiders for what will turn out to be a top 5 pick, and THEN they will get Seymour back!!!!
