    I agree Codrington is the best option. Davis has no ability to break a return for a TD. Thats an especially important factor with the new kickoff rules.

    Dolphins have a range from 4-13 to 9-8 IMO. I can’t see them making the playoffs. I think the BILLS will be the only team from the AFC East to make the playoffs.

    Asante Samuel Jr., Steph Gilmore, Kendall Fuller, Rasul Douglas, and Mike Hilton are the best FA CB’s available (from Google). Not a spectacular list to choose from.

    I don’t think it’s blunders. It’s more bringing in culture guys that know the system and can teach the young guys. I think it’s a good signing.

    So dumb to sign a veteran that knows the system and is a culture guy on vet minimum deal? If he’s washed up they can release him without cap repercussions. Not sure why this is dumb as you say.

    Star already ripped us off. He never seemed like a McBeane type of culture guy. They were desperate signing him. Phillips will be vet minimum which is way different.

    I’m not sure Shavers can separate from starting NFL cornerbacks. I like him but he looks stiff until he’s in the open field.

    Before Allen was paid they were up against the cap. I’m in agreement they should spend and Pegula is awesome for opening his wallet. I’m just saying Beane complained about the cap situation and then spent like a madman. The Star contract comes to mind. That being said… I think Beane is a great GM and I’ve always been a fan of his.

    I still remember Beane talking about how the team was in salary cap ‘hell’ when he took over. And yet every year we are up against the cap and over. I love Beane but I think he has an arrogance and defensiveness about him that is unflattering.

    IIRC it was almost certain Phillips was going to sign somewhere else for more money. And I completely understand him going that route.
