The information on personnel groupings was helpful as to his role within the offense. Maybe like an offensive lineman, not hearing about him is a good thing and makes him valuable. Hopefully he can kick on Special Teams if Bass can't get his game right.

I get the general gist of the FB position. However, I only played HS football on the defensive side and don't understand much about offensive line play, formations or schemes. I just wonder what he does so well that warrants a roster spot. I understand some teams like to "ground and pound" and a guy that is an excellent blocker, opens running lanes, and a guy that catches a few passes and handles short yardage carries as a power back makes sense for some teams. Gilliam does not seem to do that or the Bills offense. For those who understand Brady's style as an OC and the type of offense we run, does Gilliam become more valuable or remain an anonymous and somewhat puzzling roster spot?

If the team wants a proven #1 WR, then there are only a handful of those guys to trade for (Jefferson, Hill, Lamb, and maybe 1-2 other guys). Bills do not have the salary cap for that or the draft capital to get a player like that.

I think Terrell Bernard has the highest probability of being him, since he shares the same name of Terrell Bernard from last year, looks a lot like him, and his genetic code increases the chances of him being Bernard this year.

Great old school clip! As much as I miss some of the hard-nosed plays and what it meant to play defense back then, I think what I miss most was the continuity that came as a fan seeing the same players year-after year spending 7-10 years together.

When Beane said the team is "in transition" what does that look like for you in 2024-2025. For me, it means four (4 things). 1. Bills will be 10-7 and get a Wildcard 2. Bills will offload Miller and Knox and will have more cap space heading into 25-26 season 3. Bills will focus on finding a new punter and kicker. A #1 DE and #1 WR will be key components to move forward with their 1st and two 2nds. 4. All eyes will be on OC Brady to see if he can have both a solid passing and running game that is consistent and not too predictable.

These are all true statements. With that said, other than a handful of people in the world that know where Kutztown University is, keep in mind that that their were less teams, more rounds, and maybe one grainy video or two to dissect Andre Reed's game. Bills had a good GM at that time. Reed was great. He was the 2nd option for Kelly behind Thomas and occasionally Lofton. In summary, Reed in 85-86 versus Coleman in 2024-2025 as far as analysis is a lot like comparing CGI capabilities in movies 🎬 from 85 till today as it relates to player evaluation. Keon Coleman may have a good career but there is a million times more information, analysis, video, and resources to make it more likely that Coleman will be at his peak a #2 whose skillset and production scream a #3.

Samuel 920 yards Kincaid 880 yards Shakir 650 yards Coleman 550 yards Cook 475 yards 800-900 yards from everyone else. Allen 4,300 to 4,400 hundred yards. Hopefully about 5-7 more passing TD's, less rushing TD's as Cook, Davis, and other backs get more, and 5 less INT's.

Kincaid is very promising. Cook made a great leap in year #2. They are good. I hope I will be proven wrong, but they do not yet create nightmares for any DC. They could become that. The only #1 is Allen right now. Outside of Buffalo and sport stat fanatics, Cook and Kincaid do not register on the "scary good or elite" scale. Kelce does. Mahomes does. Jones on their Defense does. Coach Reid does. The reason why Bills want a #1 WR is that the margin of error is so small when you have only one (1) match up nightmare and the best teams have 2+.

A #1 receiver/TE is someone that consistently makes big plays and can have a 100 yards or a TD fairly regularly. They can beat you with production, a big play, or a high pressure situation because they've done it before and everyone knows the QB is looking for them. Their presence forces a defense to account for them often creating easier opportunities for others. Diggs had the numbers of a #1, he had the right QB, but there was very little around him so the offense was usually a one-trick pony. Moulds or Evans could have been but did not have the QB. Reed, Lofton, and Thurman Thomas made a 3 headed monster were all 3 could individually or collectively serve as a #1 in various games and matches with a QB. There are few #1 WR's or TE's in the NFL, probably no more than 10-12 at a time. #1's cause nightmares. Kelce always gets the first down. Hill can get a 50 yard TD anytime and get a 100+ any gain. Guys like Jefferson can make a good QB look like a 1st ballot HOFer. Harrison Jr, Nabers, and Odunze all have the potential to be a #1. Brock Bowers if he gets a QB. Brian Thomas looks like a possible #1 with the right coaching, work ethic, and an environment. Keon Coleman looks like a #1, really is a #3 right now, who with the right environment may become a solid #2 at his peak.

I think your view on Coleman is better-stated than mine. There were 3 receivers who I think fit better and have more potential. I would have preferred (if available) a receiver at #60, however, I think the size speed, and versatility of Bishop was good value. Was the Bishop dislike because of McDermott obsession with DB's or more of concerns about Bishop's ability or character? Thanks!
