TBD has a long and storied history of running reporters and sources off the board.

Granted, most but not all of them were very thin skinned and couldn’t handle much critique, but then we also have a number of scorched earth posters who went overboard with the venom.

    Welcome to the internet.

I'm sure they're all here but with pseudonyms. Where else would they get their intelligent material?

Warning: Gossip from someone who knows nothing about anything

I was golfing with a buddy of mine who is not prone to BS. It was early in the season (around week 2 or 3). My friend is an Uber driver and we were talking about the Bills. He mentioned that he gave an airport ride to someone who was very close to Elam and she stated that he had been dealing with an ankle issue for awhile that severely limited his play. I kept watching him whenever he played, and it seemed like he was having issues making hard cuts and acceleration. Then he was put on IR after it was announced he had an ankle issue after week 8. I know Elam had a rough rookie year, but should he get a Mulligan for this year if the injury was truly hurting his progress ?  It seems the Bills are going to give him another year but it's the NFL so who knows ?

Again. I know nothing but my buddy is a straight shooter and did not make up the ankle injury thing 2 months before Elam went on IR.

Is your buddy's name Don? As in Dunkirk Don?

It was nice to see a cohesive offensive attack for a change rather than throwing darts hoping something will work.  Also, re: Davis and Shakir. They play different positions and Davis would have had a TD today if the line held up for another second.  He was going to be open and Allen was about to throw him the ball.  It's not about who plays and who doesn't.  They can all play and have a role. in a 1 TE offense.  What I saw today that was encouraging is that they didn't seem to be forcing the ball to any one particular player.  They had a coordinated attack of running the ball and then taking advantage of the aggressive LBs in the middle of the field.  That led to the slot guys and backs getting more throws tonight. Davis was on the field almost all night and did a good job blocking and drawing coverage downfield.  If you don't cover him, Allen WILL throw it there so you have to keep someone back and respect it. That just gives the middle of the field guys even more room to work.  If the OC is doing it right, everyone can be an option.  The defense CAN'T guard everyone so it's taking what's there and getting the defense to try to play whack a mole.  Some days will be like today where it's the middle of the field and Davis and Diggs don't see the ball as much as the TEs, backs and Shakir.  This is how it SHOULD be though. Throw to the open dude. If they want to double Diggs, someone else is open. They want to shut down the deep throws? The middle of the field is open. They have enough guys that can catch the ball. They have enough players that can get open. Everything needs to be working harmoniously to make that happen and that's what Dorsey sucked at. Too many times the offense had zero rhythm and when that happened he'd default into forcing the ball to Diggs to try to get it going.

Just seemed like he as quick on the trigger to question a lot of our big plays, Ty Johnson TD--was in all the way, and Poyer int, which i thought was an int hands under the ball, then you hear ball can touch the ground---was closer to me than him and Gene thought.

#3 I bet he says he likes every city.

Concerning Jim Nantz, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Do some research and hear what he has said the past few years about Josh Allen and the Bills organization—especially after his father died last year. And he has been one of the few national people to poopoo the “window is closing narrative” that the lazy people spout. I said this in the PreGame post and I’ll say it again, “Jim Nantz is a class act.” You’re wrong. Move on to something that has validity.

Josh has that look of emptiness.  Can't help but think being in Buffalo without Britt is getting to him.  Everything happened with them so late in season that he was constantly traveling right after they broke up.  After months in Buffalo, I bet it doesn't feel like it has the previous 5 years for him.   We have all been there when a place doesn't feel like home anymore and you just start going through the motions.

More likely, the dog. She took the dog with her.

Letting Mac Jones, Tyrod Taylor, Baker Mayfield,  Russ Wilson, and Zach Wilson go on long TD drives in crucial moments of the 4th QTR is not a formula for winning football certainly won't put you in position to make the playoffs.

Shaw, that is an excellent post, and I am with you. It was the right move to replace Dorsey. All the difficulties of this team are not on him, but he had his fair share of it.

But I also agree with Reks. As frustrating as it has been watching the offense struggle in every game they have lost, it has recovered enough to get a lead or tie it (Jets, Patriots, Broncos) or get back in the game (Jags, Bengals) in the 4th quarter in each lose, only to see the Defense -- with a bit of help from Special Teams -- let the other team drive the field and win the game in the waning moments.

And think about this: Two incompetent Special Team plays at the end of the game have led directly to two losses. Without this, the Bills are on top of the Division and contending for the number 1 play-off position (Perspective = TWO STUPID ST PLAYS!). Not to mention the general malaise of ST play for the entire season. I do wonder why Smiley has not been let go along with Dorsey.

Conclusion: It's been "complimentary dysfunctional football." All three phases have contributed. The problem is the offense should be bailing everyone out, and it is not.

Hope: A slight improvement in all three phases, and this is still one of the best teams in the AFC. There is hope. Sunday will be telling.
