1988 Bills.
Agree. The 88 season was one of the more enjoyable seasons for the Bills. Low expectations, yet they pulled off gritty wins for a 12-4 record and just one end zone fist fight away from the super bowl. Favorite quote in the D&C, "Smerlis Blocks Out The Past." for his field goal block in the Jets game to clinch a playoff berth.

I'll believe it when I see it. LA fans are terrible (Christ, SC v. Stanford looked 40 percent empty). This will become more and more obvious over time. Also, the Chargers' presence in LA is the biggest joke in pro sports in a long time. I also think that pro football has more reputational problems in California than anywhere else in the country (CA culture and head injuries is a volatile mix). And let's not forget the flight of the Raiders. Just a bad NFL culture all around.
There was a reason the Rams moved to St Louis and the Raiders went back to Oakland; poor attendance and little support from the "fans." The NFL as an organization (i.e. short sighted, money hungry owners with deep pockets and big egos and mr placate goodell) think that people will continue watching regardless of whatever they do (similar to Kodak managements attitude towards photos vs pixels) are in for a rude awakening if they do not adjust their attitudes towards the real fans of these teams.

Before I found out there was a Buffalo Bills football team, as a kid, the first NFL game I ever watched was the Ice Bowl with Green Bay beating the Dallas Cowboys. Today the only teams I follow/love are the Bills.. If the Bills were moved, I would follow the Packers.

Jets suck. Doesn't count.
Be that as it may, dareous had no stats for the game against the same team.
Bottom line; good performances, regardless of opponent, count as much as bad performances against bad opponents.

Correcting one more of Rex's mistakes.

The Greg Williams Era
-
As long as it is the Packers and they are not playing the Bills.
-
why would glenn agree to that?
Because his coach told him to. Last known, this was a still a team.
-
Why did I not know it was missing?
-
Agreed. TB cannot hold a candle to JM.

Gilmore was gone the minute he looked back at the safety while Chris Hogan burned past him.
Yep!

I agree. I'd like to have them both back, but if you gave me a choice I'd pick Zach Brown to overpay and bring back. It sucks, but you can't keep everyone.
Also agree. Keep Z. Brown for MLB, move the other Brown to OSL where he originally started and if they can sign Lorax for a reasonable amount go for it. Then we are set at LB, especially with Ragland pushing for a starting job.

22 roster spots to fill due to free agency. We have less cap room than over 2/3 of the league. Paying a pretty good CB like he's a top 5 cb would be a mistake imo. The 13-15 mill we'd have spent on him can be used to add 2 very good players. Major holes at Safety, WR, RT, LB and overall depth make it nearly impossible to pony up that kid of money for one player that wasn't one of the best in the league. Don't get me wrong, I do like Gilmore and I do think he's a good cb. Just don't think he's worth the price tag considering our current cap/roster situation. Too many holes too fill and not enough resources to fill them with.
You know what your talking about and I agree whole hardily. Sometimes front office football is more common sense than dollars and cents, this time they line up.

At least Kyle admitted he choked the game away for them. Yeah, in comfortable FG range (would have been a 37-yarder), let's pass the ball! Moron.
This is where they lost the game.
Bellicheat has some sort of ray that he bombards the opposing coaches with to cause them to do the most stupidest things at the worst possible times.
Case in point, Seattle is 1 yard away from winning the SB, Carroll decides to pass the ball instead of running marshawn lynch for the touchdown. Moron.

Remember, no matter how bad things seem they are, there is a pretty good chance things could get worse!
"Well That makes me feel better."

What flavor popcorn should I make for this thread
Atomic Barbecue sauce, so the heartburn you have later, will cover up the heartache you will get if we do trade for Romo.

Hunter, I like him but only for the right price.
Dozable eh he made a few plays but nothing about him stood out.
Bryant seems like he is always hurt, same with Gragg
Goodwin does not seem to understand the wr position and rarely fights for the ball
Mills, eh, drafting a tackle should be enough of a replacement
Meeks should have been let go this year instead of Rambo
Spikes, past his prime
Gilmore, not unless he lowers his ego and money expectations
Manuel, I liked him, but sorry no, let him go sit on someone else's bench.
Bush, don't care how good he used to be, what a waste of a roster spot
Felton, expensive blocker
The rest are who cares or not seen enough to tell one way or the other

Hard working coach who will get his players respect and give it back to them.
Same can be said of Rex.
-
Using very high draft picks for guys like this, then later giving big money to him, is a recipe for disaster. Zero character, total loser. When Brett Farve lost his father, he dedicated his season to him. When Marcel's half brother died, the big M took his entire 2nd season off. Multiple suspensions, often out of shape, loser squared. His performance today was typical of the absolute loser he is. Needing him to come up big, he takes the day off. He was manhandled today, often in one on one situations. It's so hard to root for this team, and it's made much harder when their "star" players are so lacking in character.
Show Dareus the door and give his paycheck to Kyle Williams.
-
Rex and had 2 offseasons to fix the safety position
Whaley has had 3. Jusf another position that he ignored and it's killing us
I do not blame Whaley other than taking a gamble that Aaron Williams would be healthy for the season. I do blame Ryan for letting Rambo go and keeping Meeks.

Nothing that the team has showed me in the past 3 weeks tell me they can beat Pitt.
Agreed, as long as Rothesburger is playing.
-
We got a lot of them. We might have a lot of work to do, just to fill vacancies. At first glance, this was the conclusion(s) I reached.
Where would you make changes?
I would keep Schmidt, Woods, Gillislee, Tate, Hunter, Brown, and Alexander. On the fence about Bryant, Groy, and Anderson.
-
That's a fair point and I believe that mentality comes right from the coaches. That two minute offense at the end of the half is all the evidence you need of that. And Ryan's attempts to explain his strategy was an embarrassment.
Yeah, I did not understand the decision to give away an opportunity to score points. NE*** would have and they did against us with further to go and less time on the clock.
Lorax is right, this team needs to mentally toughen up; from the coaches, the players and all the way down to the ball boys.
How would you rate the 2017 Draft so far?

the Top 4 picks are all starting, so there is that.
