1. If you look at the whole season last year, an argument could be made that Reed was the most consistent. He had one bad game (San Diego) and did what he was asked to in the other games. This , along with the fact that he is our best blocker from the WR position is likely why he is still here.

Agree with you. Sorry, poster he is a much better talent than Andre Davis and the thought of jonathan Smith as an option had Mr. Levy looking for cemetary plots.

Bottom line... He's better than the rest... other than L. Evans... too early to make a judgment on R. Parrish.

I think Reed gets a bad rap 'cuz he hasn't lived up to the hype. He is what he is.. and that's better than these other guys that are lucky to have an NFL job

  2. No, YOU said you were going to ignore me.  I said that was good for me b/c it would save me time as well from responding to you.  As for your "question" to me, I'm pretty sure you always get good answers from people that you dis with the tired fast food insult, right?

FWIW, I really really don't give a crap.  Let's make up kiss now, okay?

    Mwah.

    667257

I wish I could quit you !! xoxo... Sincerely, have a good weekend.

  3. For the record, I do think it was unprovoked hostility.  But I don't really care, seeing how "you" are just a screenname to me as well.

    667251

I thought you were going to ignore me...... and I did ask you in an earlier post if how you were able to see his games. Flowers are on the way!!! I respect people who have opinions they can back up even if I disagree vehemently. stupid opinions just can't go by unchecked. Sorry it's my job ! Have a nice weekend....

  4. Ass Clown. MVR < RJ. Where did this hostility come from?

And personally I don't think the Bills need to draft a QB as an insurance policy this year. Lets see what we have in JP and maybe Nall.  If JP fails to improve at all this season then we can look for a QB prosprect. And if its not Brady Quinn then, and yes my opinion can hold up to MVR's close eye since i watched 3 games on TV and 2 in person, but i digress, I really like Jordan Palmer from UTEP. He's Carson's brother, good pedigree, he's athletic and has a very strong arm.  I think the kid has serious potential to be a good QB in the NFL, and thought he may be a steal in the second round but it looks as if he's starting to move into next year's first round, especially if he has a strong senior campaign.  He's a prospect to keep an eye on.

MVR Disclaimer: I am not an NFL scout, nor am I a college scout, or High School or hell even Pop Warner, but I do like football, and I am observant, so I figured I could give an opinion.  I have not clocked Palmer's 40 time, or his velocity on his throws, nor do I know if he's a high motor. But my observations and opinions on Jordan remain based on what I've seen with my own two eyes.

    667229

There is no hostility whatsoever, none. To claim a guy he has never seen play(Meyer),in his opinion, could end up being the best QB in this draft is just laughable... that's all. Just sarcasm at a ridiculous post. But I apologize if I sounded hostile. My therapist says if Norwood had made that kick I would be a greeter at a Wal-Mart instead trying to bring sarcasm/humor to this board.

  5. Where were the Pats in revenue before this run?  Surely not in the top 3.

    667198

Draft unglamorous Winston Justice and Charles Spencer, let Willis gain 1700 yards in 2007 and go 11-5 or 12-4 and we'll bring in plenty of revenue. Just win and everything will take care of itself. A little Pollyannish, but geez let's win some games... that's what concerns me the most !!!

  6. If someone forgets to draft Joseph Addai, I wouldn't mind having him around in case Willis leaves or is injured. May not be a need but this guy looks like he loves to play and I think he could be an excellent addition. Not promoting this but if he is there at #42 and it's a choice between him and one of nine DT's that all look about the same... give me the stud

  7. "Anyways, he'll get drafted, and he'll pay some vandy grad to be his accountant and count his millions for him."

I would not be too sure about either of those - getting drafted and making it to the 7 figure mark in the NFL.  Nicholson is a turd, a rotten CrimiNole who was repeatedly in trouble and massively FUed enough for Bawby to toss his arse off the team.  Lord knows, it takes a LOT of TROUBLE to get tossed off the CrimiNoles, like kiting Florida State checks or "shopping" at Dillard's...

    667126

If this is your way of trying to get someone to send you a Florida State game jersey, I think you may want to try a different tact... only a suggestion !

  8. :flirt:

C'mon, Mo - give the guy a chance.   :(

    667075

Sorry, but a few years ago when my boys would start yelling,"Timber" every time Bledsoe went back to pass has obviously created a hostile attitude in me. Therefore, I wish to apologize and wish Mr. Jacobs all the best of health if he comes to WNY.

  9. Oh, shut up.  Ignore my posts if you think I'm full of crap but I'm not going to spend time justifying every single opinion I make on the draft.  Why would I want to be a pro scout?  Their jobs suck.  No, seriously, how have I offended you in any way?  I can only explain it by you not liking the tone of my posts being so authoratative.  Well, don't let me catch you making any opinions that aren't hedged by "I'm not a scout or GM so take this for what it's worth".  Like I said before, I would hope people would just assume that so I don't have to repeat that constantly.

