I would have put Bates in before Ford for any game this year. I hope he starts/stays on the line for the rest of the season. Keep Feliciano on the bench as the backup Center.

Best OLine performance of the year. Allen had all day most of the time.
Agreed. I always liked Bates as he always seemed to do a good job when called upon.

Mac Jones completed less than 50% of his passes for a putrid 145 yards and held Harris to 103 yards.
The defense had constant pressure on Jones and picked him twice.
They limited ne time of possession to 25 min.

Rocks-for-Hands Knox hasn't entirely gotten over the dropsies that plagued his rookie year. He probably never will. And that doesn't help Allen either.
To be fair, Knox is playing with a recently broken hand in freezing temperatures. Not ideal for catching a football from Allen trying to compensate for the wind with higher velocity on the ball. Before the break, Knox was playing well above his previous years.

I don't like admitting this, but... I think what I haaaate the most about the Pats* isn't their evil-genius HC, their corrupt organization, their annoying past dominance in the AFCE, or their long, and storied history of cheating. It's their fanbase.
I know lots of them. I have numerous family members (from my wife's side), and co-workers who are Pats* fans. I have friends who are Pats* fans. They're all good people. But, when it comes to the team, and especially on game day, or in football discussions, they turn into the worst douchebags you'll ever meet. The smarmy chest-thumping, and endless gloating, and the reality-twisting narratives of "they hate us for our success," and "ALL teams cheat..." and "GOAT this, and GOAT that..." It's sickening. Every sentence from the MFs ends with some LOL emoji.
And let's stop calling them the New England Patriots*. People in Vermont hate them as much as the rest of the country, and Maine follows hockey. Hell, there's even a big chunk of Western Mass that hates the Patriots* They're the Boston Patriots*. F*** them.
It's all of the above.

I am not too worried about the Bills' passing offense, and if Buffalo gets Feliciano and especially Brown back on the offensive line, I'm not too worried about the running game. My biggest concern is about whether or not Dane Jackson can hold up as a starter at CB.
The defensive coordinator in me thinks, Hyde will be supporting on Jackson's side more often than not.

The Bills are just as much a SB contender as any other team in the AFC.
Except for jags, jets, dolphins, or raiders.

Its definitely poor depth but coaches aren't adapting to the players we have. When ford is in there we need to run more and go with more 22 personnel, like we did last week.
Defense should go more 43 against physical teams or 52 if you dont have the LBs, lord knows we have enough Dlineman.
Agree when we play run heavy teams. We should get out of nickle D. Taylor was running with purpose and putting Dodson in couldn't hurt.
All those "fresh legs" on the DL sure didn't help today.

The line is atrocious. That we can agree on. Still, Singletary has one 100 yard game and 5 TDs in his 3 year career. Moss has zero. How many years are you going to evaluate?
All running behind, essentially, the same group of OL personnel with variations in their combinations.

I don't have a link but Joe Marino's podcast talked about PFF grades for the OL this week and the highest rated lineman for Buffalo?...
Yaaas, supposedly it was Cody Ford.
Remind me never to take their grading seriously again.
Where's Conrad Dobler when you need him?

I agree with everything, except the RBs. I think if they didn't get hit until 3 yards, it wouldn't matter, our RBs don't scare anyone.
Bills need a RB with speed, who can run a wheel route, and that opposing defenses need to game plan on. When a play breaks down(lots lately)- having a RB who can make a play would help out Josh and Bills offense incredibly imo
Can't really know how good the RBs are until the OL starts opening some holes. As good as Allen is with his legs, he had no where to go because the OL played like a sieve.

While I like Davis, if we move Sanders to the slot, I would prefer to have more speed on the outside...I like Davis as the #4, where we don’t have to rely on him to produce every week, and where is contributions can still be a nice little addition to the offense from time to time...
I like Davis, a lot! He has been making some phenomenal catches on the sidelines and endzone. With more snaps and targets I see him as a valuable #2 receiver on the outside. For speed, we have McKenzie and there will be plenty of wr in the 2022 draft and in FA.

That game, when it came down to the end and the Jets were about to kick the game-winning FG, my dad made us get up and start walking up the stairs from the lower bowl so we could get out of there fast. I made him stop at the top of the steps so we could watch the kick, and...boom. Smerlas saved the day.
Good times.
I wasn;t there but watched it on the TV. The Monday Rochester headlines read: "Smerlas Blocks Out The Past!" Great game, great season.

"There was no way Washington was winning that game."
Comment I either heard or read prior to the game, 'For a supposed Super Bowl contender, there is no way the Bills lose to Washington at home.'

This is truly your take? Our mostly first string D vs their 100% 2nd string O? You may want to rethink your posting strategy.
Pretty much, I don;t really care how many yards the defense gives up, if the other teams do not score, we win.

Ed Oliver (5th year option) - I need to see him deliver on sacks. I'm tired of the pressure ratings and everything else. If Star and Phillips are both healthy and doing theirs jobs, AND the edge rushers demand attention, Oliver needs to be a difference maker. I want to see at least 6 sacks and many more pressures. I want to hear about him commanding double teams. For a #9 overall pick and the money he would get in that 5th year, I need to see more. I personally don't think it will happen and his 5th year won't get picked up
Cody Ford - Ford has to take firm ownership of the LG position and stay healthy this year if he wants to get paid. With how they've drafted and how they played without him, I think he has an uphill battle, but I do believe he can be re-signed fairly cheap, so I could see him staying on with us
Devin Singletary - I think Singletary puts up about 500 yards, but in splitting carries with Moss and Breida, I don't think he'll be able to take command of the group. Singletary will play out his 4 years and most likely be gone, or stay on a cheap deal.Dawson Knox - Besides Oliver, Knox is the second most watched player for me this offseason. All he has to do is show reliable hands on the easy catches and I think he'll earn an extension. In this offense however, I don't see him commanding enough balls to get the stats that would get him highly paid, nor have other teams fight us for him. I believe his strong relationship with Josh will help him (unlike it did Smoke), and he does enough to get a new deal.
Thoughts?
Oliver - better run defense
Ford - stay healthy, stay nasty
Singletary - find 3rd gear
Knox - look the ball in

Low temperatures = low humidity = less resistance on the ball while in the air. 10mph winds for the Bass-o-matic is not that much.
