  1. perhaps the Pens were fine with him leaving for that reason and saw it ahead of time. Wish he went to team besides the Sabers if he was that bad. Like the Capitals.
  2. just shocked. I'm a Pens fan, and he was supposed to take over for Rutherford. Then, suddenly, the Pens were okay with Rutherford sticking around and Botterill going to the Sabers. For any Sabers fans here, what was the issue? Bad trades? He always got a lot of credit for the Pens good trades, but it does seem the trades/scouting here got even better once he left. is Kervyn an interim GM?
  3. wow. I always thought it was cool when we had a defensive player named "Rambo"
  4. QB: C Could be better this year. RB: B+ Motor himself could be A-, and with Moss it could be even better TE: C+. I think we are unduly "hard" on our TE's around here. Most of the league TE play is average. I expect this to rise a ton this year, however. WR: A+ We have the best WR in the league, IMO in Diggs, a great burner in Brown, and a great slot player in Beasley. Solid depth as well. OL: C. On the one hand, the pressures on JA were terrible last year, on the other hand, the running game was good when Daboll remembered it existed and JA was great at scrambling. Pass protection def. needs to improve. CB: A-. White is elite, and the rest are above average, IMO. S: A White and Poyer are fantastic. Poyer needs to regain his tackling form, however. LB: B. Milano is above average, and Edmund's improved greatly last year and made the pro bowl. The 3rd LB gives me pause, however. DL: B+. The DL did a great job last year and Oliver came on strong at the end of the season. ST: C-. Way too sporadic last year. Punting and FG kicking must be much more consistent. It looked like a college team out there sometimes with the inconsistency.
  5. Jets only hope is a 6 game season. Get hot for 6 games. That said, I'd take 6 games over 0 games. Not ideal, however.
  6. I can see us keeping 3. A quarantined QB could be a good idea. I could see JA, Barkley and Fromm.
  7. I love that his instinct is not to "check down," Daboll needs to draw-up intermediate routes where the play is, in fact, a "check-down". We have a ton of weapons that will spread out defenses, and getting Knox, Moss, or Singletary the ball within 5 yards of the LOS could result in a huge gain.
  8. that looks fantastic!!
  9. Final Round. Go Bills!!!
  10. that’s just mean. I believe Knox also started wearing gloves at some point last season. I wonder of the drops went down after that? The ability to make contested catches is there, and I believe he will concentrate more on the easy ones. I cant find a proline Diggs jersey anywhere in anything by XL and above. Anyone know where to find a proline medium????
  11. as much as I love this, I'm hoping that Moss can take some of these 3rd and 1's from Allen this year. Another weapon out there, and takes some potential beating off Allen. also, looks like a great job by the revamped OL in those situations last year.
  12. it is interesting that the drama prone always get more talk than the actual performers. Cam is much better than Kaep, and if he is healthy, would be the best QB in the AFC East--at least this season. I'm beginning to hope they don't. He would allow them to tank for Trevor.
  13. what conference do the USC fans want to join? would be fun to have it in the ACC for football to have a western team.
  14. Perhaps he wanted too much for an UDFA? weird no one even signed him to a training camp battle. or perhaps he only wanted to go somewhere where there would be no TC battle. Glad he can go back. I think a shortened COVID created training camp would/will hurt rookies, esp UDFA’s.
  15. this is what I would do. I think Fromm gets poached if we put him on the practice squad, I don't think that happens with Webb. I remember when we had a similar type QB in the early 90's. High floor, perhaps lowish ceiling. Worked out well then.
  16. can you buy regular game tix yet??
  17. I think between the Jets and Miami one is going to compete with us for the division. I think it will be Miami with the Jets imploding. Also, Bell needs a specific type of OL. He had a consistent and great OL when successful in Pitt. He does not have that even now in NJ.
  18. unfortunately I think u are right.
  19. Gore and McCoy. Imagine that backfield with both in their prime. we may have a similar one here now with Motor and Moss. ?
  20. any update on this. did the blood test results come back/public?
  21. I agree. we likely have football, but will not be able to attend. if thats the only way to get it this year then okay. I’ll be in the stands next year to watch us as defending champs.
  22. they prob had someone from NYC do it. likely a Jets fan. A fireable offense, IMO.
  23. who will poyer be benched for? good point. but I think Brown and Beasley will draw enough attention.
  24. The idea that “this is going to get worse” is overly pessimistic. I think we will see more cases (obvious when ppl stop staying home and can be exposed) but with fewer deaths. Why: (1) mask use can cut transmission by 80 percent according to a recent Hong Kong study; and (2) we know who the virus is most likely to kill: the elderly and those with preexisting conditions. There will be extra precautions taken by those people as well as those who will care for those people. number of deaths by population. the population is much larger now, and hopefully we stop sticking sick people in nursing homes. masks and social distancing will work.
