  1. this is an awesome exercise.  Thanks, @corta765.

    Here are my thoughts:

    Offense:

    QB: Josh Allen (duh)

    RB: James Cook

WR: Khalil Shakir  I don't know why, but I still think Coleman is a key part of the WR room, just not as a 1 or 2.  More like a solid WR 3 that can convert 3rd downs when needed.

TE: Dalton Kincaid // Jackson Hawes

O-Line: Dawkins - Edwards- McGovern-Torrence- Brown.   I'm not sure Dawkins makes it to 2030, he'd be about 36 by then.  We need to draft an OT at some point in the future for continuity, that will also result in a lower overall cap by having a rookie OT.  This is not a necessary 2026 pick, but becomes more urgent around 2027.

    Defense:

DE: Greg Rousseau   I'd like to see Bosa resigned, although like Dawkins, if we are looking to 2030, he's likely not here.  Although DE can play till 36, so who knows.

DT: Ed Oliver // Deone Walker // TJ Sanders // DeWayne Carter   Not sold on Sanders or Carter.  They have yet to show anything.  The hope is they are core contributors, but I'd say sanders more likely than Carter at this point.

LB: Terrel Bernard // Dorian Williams  This one is interesting.  I think both these guys may still be here. But I can see the 2026 1st round pick being a LB who replaces Milano, putting Williams back as a backup.  This makes an interesting situation when his contract is up.  That said, I don't see Williams as a "cornerstone", but could be a great rotational piece.  Well, perhaps that is a cornerstone.

CB: Christian Benford // Max Hariston // Dorian Strong   Unfortunately Strong is likely to not be here.  He will be replaced by whoever Bean pulls out of the 5th round CB grab-bag next year where he generally finds starter (but not star) talent.  Benford has been disappointing this year, he turns it around he is still here..  If not, he could be a future cut.

SAF: Cole Bishop  I hope this is correct.  But Bishop has had one really good game, and some really bad ones.  Overall, just average ones.  I think safety will be a pick next year at some point to shore up next to him.  I'm optimistic this could look like Bishop/Hancock over the next 5 years.

He is coaching his 140th game on Sunday.  Show me a coach who has coached that many games and doesnt have blunders you could list.   13 seconds was unforgivable for many people, thats the real issue.

I think the real issue is having JA and not making, yet alone winning a SB.

First Things First was discussing this. Hairston and Bishop both spilled film study “tells” they found while scouting the Chiefs. Nick and everybody else said they should’ve sat on that information until after the season (I agree).

exactly.  Monumentally stupid.  You’d think this is something a coach or whoever would have told them at some point.  Don’t let your opponents know your tricks.

Moore's pass was amazing but that throw to Kincaid for the long gainer where he pumped, reloaded, stepped up and around and then uncorked an absolute laser that hit Kincaid perfectly in stride between two defenders crossing near field on the run was unreal as well.

i missed seeing that one.  may have to look it up, the guys on the radio were trying to describe it but just sounded very excited.

McDermott saves at least 1, if not 2, TDs with those TOs.

Use the TOs when you need them

totally disagree.  McD created a KC TD by extending a drive with one of those.  KC had 4th and 18, was discombobulated, would have tossed an incomplete pass, saved at the last minute by a TO.

Eric Wood was equally miffed by the myriad of defensive TOs and confusion, particularly following KC injuries.

Spags hates playing Josh Allen and wants him to retire haha

I'm not sure this is true.  KC is just laying on the flattery, they could care less about facing us given their postseason record.

  6.

Quick recap.  Heard most of game on radio.

    Good:

    great game by Bishop

well called game overall by Brady

    Cook kept cooking.

Simpler concepts on 3rd down resulted in 1st down.  Less cute, more win the rep.

    Areas for improvement:

McD needs to stop the last second defensive TOs.  These seem to favor the offense.

Also too many instances of the D being ill prepared following an injury to KC.  No excuse for that.

No, Jim. We indeed have a receiver problem. No one can get open, which also forces us to turn to the run. I fear that soon that will lead to a RB problem  because Cook is taking a lot of hits and we have no capable RB behind him to take some of the early season wear and tear off.

We are one dimensional with the most gifted QB on Earth. It's like taking the tires off a Ferrari and replacing them with sandbags.

keeping the Ferrari in the garage because you've refused to get it gas, and driving a Pinto because it's still getting you from point A to B.  Well, as you stated, that Pinto will wear out at some point.  And then the Ferrari is still stuck in the garage.
