  1. good topic. nice post. I can see some of this reasoning prevailing at OBD. Tryhard just doesn't have that feel for timing and precision we need to make this offense tick, but it would be nice to have a receiver has a big catch radius and just comes down with the ball.
  2. The weird thing about Tyrod is that I think he throws better on the run. He's more accurate when he is running and stops, plants and releases or just wings it off the run. When he has to throw from the pocket, his footwork seems off balance and he doesn't have the mechanics to make clean accurate throws. I think it's may be a mental thing where he thinks too much and doesn't trust the play. When he is on the run, it's all instinct and he doesn't have time to process his throw. When he wings it, he can make some beautiful passes, like the long shot to Clay. He may be a bit too short to work out of the pocket. But I don't recommend that we find the lollipop kids to be his o-line.
  3. Not seeing it fast enough is fixable. Not seeing it at all takes a lot more work. Taylor, like EJ doesn't see it at all. If you read everything, I did not pin it all on him. It was a complete lack of execution. However TT doesn't help unless he is a threat to run for 50+ yards a game.
  4. After seeing the All-22 I retract my call for Dennison's head. See the write up. When you see the whole field and the coaches tape, the offense had some well-designed plays, it was a product of Tyrod playing poorly and the offense as a whole missing assignments and not reading the defense.
  5. Yes, as painful as it is to admit, Tyrod has some serious deficiencies. If he is going to be our QB, we have to adjust to his game and make him a weapon. If not, see if Peterman can make these throws. Yards and TD's are there for the taking, but we need to be motivated, in-sync and hungry to win all the time. There is not enough talent to overcome a lackluster day from TT.
  6. As painful as it was, I decided to watch the coaches film to see what happened on Sunday and if it is fixable. As much as I'd like to call for Rico's head, his play calling was not that awful. The execution was. This team was just out of sync since the first play. Do you blame it on the coaches for not having the team ready or is this the end result of two consecutive road games and an emotional let down after taking the Atlanta game. And the Buffalo news about Shady losing a step is bull ****. The O-Line and FB's were constantly missing blocks or not picking up a stunt or blitz properly. DiMarco looked bad. He failed to pick up linebackers on a few carries and wide open holes for Shady collapsed quickly. There were lanes to run, but either someone on the line missed an assignment or for some stupid reason they would double up on a man and leave another running free. Everyone just seemed confused on plays. Tyrod had a bad day. I credit the Bengals line for doing something I hadn't seen done and that is to keep turning TT back to the middle of the field. Usually when pressure comes, Tyrod gets out to the perimeter and is a threat to run or throw. For some reason he kept turning back into the pocket and trying to step up where he would get swallowed by an eventual meltdown by a lineman who couldn't hold the block any longer. The whole O-line looked bad and out of sync. I'd want to call Ducasse out as the single reason for meltdowns but he had help. Even Richie was losing his blocks in the passing game. Tyrod never got into any sort of rhythm with the offense and he does not have the confidence to throw it into tight windows. When people complain that our receivers are not getting separation, I started questioning how bad they were, but the truth was that although not wide wide open, they often had a step or two on the defense. A good quarterback finds that and makes the play. Watching the Cowboys-Packers and even the Bears-Vikings, I saw QB's throwing to receivers who were not any more open than ours and they were making plays. Rodgers always challenges the secondary. He let's his receivers make the play. Ours never even get a chance. Even when they are open and in space, TT was throwing low or behind so they didn't even have a chance for YAC. I think we can turn this around with our present players, although it would be nice to add a WR that can make plays and contested catches. The main thing we need to do is execute the play and draw up some more plays to keep Tyrod moving out of the pocket. TT needs to be a threat to take off at anytime and once he runs for 3-4 plays of 10-15 yards or more, defenses will have to adjust and the run game and lanes will open up. Our players also need more awareness of what the defense is doing. It seems that guys do not make adjustments when a play called is not working. Watching DiMarco run off to make a block on a lineman when a linebacker is flying toward Shady is just stupid. He has to be aware of what is happening. More than a few times I saw Richie standing in the middle of the field not blocking anyone because no one was rushing through him. Meanwhile two guys bull over Wood and collapse the pocket. Richie has to be aware and adjust. This is a team game and if the offense can gel as a team, I think they will find a way to make it into the playoffs. On defense, outside of AJ Green going wild, we seemed okay. The pass rush vs the Bengals was not effective and it let Dalton have a bit too much time to find AJ. I really wish Dareus would get motivated. With a healthy Shaq and Gaines back, our D could be special. I'm anxious to see what the coaches feel after reviewing the tape. They must feel that a lot of this is fixable. I wonder if Beane will sack up and make a trade. I wouldn't mind seeing another RB and WR and even G/T come in. Go Bills.
  7. We threw 37 last week and looked like dung
  8. yeah that hurt them a lot. they have a future with that crew plus Howard, Cohen, Trubisky.
  9. It's 2017, everything is built in a day.
  10. what a novel concept. your QB is getting it done, so you bring in the backup... hint!! hint!!! Tryhard Taylor should be on a short lease.
