I love a lot of the choices listed for the Bills at 61 and would really like Dyami Brown but Vera-Tucker is sticking out to me like a sore thumb...hiding in plain sight. Have to grab him, IMO.

All that poutine is slowing down your reflexes. 😁

He went to the Giants in this scenario and not the Bills. I'm good.

Come on, Sherlock. You know darn well that this is a TBD mock, not a Raiders mock (although they are always fun to 'mock'). Have you been huffing Werner's bloomers again?
-
Love the bolded...hate the line below it.
-
Because he's not even close to being worthy of a top 40 selection.
-
Alex Leatherwood played for Alabama. You may be confusing him with Liam Eichenberg who played for Notre Dame.
-
Sure. I just pointed it out for context because I thought it was interesting where he ranked those four in relation to the Bills' choice in this TBD mock. Keep up the good work.

FWIW, in Daniel Jeremiah's latest 'Top 50' (released about an hour ago) he has: JOK (18) Etienne (20) Harris (21) Phillips (22) https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2021-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-3-0?icampaign=nflweb-push-webnotification

Toney is turning into quite the enigma and I agree with you both that it will all come down to how fast he truly is. I am increasingly getting the feeling that whoever takes him will either have one of the steals of the draft or one of the biggest disappointments. There doesn't seem to be an in-between with him. He seems to be a huge risk/reward type of player. Just who is willing to pull the trigger and take that risk when the time comes is the question.
-
I don't "fall in love" with positions. In fact, I think if you have your heart set on one player in particular, you're setting yourself up for disappointment, especially when there will be 29 picks made before the Bills select (barring a trade/trades up, of course). I was commenting on who was there at 30 in this TBD mock. I've run a ton of mocks and, as of late, JOK was long gone before the Bills picked and Jaelan Phillips has increasingly been there. They both may very well be gone before the Bills pick and I'm fine with that but I would be more than happy with JOK (or Phillips). This isn't just about someone to plug and play for 2021, it's about roster building. He's big, fast, and explosive and can play three downs, if needed, or be used as a chess piece in sub packages. Add as much talent as possible and let the coaches figure out the rest.
-
I had every intention of voting for Jaelan Phillips until I saw that JOK was still available. That floored me. Those are my top two choices. If the board actually falls that way for the Bills, it will be a really nice 'dilemma' for them. Good job by all of the TBD GMs thus far.

In no way did I propose him as a 1st Rounder, not sure how you got there. I was just discussing the kid with 'whatdrought', nothing more. I said I like him as a prospect in general, not as a Bill. With Milano re-signing, there are bigger needs than LB. I wouldn't even entertain taking one prior to the Round 3, if then.
-
Either way, he's a good prospect and I think he'd be a good addition to their D. There are several UNC prospects I like in this draft.
-
He'd play outside in a 4-3 so I'm not sure it would affect Edmunds much, if at all. He's a little raw but looks like he could be a good pursuit backer.

I have been a diehard Alabama fan my whole life and I love Najee Harris. I also think that Etienne has a chance to be special. That said, I think taking a RB in the 1st Round would not be the best allocation of resources. This is a predominantly 10 and 11 personnel offense and it does not need a 'bell cow' RB. There are guys with a gear that Singletary and Moss don't possess who will be available outside of the 1st Round. Williams, Gainwell, Jefferson, & Hawkins just to list a handful.

Yes, sir...I concur and believe you are correct. Either way, one of the most iconic calls and people in Buffalo sports history.
-
RIP, Rick Azar. I really liked him as a kid growing up in WNY. I can still hear his call in my head on OJ's record breaking run in 1973 like it was yesterday. He had a great run himself...91 years. Kudos, sir. It was Rick on the call but Al was in the booth with him as the color analyst. You are correct. I had it backwards. Apologies.

Was he playing the '3' when they kicked him inside?

Which means the team likely has the worst teeth in the league now and will need a good dentist... ...or at least @teef
