I thin you misunderstood the definition of 'none'

Evans is well overpaid, but it's a sign of the way the organization conducted business. They didn't have the overall depth of talent to afford to let him go; he was the only playmaker.

There really is one of these threads for every single player that is released

Is Jamarcus any worse than the three we currently have on our roster at QB?
Yes, good lord, yes.

Wow, I've never seen TBD agree on any post as much as they have on this one.

It would be cool to find out what NFL coaches really think of each other. Who they find the most difficult coaches to match up with.
Jauron was probably the hardest because they would have no f'ing clue what he was thinking
-
If you keep replacing suck with slightly less suck because you 'need' to replace that player then your team still sucks.
-
Jauron would have field 11 DB's if he could!
He would have fielded 12 and taken a penalty
-
How about calling them our Offensive Loin?
That gets my vote!

You're wrong in one respect.
Mel Kiper probably makes more money than all but a few GMs in the NFL.
He most certainly makes more money than any scout, Director of College Scouting, etc.
I think you drastically overrate how much ESPN pays it employees.

Well duh...that's fabulous insight.
I thought so, but it seems you missed it.

One of the things I didn't mention was the fact we will be running the ball a ton.....that keeps the offense on the field...our defense off...and wears down their defense.
I'm in favor of the changes made, but this is a fallacy. Your offense stays on the field by getting first downs. If you run three times and don't get a first down then you haven't used up that much more time than passing for three downs.

The disapproval of Jerry Sullivan is well documented on this board. I have generally supported his point-of-view because over the past ten years, he has been proven correct more often than not.
This is a fallacy. He has not been proven correct. They did poorly, but if you consistently pick heads every single time and the coin comes up heads..well, his answer lined up with the result, but that doesn't make him insightful.

How can ANYBODY say the rebuild is off to a great start with major questions at those two positions?
Let's say Clausen was available and he was the exact same player with the exact same skillset, but he played as an OT in college. Would you draft him to be a OT or would you draft another player?
-
He makes a good point that the picks are all high motor guys who if they don't pan out could very well become excellent special teams players.
-
I think its dumb to not at least explore trade options for a min or two. Its not like those players were going to be taken by someone else if we didnt sprint to the podium...
Trades are usually done 'prior' to the team being on the clock. Most of the wait while n the clock is 'praying' or teams looking like they are talking to another team. Basically, silliness.

So is this the thread we discuss our self esteem issues?

So New England picks a ton of players? Big deal.
Since 2005 they've drafted 45 players (Buffalo has drafted 40)
Since 2005 New England has drafted 3 Pro Bowlers. (Buffalo has drafted 2)
Facts have no place here. Move on, troll.

Nix, so far, has been true to his statement that there's no point in bringing in an OT unless he can help you right away (which I read to mean start this year). Maybe he really has convinced himself that the offense was 1 player away, and that player was Spiller.
Perhaps, he feels that if the player at a position of need is not the 'right' player then taking a player you don't feel will pan out is silly simply because you have a player that did not pan out?
What the point of drafting a player to 'not suck' when you can start drafting players that are good?

Question for the Righteous Defenders of the Bills:
If every pick is such a home run, how many wins will we get next year?
As for Easley, he's very much a one-year wonder, which Nix says he doesn't like. Strikes me as strictly a special-teamer unless he really surprises. With that size and speed, if he could catch or run routes, he wouldn't be there in the 4th.
So what is the wunderkid that they missed out on that was still there in the 4th by the grace of god that you think they should have picked and are now upset because they did not validate your football knowledge?

What I love about this draft is that next year we get to do it all over again needing an OT and also a QB. we get to repeat the process. Why take a chance on Pike or Lafoure or Campbell or Clausen or the OT from USC Brown when we can draft reach NTs and Wrs. It is obvious to me that Buddy has a different sense of what we need to build this team.
Wow, sarcasm fail. If you can't do sarcasm right, then don't do it at all. Just state that you didn't like the picks and save us all from having to be embarrassed for you.
-
Why would you make a trade when you can't get value for the player? If Lynch has a good season, they can get a 2nd rounder for him next year and have a productive player. If he doesn't then they can still probably get a 5th rounder for him.
-
Stop reading and making threads about the guy and maybe he will go away. Turn off the radio when he comes on and voice your displeasure to the stations that let him on the air. That's how you get rid of the guy. This post just gets him more hits.

It does not seem to be the current regime's MO to sign under performing players.
Bills contacted Ravens about Gaither

There's 'on the block' and there's "on the block". I think he's more of the "on the block" where the Ravens are asking for a high price, but really aren't interested in trading him...just using it as a negotiating tactic.