    667080

    Consider yourself ignored

  10. Pinegar sucks.  He has poor arm strength and no quickness in the pocket, in other words, he brings nothing to the table.  The only QB I have marked as draftable by the Bills is Erik Meyer because obviously I don't want the Bills to be using the first rounder on a QB or trading up for Leinart or anything stupid like that.  It needs to be a mid-rounder if at all and Meyer is probably going to end up being one of the top 3 QBs from this draft, if not the best.

    666623

What dish did you use to get those Eastern Washington games so you could 'Study" Erik Meyer ? Why aren't you a pro scout anyway ? I know you could leave your current job 'cuz last week you put way too much mayo on my "Whopper w/cheese"

  11. I wouldn't say Leinart will be a bust, but I don't think he is going to be a great QB either.  He's a QB who doesn't have a great arm, but who I think can make strong decisions with the football and move an offense in a dink-and-dunk style.

    667019

I like Ronnie Lott's comments about Vince Young on your signature line. I think he is right up there with David Klingler, Andre Ware, Tim Couch and Ty Detmer as far as college QB's go. And I think he will probably have similar success in the Pros as these guys.

In three years, when Leinart is in the playoffs and the team with Young is trying to figure out if he can play H-back, (since the WR experiment failed) he will still be one of the greatest college QB's ever !!

  12. Just because the Horns have CHICKENED OUT for the past 80 years after getting repeatedly BRANDED by Vandy is no reason to criticize Vandy.  If the Horns actually want to prove something in football, they know who owns them...

    666932

Tell me. Will it be hard getting tickets for Vandy's home game against Tennessee STATE on 9/23/2006 ? Christmas Day for the Scalpers !!

Then to come back the following week and have to play those bruisers from Temple (another home game). You must be Psyched for those !!

  13. Yeah, Vandy was SMACKIN' the Cokes.  Recently, though, the Cokes have been CHICKENING OUT from scheduling Vandy, as have the CrimiNoles, who are WINLESS against Vandy.

Who is 8-3-1 against the Texas LongHorns?

    Yeah, that would be Vanderbilt....

    666914

What's there record against Texas after they legalized the forward pass ? Vanderbilt is an excellent school and they play hard but 8-3-1 against Texas is not an argument to be taken seriously in building a case for their current situation. They should be in a league where they can compete like Conference USA so they could have some winning seasons.

  14. Morandy

I agree with that depending on the position....

I think that is actually very easy to evaluate linemen on the tube because the camera's are trained into that area of the field the majority of the time....

But rb, wr, lb, s, dbs......you cant really tell

    666878

Agreed. And alot may depend on who he is drafted by, the system, the coaching, etc., as to whether he will develop.

Agree with your premiseOn the OL, .. for example everything you see on tape, Eric Winston has a hard time with quick DE's. Whether it's footwork or lack of strength I don't know, but you are right, I think a Red flag can be spotted in the trenches a little easier.

  15. Its not soon enough for him to tell you his draft day thoughts on parrish and everett. He needs ot watch them play first and determine how good/bad they turn out, then he'll spout off on how he knew all along. :flirt:

And Bill, whats with the roscoe hate? I can easily see hating TD for taking roscoe in round 2 when there were other players that were needed. But why hate the little guy? Its not his fault he got drafted. Also, Roscoe WASNT hurt when we drafted him, and small players do make it. I guess i am saying "hate the pick, not the player"

    666850

Don't agree with many of your posts Ramius, aka Mr. Bunkley, but your first paragraph is almost word for word what I was thinking. I think people evaluating film for a living may have a more informed opinion than the guy/gal watching on the tube (which is not to say that mistakes are not made). Easy to second guess after the fact.

  16. There was absolutely nothing in that article about him being an out of shape player that doesn't play hard.

That being said, I don't want the Bills to take him with the 8th pick, though it has very little to do with Ngata.  The draft is very deep at DT and there is no reason to take one with a top 10 pick unless he's clearly superior to every other DT in the draft.

    666787

Don't try and contradict people's opinions with the fallacies in their facts.

  17. I was only kidding.  Guess that didn't come across.   I'm one of the biggest Marv supporters there is.  But you gotta admit on paper, it looks like a funny trade.  That's all I'm saying.  :D

    666473

I think Malta understood you were being sarcastic. The Bills just didn't have enough leverage (obviously) to get anymore before having to axe Moulds. Besides Andre Hall has been compared favorably to some of the greatest runningbacks of all time.... by his Mom
