  1. And get the steak sandwich, went there Sunday night as well, it is the only thing open near your Hotel.
  2. Well I think we all know it's not a misconception but the truth, it literally is spelled out in black & white on how our franchise and some of the other sad sack franchises operate.
  3. I see, yeah, I don't think he got the memo, good god.
  4. Actually, the legal age of consent in Germany is 14... per wikipedia.
  5. Faster than you

  6. I stand corrected, yes this year it began earlier than most years, I was trying to give them props. 2008 it started shortly after the bye week. (week 6).
  7. There are a lot of different ways to build a successful team, you are correct. The problem is, we fired our architect who knows how to do it over and over a decade ago, and since then we haven’t done squat. You wanted to dissect him in this thread. So what is dense, this post or the people responding that its only because of Manning, and Polian only has one ring…. Your comment “Yet they win. Why? A constant, coherent system, good leadership in the locker room, and an incredible QB” makes no sense. Are you stating that a constant coherent system of good leadership isn’t the result of Polian drafting the right people? I am confused with the point you are trying to make here. I would rather have a chance every year at the playoff’s as opposed to starting to discuss next year’s draft by week 6 and how we are going to F it up by picking a Maybin, or Williams or Whitner…. period, so give me Polian and an undersized, oft-injured defense, a weak offensive line, and a slew of early-round draft misses everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.
  8. Problem #1, our D-line isn't even on the same continent as the Giant D-line. If you can get pressure on Cutler, he will blow it agreed, but we don't have the ability to create the pressure. If you give him some time he isn't that bad. That being said, this is one of the few winnable games left so let’s hope they somehow pull one out of the hat!
  9. I read an article within the last month or two on ESPN that broke down specifically the AFC East drafts for the past ~4 or 5 years and it was horrible. Not just us, but everybody's, they went through who was drafted/round/ if still on the roster and I was shocked. I wish I could find it. When it was time to draft Manning or Leaf, the general consensus at the time was split. There were a ton of people enamored with Leaf and his gun slinging ways, confidence etc… and the knock on Manning was he could never beat Florida, it wasn’t 80/20 in favor of Manning, it was pretty darn close to 50-50.
  10. It wasn't a crap shoot when Polian choose Manning over Leaf nor was it when he choose Edge over Ricky (leave my helmut on during interviews) Williams. Those two picks alone were huge critical picks for that franchise. p.s. You need to change your icon to Cain Velasquez
  11. I think the point is, as an "organization", after Polian left, then Butler and Smith we have not done a great job at evaluating talent. I think Butler and Smith rode on the coattails of Polian a bit, but blame whomever you want, I am not going to argue semantics here, that is why we have been mired in such a decade long slump.
  12. And at least we didn't trade back into the first round to get him as well! Yes good point, especially if it is really hot and humid, then maybe a stomping is more effective.
  13. Exactly, this front office sucks bigtime. Bill Polian please come back, we'll let you kick RW in the nutz as much as you want...anything...
  14. Maybe the injury postponed the move. That would be great if he developed into our next Kent Hull. With a mobile QB like Fitz it helps mask the lines short coming's. Agreed the tackles need to be upgraded for sure. On Defense we really blew it when we took Witner or Ngata and Maybin over Orakpo, that set us back a ton.
  15. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/10/12/1745685/bills-vs-jaguars-notes-from-the-o-line-week-5 Interesting read as it relates to the Bill's line specifically. The original post was to emphasize why it is so difficult to find good lineman these days. Putting stat's and rankings aside, you can't really believe that our current O-line is above adequate. It is a weak link as well as the Defensive line. We need more talent in both sides of the trenches, you can agree with that, right?
  16. I think your under estimating the value of an all pro center, Kent Hull made that K-Gun go with the right reads and line calls. Block head Kelly executed the pass or hand off but it worked because the line had the right blocking scheme called by Hull. I agree with the other poster earlier in the thread, Bill Polian knows this and so do the Steelers.
  17. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/14129204/spread-the-blame-when-examining-bad-oline-play No surprise here, we rank last in oline play, I found Tony Boselli's assessments interesting on why it is hard to find good lineman these days. Also, I agree that the center needs to be so savy, boy do I miss Kent Hull, he was great at putting the oline in the best position to succeed.
  18. Agreed, you can't even make this stuff up, cursed.
