the only WR’s I’d really like in a trade are DK Metcalf (almost certainly not happening) or Courtland Sutton for a 4th. The other players IMO aren’t worth the capital + costIt makes way more sense to me to spend a bit more draft capital for one of the top 3 or BTJ. We then have them for 5 years at a far lower $ cost
not to mention OBJ is a FA.

I guess I would trade back (out of the first) at this point. Regarding trading that 2025 second rounder, I'm looking at this - https://walterfootball.com/draft2025charlie.php - and noticing a lot of pass rushing talent going early. I could see the Bills being all in on that position come 2025 and will want the draft capital to move up. They'll need to replace Von Miller.
wow, only one WR in the first! your right, tons of D.

I voted Legette. McConkey and Worthy were also to be considered. A trade back getting 2 would be ideal.
no love for Mitchell?

With the 20th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select, Graham Barton, OL, Duke.
The Steelers have needs at Center, Tackle, and possibly Guard. While Graham can play tackle and played LT exclusively at Duke, and the Steelers plan to move Jones to Left Tackle, Barton could pickup at RT, C, or G if needed and perform at a high level. The Steelers hope to use him at C, but having a guy who can play anywhere on the OL at a high level is what the Steelers need to keep Wilson and Fields upright.
@TPS and the Dolphins are now on the clock.

I have no idea where hes projected to go... but all things considered dane was a good soldier here and a ton of value for a 7th round pick. Started 28 games, another 5 in the playoffs.agreed. The hate for Dane is ridiculous. He wasn't a 1st round pick. The guy was a heck of a player for a 7th rounder, and not many teams (if any) have a backup CB that could step up like he did.

getting a 3rd for him might happen, Bean could perhaps work that. He has flashed great athletic ability and has 2 INTs in the few games he played, including a nice one last post season v. Steelers.

I'd trade up for Thomas, but the suggested trade seems too much. Perhaps omit the 2025 or 2024 pick. I'd also take another WR at 60.

@Virgil happy to take Steelers if still available. If not, will take whoever is left

didn't Buffalo and Green Bay basically make him invisible?

lol…another 0% chance scenario. Every thread you’re giving away the farm to get every WR with no consideration for substantial amount of holes on this team.
There is absolutely no chance Beane is trading up TWICE in first 2 rounds for 2 WRs leaving us very little ammo to find the players we need in our secondary and DL as well. Not to mention another RB and OL depth we are likely going to use some of the day 3 picks on. And to do so in the deepest and richest WR draft in history is utterly insane.
To get into the mid teens, it’s probably going to cost us our first next year as well without having to gut some of our draft capital this year that we need. Everyone forgets the other team needs to want to move back to and be worth passing on the talent that will be there at OL, DL, CB, and even the WR for themselves.
you are likely correct. The flip side, though, is that we get 2 great WRs this year, and have an offense and D that can compete this year, and use cap space on FA D next year--and we have been mildly better at FA DL than drafting it. Along these lines, I'm in the Thomas/Leggette or Persall camp over costly trade FA WR and 2nd round pick. My ideal situation is trade up for top 3 WR in the draft using next year 1st (which should be low) and draft another WR like Anias Smith or Cowing in Rd. 4. Then fill in with S and OL/DL depth. (we are okay on DL this year, next year is the issue but we have cap space then)

not a chance. Bills games are #1. SU Mens lax is #2.

Maybe not as much of an overdraft, but I think at least 1 of the WRs people see as late 1st early 2nd may go ahead of Brian Thomas.
On the flip side one of McCarthy, Penix or Nix will slide way further than most mock drafters want to believe.
I could see this being Franklin or McConkey.

