This sight gave us a B, C and B. walter football I cant see giving us a 'B' in the first round...should be closer to an 'A' based off of Dareus's skill set and our team needs. Also, every so called 'expert' seems to look for an opportunity to knock Fitz.

Stevie and Fitz not only put up solid numbers together, their skill sets compliment eachother considering neither are 'Tier one' type players. I'll explain. JP Losman had one strength, throwing the deep ball to Lee Evans while he streaked down the field. Stevie does not posess the speed to have been successful with JP, therefore they never would have been productive as a pair. JP's reads tended to be over the top and never saw WR's 'underneath.' JP also scrambled out of the pocket too often and had a difficult time making accurate throws on the run; he never would have even seen Stevie get open once plays broke down or took time to develope. As we all know, Trent ripped through his reads too quickly and always looked to the RB as an outlet. Once again, Stevies 'zig zagging' and instinct to find openings were useless because by the time he was open, Marshawn and Freddie already had the ball in the air and heading their direction. Not to mention, T.O. was on the field and forced Stevie to a reduced roster spot with limited play. Fitz tends to hang in the pocket and maintain some level of poise. His willingess to wait for plays to develope which allowed Stevie to get open, allowed balls to get thrown to Stevie at different levels depending on the routes he was running. Fitz also scrambled just enough to keep plays alive or take them for decent gains on the ground. Defenses had to stay honest and defend the QB as well as the receivers even with the sometime porous line we had. I think the two of them were a decent marriage of skill-sets. Just my two cents.

As of last year, I also followed and rooted for) Tampa Bay. Partially because of Buffalo native, Mike Williams and secondly because I collect Football cards and have alot of Josh Freeman Rookie cards. I usually get excited about a team because of fantasy foorball players that I may have on my teams. Since I never or ever will draft Tom Brady or any other Patriot player, I never have to worry about 'conflicting' interests. Funny Story, I recently had a friend visiting from Istanbul, Turkey and he was overwhelmed on how every glass or Mug he drank out of had a BILLS logo afixed to it. He saw the logo on my clothes, my sons's pajamas, my trailer hitch on my truck and banners in my garage. Even he, as a fanatical soccer fan, couldn't get over my allegiance to 'my team' the Buffalo BILLS.

A year or so ago, I commented on a post in regards to how the coaching staff of KC made some drastic changes which led the team to where it is today. Chan Gailey was part of that KC decision making at the time. ---KC traded off 'franchise-esque' players such as Jared Allen for additional draft picks. They accumulated dozens of picks in what was the coming draft at the time. KC also cut ties with players such as RB Larry Johnson and replaced them with young 'up and coming' talent like Jamaal Charles and veterans like Thomas Jones. At least in the RB category, one can draw parallels to the Thomas Jones/Jamaal Charles combo and the Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller duo(although it may be too early to tell) I think the template that KC used could be used for the Bills in the coming years, even though KC already had a HOF Tight End and a Big physical Receiver. If Buffalo drafts Defense and drafts well, they could solidify the Def side of the ball for the next five to 8 years. Hopefully this will allow us to address the TE position, possibly through free agency and allow our already productive receivers to develope more this year. I don't see any dropoff between Matt Cassel and Ryan Fitzpatrick on the QB side of the ball, I simply think we need our running game to evolve to what Kansas City has been able to accomplish. Just my 2 cents on the issue.

Did you see the posts of the Raven fans commenting on the pick-up? One poster wrote... "REALLY INTRIGUING PROSPECT! 6-5 , 220 ! what a big target to groom with Flacco... and with mentor like Mason , Boldin and Housh! Wait and see! GO RAVENS!" He's in for a big suprise!

I'll play devil's advocate. If next year, Spiller's second year as a pro, he rushes for 1200+ yards, has 30-50 catches for another 500 yards and returns a few kicks for scores.....does the Spiller pick suddenly become 'Genius' and we then consider him a success?

We need a 'Suh' or another monster Defensive player that can be a game changer. ---A player that Offenses have to game plan against.

I couldn't help but think of how good Flynn looked against New England recently. I was hoping the difference between Flynn and Brohm was negligible and Brohm would have been produced 'something' on the field. I was wrong. I too have seen enough.

I agree. We 'should have' theoretically kept this close as we did against solid teams, considering the jets started their second stringers. The only factor that should have worked against us today, was the fact that our back-up QB(s) were starting. ----It's hard to believe that worked against us in the form of 31 points and 5 ints.

The Bills will take the field and try to win this game but somehow will find a way to lose. Why does everyone think we can pick and choose (prior to kickoff) whether or not we want to win or lose a game?...... Like we can magicallly 'turn it on' at will.

Your all jokes! I'm angry at the dropped pass as well but I'm not ready to burn him at the stake. The guy leads the team in catches, yards and TD's. He had 3 TD's just last week and challenges the elite WR's of the league for WR stats. He had a bad game, a very bad game. If the coaches didn't trust him nor his ability, sure handed Evans would have been running that route. Nobody expected a 'W' this week but the Bills (as a whole) played a great game against a Tier 1 NFL team. The NFL took notice.

Actually, after three years of play Trent Edwards was President and Obama was the Bills QB! Yes, Obama was Prez all three years that I went to the Superbowl. The celebration and clips were the same as well. However, I heard that each team has specific narration relating to the team. I recorded the celebration with my digital camera......I use it as inspiration when I'm feeling blue. Usually Sunday evenings.

San Diego and Buffalo are unique in different ways. Two copletely different geographical locations, populations, industries, climates and each play a different role in their states' best interests. Comparing Apples to oranges. At least when in Buffalo you don't hear much about our 'friends up North' illegally crossing the border, kidnapping, gun running, drug smuggling and human trafficing.

I agree. We played some games close this year but they seemed to get away from us in the second half(GB). Then some got away in the 4th quarter (NE). Then we lost one early in OT (BAL).....and finally lost one with a few seconds left in OT (KC). If this is a trend, we should win one this week in regualtion. Minus the first two weeks, our team is moving the ball. I'm sad that our Defense is not creating opportunities through Int's and sacks/fumbles. We could put up another 10 points a game if we had last years defense.

I can agree with this. ---Your observations are what most Back-ups do. Look at our roster, is there anyone more worthy of starting? Every fan gets dissapointed with their QB play from time to time and can scruitinize their play. Fitz and his recent accomplishments of 'resurrecting' Evans and propeling Stevie Johnson's career so that he has become a weekly mention on the NFL channel are something that noone else on our roster has accomplished. Fitz is not the Franchize answer but he is adequate for now, all things considered, week eight, 0-7, etc etc.... When we bring in a Franchize QB, Fitz should remain as the seviceable 'back-up' that he is. Or is the Alphadawg going to argue this meager point as well?
