1. Tight End Davis is very tempting, but I gotta go with Ngata. After the defensive tackle/offensive line problem, TE is probably our biggest need...but the DT Offensive line situation is one that HAS to be top priority.

Exactly. We need to create holes for RB's and give QB time to throw. Also, stop the run !!!! Please not a 6' 2 TE no matter how good. Please address the lines .

  2. Don't know if anyone here really cares about the Women's Olympic hockey team, but Finland is on the verge of an upset.  Although, Canada is gonna kick the crap out of any team they face for the gold.

First the Bills now this. What a horrible few months this has been !! No more updates please... my heart can't take it.

  3. He likes the hiring of DJ, said when he was with Chicago, he had very little talent to work with.

    579876

Well he does have better talent to work with here. What I remember is how pathetic their offensive game plan was. Even Boomer Esiason (on radio) was talking at how badly their scheme was, and how they didn't adjust well during the game. I hope whoever his OC is stays as far away from Ralph Wilson Stadium as possible.

  4. I find it interesting that in a supposed great year for OT talent, only 2 1st rounders.  Does that mean that we may have a decent shot at a starting-quality OT with the 8th pick in Round 2?

    571409

We should, although we have the 10th pick in Round 2. We just need to get the best OL or DL in Round 1 and then hope a high quality player falls to us at the other position or maybe a DB falls in Round 2. Go Bills !!

  5. If I'm cheap (RW) and am trying to get my target's (Hopefully Sherman but likely Haslett) price down I leak that Jauron in a "strong candidate" and I keep interviewing.

This could explain why Haslett hasn't been interviewed yet.  If his price is too high I'm sure its possible we're just letting everything fill up to eliminate his options.

I'll take any coach who, when ahead 23-3 at Miami and has a first and goal late in the third quarter, will run the ball. I'm still mad about blowing that game. We are not as bad as some of us think. But we need to shore up the OL and DL. Just think how great L. Evans and R. Parrish will look if our QB has time to throw the ball. Not to mention McGahee with a few holes to run through. Keep the faith people. Things can change quickly in the NFL with the right coaching and some good acquisitions. Go Bills !!

  6. I would like to rule out these peoplefor Head Coach.

    1. Mike Tice

    2. Dom Capers

    3. Rich Kotite

    4. Conrad Dobler

    5. Deion Sanders

    6. Michael irvin.

Would be happy with mostly all the names mentioned but am leaning towards D. Henderson, S. Payton M. Sherman or J. Haslett. Hope there is still enough brain cells left in our "brain trust " to give us a solid coach and staff.

  7. ...and just make sure to give him shock treatments before playoff games...

Does that make sense ??--break him out of his robotic pattern of losing playoff games..while at the same time utilizing his solid regular season coaching ability.

Ralph and Marv may not want to take a chance on such a youngster.

  8. You try turning a bunch of has-beens and no-names into a cohesive o-line.  The fact the guy has turned Jason Peters into a serviceable - potentially quality - RT shows me he knows a thing or two about coaching 'em up.

With their garbage talent, Willis still ran for how many yards?

    566646

Under 4 yards per carry. I'm not saying they are great but you play with the cards you are dealt and they absolutely regressed during the year. And if Marvelous Marv picks anything other than OL or DL in the first round then....I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been addicted to this team since 1965 (5 years old)

  9. My inside sources tell me that Marv and Mike Martz are close. Is health may play into this and he may not be able to coach, will see.

    566630

My inside sources tell me that Ralph and Marv took a long nap right after the press conference, had some hot tea, an early supper and went to bed. They both had to be reminded at the meeting this morning that Mike Mularkey had resigned and Marv was quoted as saying "Mike who?" and Ralph responded "zzzzzz". I feel we are in great shape right now and I feel confident going to Vegas and putting some cash down on the Bills in '06. I need a drink !

  10. Kay Stephenson has head coaching experience but I really don't think we want him. I think Henderson would bring some excitement to this franchise which is on life support right now. But I think the old guys will pick somebody they feel comfy with..Fassel or Haslett.

Personally I like D. Henderson or Sean Payton. Haslett/Saunders are proven losers which is hard for me to say since Haslett is my second all-time favorite Bill (A. Reed).

We must bring in someone that will attract FA'S.

  11. For what its worth, my pecking order:

    1)  Mike Sherman

    2)  Ron Rivera

    3)  Haslett

    4)  Bates

    5)  Mooch

    6)  Jerry Gray

    7)  Merv Griffin

    8)  Marv Levy

No matter who the coach is, please, please, PLEASE keep Bobby April and Jim McNally.

    566016

KEEP MCNALLY ? Is that a joke 'cuz I didn't hear the laugh track. McGahee didn't have five holes to go through all year. The man should be tarred and feathered not idolized.

  12. My main concern with free agency is who would want to come here.

We had better get a coach who is brings a sense of stability/excitement/ or is one great salesman. I'm not sure two octogenerians are going to sell me on coming to play up here unless Arizona is my only other option.

  13. Draft 2006--1. Offensive Line. Amazing what McGahee would look like with some holes to work with.

2.Defensive line. Stop the rush, put some pressure on the other team.

3.Defensive Backs. Clements is probably gone.

We don't need early------ Wr's If the line is doing it's job Evans is in the Pro Bowl.

We need Linemen and everything falls in to place pure and simple. Have a good one. Out

  14. Just wanted to thank Mark for all the coordinating that went in to it. My two boys and I had a great time. Nice caravaning with Boomer and it was great to revive my intense hatred for the Silver and Black. I seem to root against teams with the most arrogant and least knowledgeable fans, which is why I hate the Cowboys, Raiders and Yankees... oh yeah the Lakers too. See you in San Diego... Hope the defense shows up and has much passion as our tailgating fans do. Thanks again Mark

  15. I think that Travis is getting bad advice or he is not thinking straight. Does everyone think that McGahee is indestructable? If he gets hurt in the first preseason game WE'LL be the ones scrambling for a runningback. Neither Shaud Williams, ReShard Lee nor Lionel Gates bring me a lot of confidence for our playoff aspirations. Travis may be very immature but he is a much better than average back. If I knew Willis was going to be healthy the whole year I would say maybe trade TH. But the drop-off in talent from Henry to the next in line is tremendous.
