If that is the case, “the best option of a subpar bunch” then it will be Klein. The coaches trust him and his experience.

    McDermott trusts him.

Spector ain't it. He looked lost last year in PS.  I hope I'm wrong.

Dotson is solid, has potential for a stop gap at the least but is capable of starting.

Klein is capable of starting, smart, and able to mesh with the defense.

    Bernard ia a wildcard

The rookie dude starting this year terrified me.

Spector was anything but lost in preseason last year and so far the reports from training camp on Spector is, he looks good.  Plays instinctively and flies to the ball.

This thread makes my head hurt. Sounds like someone watched ‘Money Ball’ a few too many times. (I love that movie!)

Is there supposed to be a conclusion drawn?

In order to win in the playoffs (and SB),  if the Defense sucks, the Offense must to bail them out.  If the Offense sucks, the Defense must bail them out.

His offense really doesn't seem to have an identity past "let Josh run around in the backfield like a maniac and wait for him to do something amazing

I guess you can blame the offensive line for some of the issues

You can blame a lot of offensive "issues" on the OL.

The Bills led the league in rushing yards per game last season and it wasn't all Allen.

    O'Cyrus Torrence Weaknesses

He lacks flexibility and doesn't move the quickest. This limits his ability to stay in front of pass rushers. He also can be late getting to the second level as a run blocker and also could be unsuccessful pulling at the next level. Torrence is best used in a phone booth.

Seems like more of a pass blocker, which is fine

    Coach him up Kromer!

Who would you like to see the Bills target in Round 2 & 3?

    OT

    Cody Mauch

    1)   C/G

    Steve Avila

    DT

Adetomiwa Adebawore, Gervon Dexter, Keeanu Benton, Zacch Pickens, Jacquelin Roy

    2)  LB/EDGE

    Drew Sanders

    CB

    Joey Porter Jr

    S

    Brian Branch

These would be the guys with Avila and Sanders the top two.

My guess is there is a good chance nobody even signs him and he tries out for a spring league next season.

If he does get an NFL camp look..........I bet he just gets hurt pretty quickly and that's it.

You don't just walk away from playing pro football for a couple years and come back in your 30's because you worked out a lot.

I hope for his sake he is the exception.........always felt bad for him getting bullied and physically abused by his girlfriend.  Dude is a true gentle giant.

A buddy of mines cousin was drafted in the 5th rd a few years back by the Rams.  6'5" 300lb OG forgot his college.

He did not make through training camp because he was too nice of a guy and did not have that mean streak to compete at the nfl level.

This is the best part of this time of year.  Johnny Couch educating people about what value prospects are.

what makes you think Spencer brown IS going to be good?  Please elaborate with something tangible.

See here’s the thing…. We can’t afford to have him play like he did last season. Going into the year with him and quess as our only RT tackle options is extremely risky.  If he doesn’t improve, our SB chances are likely out the window.  Too big a risk

Maybe, if Brown doesn't have back surgery just before training camp, he will play better.

  9. Two, IFs.  If Singletary is willing to sign for a cap friendly deal, and IF he is willing and able to play Special Teams, he can take Taiwan Jones roster spot (whom the Bills have not resigned yet.)  Then Beane can draft a bruiser in the later rounds.

All good comments and valid points on resigning, not resigning Singletary.  Personally, I like him and think he is a very capable back.  Runs hard, good hands, blocks well, doesn't fumble much (13, lost 5, out of 817 touches) and a smart player.  He has been a great team player.

Haven't heard anything on these players. Could this be the year we say goodbye to Taiwan Jones?

    1. Shaq Lawson - played his but off.  Best of the free agent bunch.

    2. Marlowe - liked him before he left and we traded draft capital for him.

    3. Jordan Phillips - played hurt, injured,  but when he was healthy, made a difference.

    4. Singletary - runs hard, good back up insurance on the cheap if we cannot find a heavier/bruiser back.

I would sign these guys for the  above reasons.