  11. Playing Peterman is more of an indictment of Rico. Do we trust his system. If Rico's system is so great and Tyrod is not a fit, then we should have success with his QB. If Peterman fails at executing Rico's "system" then its not Tyrod's fault. Rico is just a crappy OC and should get fired. It's Rico or TT to the curb.
  12. I'm with you. Don't think you are wrong on this. Why wait two years for the inevitable like we did with Rex. In my business you can tell within 15 minutes if someone is right for the job, full of crap, or it's just over their heads. Rico's 15 are up.
  13. YES!!! I'm with you. I like TT but he just is not getting it done. He needs to play to his strengths and is not doing it. Watching Rogers whoop up on the Cowgirls made me jealous for what a real QB can do. offense, Tyrod, O-line.
  14. they can be, with a few changes to the offense.
  15. I'm chill and happy we actually have a winning record, and I trust the process but not the execution. I also think we have some serious talent deficiencies at WR, RT, G that can and should be addressed, as well as some troubling coaching decisions. We never gave up 6 sacks before when Miller was at RG. WTF was Duckass (*^*&%^$^#doing on the field. Him next to General Mills the human turnstile is a recipe for disaster and that is what we got, along with no run game, no push, nothing. The O-line was a nightmare yesterday. I say turn over every stone to find WR's that can play at an NFL Level and catch the ball. Zay is struggling and has no place starting right now. Tate looked the best and he's a special teamer. If Clay is going to be gone awhile, we may as well bring in Barnidge. We have cap space. I'd like to see what Reilly can do when the bullets are flying. He seems to have sure hands and make catches in traffic, which is what we need if we are going to pay this controlled passing game and not take a lot of shots downfield. We have to move the sticks and put points on the board. I also wouldn't mind seeing if DeAngelo Williams has anything left. He did a great job in relief of Bell and he's a good change of pace. The problems with this team are with the offense and they do need to be addressed. Every team has injuries. Every team is losing playmakers. If we are going to play Tyrod, we need to let him run. He had lanes and opportunities to take off and make plays with his legs. That's his best quality. He is not going to magically read a defense. And if that is what we need to make this offense work, then we need to see what we have in Peterman. I am really pleased with the defense, but they can not carry us and the depth at CB, LB is a little concerning. Dareus needs to put on his big boy pants and step up and take control of games. He can and should be a beast and earn that contract. Other than that, stay the course and buy in as a team to the process. We look like we will win 7-8 games. If we can address the above, we may win 9-11. Go Bills!!!!
  16. my opinion changed slightly. Before this week, I saw us as a borderline playoff team with 10 wins. -1 today puts us at 9, lack of depth and no WR's bring it down to 7 or 8.
  17. they are an unwatchable, laughable bunch. Definitely the NFL's bottom of the barrel.
  18. Good. O'Leary may be a decent TE Hyde,Poyer and the tip drills Lorax is a beast Winning the turnover battle again Haushka Tate is nice to have as a 4th receiver and makes some nice returns McD is a step up from Rex. We have a week to heal up and address some glaring problems. Bad We have glaring problems on offense. CB depth is lacking. we need Gaines back D line got no pressure Dareus could be good if he ever gets motivated Shady can not carry the offense, he takes too many negative plays. Offense did not make adjustments McD is a step below Billychick Ugly Tyrod can not see the field Ducasse is putrid, O-line looked weak WR's are really bad. Zay is a problem being on the field. He needs to get better, Injuries are crippling. Without Clay and Matthews we will have trouble sustaining drives. This is not a big play offense. Dennison is not a good OC Team depth. Next man up will not carry this team to the post-season.
  19. I thought the same thing. He danced around as the middle of the pocket collapsed with Duckass in there. He had lanes to run. I'd like to see what the all 22 reveals but it seemed that TT left plays all over the field, whether it was a lane to run or an open receiver. I think he let the pressure and the rain get to him.
  20. Watkins does nothing if the QB can't get the ball to him or sails it ten feet over his head or at his feet.
  21. A couple of things really stood out today starting with the O-line. WTF were they thinking putting Ducasse in there The middle of the pocket constantly collapsed and Taylor got stuck inside too many times looking for a play. We know he holds the ball way too long and the receivers struggle to get separation, but today was especially bad. Why wasn't Groy starting at G? Also, its time to sit Zay Jones. He's not going to work his way out of this and Tate looked pretty good. I think it is time to call Reilly up. I really hope Clay is back after the bye. We need him and Matthews more than anything. Tyrod had a really bad game, and I would put him on a short leash. I am not seeing what Peterman does in practice, but I hope he is improving and learning because his time may be soon. I know it's not time to implode on a road game in the rain, but the truth is that the weather is about to turn and we may have more games like this. There is no reason the Bills should have lost, especially when winning the turnover battle. This was the offenses game to lose and they did just that, But what changes can we make moving forward?
  22. no argument here
  23. it already has. Wright kind of sucks
  24. wheres the QB pressure. Dalton has too much time.
  25. so far you are. this team is not good at playing from behind.