I've never had the opportunity to sit in an interview with the kid. I've never hired anyone to look into his past. I've never had dinner with him.
That said, being he's a complete stranger I cannot with factual information say if this is a one time mistake or a pattern of behavior behind the curtain. What I can say is that lack of restraint leading up to one of his most important days of his life shows poor judgement. It makes one wonder if this is how he's behaving with the Draft just ahead of him...how does he act when he's here and has "made it"? Would obviously be a situation to dig into his background....but it's a horrible look for him.
would fit perfectly with our 90’s Bills teams partying right before the SB

I understand your point of view.
Personally, I think we've seen what it's like to have a bunch of good to above average players and not enough GREAT players on the roster. It gets us to the Divisional round, and then we lose to a team with more GREAT players.
Me? I want more GREAT players around Josh Allen, and Nabers has the potential for greatness.
Give me one elite, blue chip playmaker with the potential for GREATNESS over a handful of potentially GOOD players, all day long and twice on Sundays.Agree with wanting great players over good. I think Nabers or Odunze will be elite, and would love one of them. On the other hand, if we can't do it, Mitchell is also great. He has 4 TDs in the CBF for 2 different teams (Texas and Georgia), so he shows up when you really need him, unlike Diggs. Double dipping Mitchell and Franklin or Legette could net two great WRs. Although I'd love a Nabers/Odunze and Washington (WR-VA) combo as well.

He must know/believe a trade into the Top 10 is being seriously considered.
He really never makes bold predictions in mocks/signings/roster moves unless he knows something
dude, getting our hopes up!

although, I'm not sure I'd take Nabers over Odunze, who is 6'3", has a better contested catch percentage, and was a state champ in the 200m. Nabers contested catch % is in the 50s.
-
that would be fantastic to land Nabers. Also, as the article indicates, trading our 2025 1st isn't a huge deal if we get a guy like Nabers and do well, it's basically like our second from Minn, which should be a high pick.
-
I'd actually be fine with a RB in the 3rd round if the guy could be a stud. Better than a JAG DL or C who you can get later in the draft. Need impact players.

I would def do it. I'd even take the FSU QB in the 4th (some mocks have him there). Get a guy who can show some stuff in preseason, be a capable backup, and parlay that into a higher pick. Pats routinely did this.
2 hours ago, GASabresIUFan said:No, just no. Did anyone here watch him play at Mich or Tenn? The guy isn’t good. Both Mich and Tenn thought they could mold the athlete into a QB and couldn’t. He is a terrible version of Anthony Richardson and Richardson is also lousy.
The idea of drafting a developmental QB is a good one, but Milton is not the right guy. Travis from FSU seems like a better option.
Agree that Travis from FSU is the better option, but Milton is still worth a pick at that point, IMO.
-
Tre White, great guy and teammate who got bit by injury bug. On the other hand, I was a huge Diggs fan but he quit on his team and could not back up his talk when it mattered in the playoffs. good riddence to Dogging it Diggd.

Beane is not going to do anything modest...this is a precursor to a bigger move
2 seconds next year for us will offset the loss of next years #1
To get a Rookie WR under a cost controlled 5 years over Josh's Prime = a big move and not a half-arsed modest one
I won't mind a big move, bit draft wise I’m not sold that anyone other than Harrison is worth more of a move up than it takes for Thomas. I may need to watch some more Malki Nabers and Rome Odenzu highlights.

Mitchell and another WR in Rd 2, ideally Polk.
1 hour ago, Mat68 said:With wr being a more immediate need I would look for a higher floor. Leggette fills a need and I think is better equipped to contribute rigjt away.
I think Legette struggled adjusting to college and may have same issue adjusting to pro game. That said, either one of these guys I would want to pare with another WR in this loaded class (ideally the always productive Polk)

I think a more moderate move up to Brian Thomas is realistic.
Id also be fine just grabbing AD Mitchell at ~28 and move around the 2nd and grab Franklin.
this is where I am at. modest move for Thomas, or Mitchell and some combo of Franklin, Legette, or Polk.

TSW 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills draft at 41?
in The Stadium Wall

Agreed, I'd prefer Polk over Frankin as Polk profiles more as a WR1. Of the options presented, I'd go Franklin though. I'd also consider Burton.
