  1. I used to go to the Bills Backers group here in St. Louis. But the team is playing so pathetic, even when they win it is ugly. The offense makes me sick.

As long as Jauron is in charge, it will be difficult for me to do anything except read about them and follow the highlights. It's embarrassing.

as a season ticket holder I have decided not to let the game ruin the game day experience.

  2. I'd say most of those are common sense.

I would disagree with not using the same glass for a drink. Some drinkers like to keep the same glass. That one seems to be a matter of preference, although those folks tend to specify that they wish to use the same glass.

Guilty...figure I'm better off minimizing chances for something bad, just stick with the devil I started with.

  3. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/art...291/1/index.htm

Would be surprised if any of us have ever heard of him. Never has made more then the league minium. Was cut a few times but keeps showing up somewhere. Wish he was a Bill but will route for him to preform well in a losing effort (for those of you that don't click on the link Favre is the oldes field player, this guy is the anti Favre.)

  4. Has anyone else been even more impressed with his tackling? Yea he has been in the right spot at the right time and made good plays on the ball, but his hitting in the open field is what I really like.

All true, but what really impressed me was listening to him being interviewed. Sounded very intelligent.

  5. Let it go. Face it, that kick is a microcosim of what it means to be a Buffalo fan (Bills or Sabres). Before winning two super bowls Elway was known for losing three (okay, maybe that's an exageration). Until the Bills can get the monkey of their (our) back and win a super bowl (or at least make it to the playoffs) we'll be know for losing four; wide right the defining moment. It is just how the country views us.

    Let it go.

  6. Just finished saying this in another thread but yes, for his own health its time for him to retire. He's still affected from last years concussion imo, though I'm not a doctor. Now this.

On a side note hope the bills send the film of the late hit on him to the league office

  7. I'm in the unfortunate position of having to cheer for Brady since he is on my fantasy team. Needless to say I'm liking him today. If he were to go down today my team would be in trouble.

things like this are why I've never played fantasy

  8. Number 4 below offers advice about the original question but this is all useful so posting the entire thing.

Read this and make a copy for your files in case you need to refer to it someday. Maybe we should all take some of his advice! A corporate Attorney sent the following out to the employees in his company.

    1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put 'PHOTO ID REQUIRED.'

2.. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card Accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the 'For' line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.

3.. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home Phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks. (DUH!) You can add it if it is necessary. But if you have It printed, anyone can get it.

4.. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to Call and cancel. Keep the photocopy in a safe place. I also carry a Photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We've all heard horror stories about fraud that's committed on us in stealing a Name, address, Social Security number, credit cards.

Unfortunately, I, an attorney, have firsthand knowledge because my Wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieve(S) ordered an Expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had A credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number From DMV to change my driving record information online, and more. But here's some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know:

5.. We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card Numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.

6.. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc., were stolen. This proves to credit Providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an Investigation (if there ever is one).

But here's what is perhaps most important of all: (I never even thought to do this.)

7.. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations Immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over The Internet in my name. The alert means any company that checks your Credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by Phone to authorize new credit.

By the time I was advised to do this, almost two weeks after the theft, all the damage had been done. There are records of all the Credit checks initiated by the thieves' purchases, none of which I knew about before placing the alert. Since then, no additional damage has been done, and the thieves threw my wallet away this weekend (someone turned it in). It seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks.

Now, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, etc., has been stolen:

    1.) Equifax: 800-525-6285

    2.) Experian (formerly TRW): 888-397-3742

    3.) Trans Union : 800-6807289

4.) Social Security Administration (fraud line):800-269-0271

  9. Isn't Darryl Talley the richest Bill? Didn't he purchase a bunch of McDonalds in the DC area? I thought that I heard that on GR before.

Know that he he was working for McDonald's during the off season to prepare for life after football. He actually worked the counter for a while....one time a customer said "hey, aren't you Darrel Talley of the Buffalo Bills?" He replied "no sir, today I'm Darrel Talley of McDonald's" anyways always thought that was cool. Hope him and/or Jimbo get the team...sooner would be better then later.

  10. then you do not know your history. Fins beat the Bills for 20 straight games, an entire decade. When Jimbo and co. whooped them in the 90's it was the greatest thing ever! At the same time, I think the Bills in the central would have been interesting given the geographic proximity to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

The 20 straight wins and the kelly/marino connection were indeed the main reasons for the rivalry. Unfortunately players retire and those connections end. The longest lasting rivalries are based on geography. Ohio state Michigan, Mich/Mich state, UNC/Duke in basketball = just makes sense that these rivalries will last forever. Unfortunately realignment took place at a time when the Miami Buffalo rivalry was at the end of a very long life...lasted a few years but as the original poster points out its all but dead now. Playing Pittsburgh, Cleveland, an Cincinati twice a year, having large contingent of visiting fans at the home venue, would have made much more sense geographically. Unfortunately Ralph did not have this vision, I believe the quote was we sell out the Miami game every year.

  11. we've gotten it in 330 both home games. some assbag a few rows behind us kept yelling sit down, even when they were on d. ridiculous.

we've been thinking about leaving the mcguire section because the neighbors don't like it when we make a lot of noise, always have a great time in the 300 sections. now your're telling me people are complaining about standing in the 300 section! this just stinks

  12. while youre at it, look at 1st ROUND QB picks. and feel free to answer my original question about how any of the 3rd round+ QB picks from this year's draft are doing.

again, not sure what you are arguing here? that later round draft picks are EXPECTED to be as good as first round draft picks?

i wont argue that they CAN be as good. but they arent EXPECTED to be. that's why the top prospects are picked first, and the lesser ones picked later.

just going over it in my mind there are 17 first rounder starting qb's and 15 second or later (Brees was first pick of second round I think so you can almost say 18 first 14 later). Didn't check on line so could be off by one
