  1. Stop with the "+". It's irritating. I read all the threads and don't need some pollyanna symbol to protect my eyes from negativity. This is the last time I will open anything with a "+" or "-"! If anybody else thinks this is childish speak up now.
  2. Agreed. If he hasn't cracked the starting line-up by 2018 then I'll start to think we reached and got busted.
  3. Wish you'd reconsider. I probably wouldn't post my name because I have thin skin. A current or former player who reads the board subjects himself to criticism. But they also played the game at a level no fan can relate to. I doubt there's anything said to or about a player on this board that they haven't heard before. "You sucked" for example has probably been said by a former coach, who really cares? Anyway I hope you decide to stick around. It would be really nice to get your expert opinion about things. I think you should stay, not give your real name, so we can learn from you. If you leave, thanks for being here amongst the best, most frustrated sports fans in the world.
  4. I am not a Trent supporter at all but....On the TD throw to Roscoe he first looked at Evans and another reciever in the end zone before hitting Roscoe coming across the middle. Now if I can remember that off the top of my head w/o reviewing film I have to question your basic premise.
  5. Good for you my friend, love it when Billievers get fired up. Clayton pegged Trent as the #31 best QB in an artile today. So when you mentioned Clayton I made an assumption. No need to school me in Bills history either, been following my team daily for over 30 years. I think we will get bashed by the media no matter what we do, even win the Superbowl. Nobody cares about the Bills except us fans. Don't get worked up when we get no respect, not worth it. Keep Billieving and someday we'll have the last laugh. OUT!
  6. OK Clayton is a douchbag. He looks like an alien pedophile. Trent Edwards ranking of #31 preseason is fine with me. He's shown nothing during his career and deserves to be right where he is. Who on that list is he better than? Good thing is I think Chan is working some magic with Trent and will coach him up alot more than anyone else has in his life. I think if Trent stays healthy he ends the year midpack, not the bottom. But for now that's where he deserves to be. Take off the homie glasses and put down the koolaid, you can't fault people for dogging Trent Edwards. Now it's up to him to prove people wrong, and I hope he does!
  7. 1 Evans 2 Parrish 3 Nelson 4 Johnson 5 Jackson 6 Hardy 7 Roosevelt 8 Jones I would cut Hardy, Jones. Keep the local kid Roosevelt and give hime time to develop. Hardy has had his chance and showed nothing but the ability to stay injured, run bad routes, drop passes. I thought TO taught him something? Oh Yeah he did get a huge earring like TO's!
  8. I am in Virginia and need a ticket to the Ravens game. If you have an extra send me a message with section, row and price. I will respond to all inquiries. Thanks, Bills fan in VA
  9. You gotta love his outdoor show "North to Alaska". He's an awesome guy, once he took off the uni. I hated and still hate Deon Sanders. A complete retard off the field and hit like my sister. Cocky, self absorbed POS.
  10. If you re saying Lynch is our best short yardage back, your mistaken. The stats don't support that. Jackson was as good or better in short yardage situations last year and neither ere very good. Brian on Rumblings provided some surprizing stats lat season on this topic. I would take Spiller over both of them in a 3rd and 2 play. He is faster, more elusive and has a better chance of picking up 2 yards, especially on the goal line where he already showed he can take a inside handoff and beat all defnders to the pylon. If you think because Lynch is bigger he's better that logic is faulty. Beastmode has shown tobe leastmode in short yardage during his career.
  11. I played but neither of those positions. Coaching I look for quickness and shiftiness and sure hands for PR. KR i like pure speed and ability to break tackles. PR needs to elude, KR needs to see seems and be able to get there before the seem closes. PR needs to get 10-15 yards. KR needs to be able to go the distance every time he touches it. I am no pro and only coach pop warner but that my 2 cents.
  12. The special teams will improve once the starters are playing. The defense is changing schemes and will take some time to gel, we all knew that going in. It's no surprize they are terrible right now, scary how they still cannot stop the run game. We also aren't showing our hand, blitzing and adjusting until the games count, so we may improve there too. It's way too early to predict anything. The preseason has provided some promise that our offense is better than last year. We have to wait and see though. The thing that worries me the most is lack of talent and depth at OT.
  13. I agree 100%. My threads have been titled: "Lack of OT's Kills Bills Again" and "Worst Tackle Tandem in the NFL" . I have been saying since summer that Nix screwed this team for the year before it started by not addressing the biggest weakness on the offense. I get responses like "you cant fix everything" which is BS when there's no cap and we have a low payroll and don't have to pay Schoebels 8mil. No excuse for not shoring up our Oline this year. If CORNHOLE is the best we could do we deserve an "epic disaster" end to a promising season.
  14. We have a very tough schedule. We have a poor track record, new coach, new schemes etc so I can see why everybody in the media is down on us. 5 wins seems too low though. I hate to say but 7-9 is about right. That's fine with me because I am poised to buy my playoff tickets in 2011 when we go 11-5 in the reg season and go to the AFC title game. Superbowl and a win in 2012 or more accurately Feb of 2013! Been my prediction since the summer and am sticking to it.
  15. yes, and another thing i noticed, more positive observations, less negativity. You cant tell fans to put a + or - to distinguish their posts. These boards go with the flow of your team. When they are paying well there's more positive things to talk about and observe. when we suck the place up, for the better part of 10 years, negativity runs rampant because there's little the team is doing right. Since the Indy and Cincy games the amount of negativity has diminished, at least that's what I'm seeing and reading. The worst part of our offense is at TE and RT. The offense is exciting when they're scoring points, makes sense. Can't be exciting when you never score a TD or constantly settle for FG's. Spiller is exciting, so is Roscoe and Evans. It's also exciting when our D scores points. We are on the right track. Now lets figure how to stop the run/pass and win some games. Go Bills!
  16. I watched Moats at JMU a few times. He was a man against boys in college. He is an incredible athelete who needs a year to shine. He never played LB in his life, just a DE who rushed the passer. He would be better suited for a DE in a 4-3 IMO. But he's a fish out of water this year. I expected that he looked bad at LB but would contribute on special teams his first year. Unfortunately nobody looks good covering kicks so far. He needs a little time, next year he should contribute on defense once he learns the position.
  17. Guys listen up! Around the NFL the Bills are known to have one of the worst QB situations. You couldn't give one away. If they aren't good enough to make this roster, what makes you think anybody else would want them? How often is our practice squad plundered? We have the worst talent pool in the league. I think our practice squad players are safe.
  18. my nickname for him is CORNHOLE! Because he bends over and at the snap gets _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ by defenders.
  19. good observation and way to pick out somethng positive. who had the best block of the game? who had the worst? eric wood+ cornhole green- imo
  20. Serious? Because a person has a different perspective than you they didn't watch the game rendering them ignorant to your observation. I watched Maybing personally at Penn State, in person in Buffalo, on tv this preseason and in person in Wash this preseason. So from a person who has watched him for seveal yeas, in person, I'll tell you this. Maybin looks terrible against first team NFL players, both in practice and against opponents. He only had 1 move in college and no counters, but was quick. This boded well for him in college, against inferior teams resulting in inflated stats. I hated the Maybin pick and stand by it, he only looks good against 2nd-4th teamers. But I do see a little improvement. He is working on a counter move for the 1st time, put on a little size and has a good motor. He also didn't celebrate and showboat after his sack saturday. He may stil develop into the pass rusher he was supposed to be, and if he quits the premadonna act I'll give him some more time. I have used the BUST word to describe hm in the past, now I'm not so sure.
  21. Eric Wood and Chan Gailey are the hope we've been looking for for years. The way Eric brings the "Wood" to defenders reminds me of the old school days watching the Hogs F people up. Chan is a master of offense and old school coaching. He has basically the same players and is making the offense look good compared to last year. Now we need some Woods on defense, they look like a bunch of pansy's, still cannot slow down the run. I say we go back to the 4-3 with Troup and Williams inside, we are getting gouged for huge chuncks of yards.
  22. Ive been patient as a fan for over thirty years, extremely patient the past 11. Too young? Yeah right. I sat through the early 80's next to people with bags over their heads. I'm tired of being patient. You think our Oline is talented, keep drinking the kool aid buddy. We have very young guys with potential, misfit outcasts and practice squad plunders...If you call that talent we're speaking different languages!
  23. I agree, I like the fact that there's hitting, compettition, attention to detail and "the nose to the grindstone" mentality. Now if we can mix in more talent we'll have the ingredients to the playoff formula. Coaching + talent= playoffs. We have 1 and the beginnings of another. Look out in 1-2 more years. GO BILLS!
  24. You say that Trent lost his confidence over a few good hits...BS. Do you think a young Jim Kelly would lose confidence after a concussion? No way in hell. He would want to tear somebody's head off. Trent is a kitty, he never had "it" so how do you lose "it". This is Football, your gonna get rocked, especially a QB with a terrible line, but that's why they make tons of money. Quit making excuses for Trent, he's had more than his fair share of chances. Stop blaming the coaches and every other excuse you can come up with. He finally showed off his 1 testicle when he got hit in the Indy game, lost 1/2 of tooth and came back and threw a bomb to Evans. Now if his other nut will decend he may gain the "it" factor he's been missing. I am amazed at how I just used the P _ _ _ y word to describe Trent and it turned into Kitty! Is somebody in my computer editing my vulgarity? I'm a little paranoid. Will my mouth suddenly taste soapy? I had no idea this site was policed, live and learn.
  25. Wake up our Oline is not what will lead us into relevance unless we get an infusion of talent and depth.
