  1. Too long, although I agree with a lot of your points. But I will say this to a few of your points: 2) Brohm can *not* start now. He will have had a week and a half to prepare and he would be behind the worst line in all of football. That's an absolute recipe for disaster. 3) Poz is too slow to play OLB, IMO. He'd have to cover more on the outside, and I don't think that plays to his strengths. For better or worse, I think he's an MLB. Just not an elite one. 4) I actually agree with most of that except for Bell. I'm not sold on him from what I've seen, and we have no real depth. I liked the signing of Jamon Meredith, and between him and Bell SOMEONE should be a serviceable LT, but maybe not. But Levitre/Hangartner/Wood/Butler seems solid enough to me. The new regime has to decide whether to go with Bell, Meredith, or seek out an LT in draft. I still wish we had gotten Orlando Pace when he was available - he didn't look all that bad tonight against Philly. 8) I will neither shut up nor admit anything. But this is already being discussed (and obviously has been at great lengths): http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=102039. 9(a?)) I think Maybin is getting a lot of playing time. He's just not very good. But I agree that we have to see what he's made of. Otherwise we still need a DE. 9(b?)) Saw the Chiefs highlights and from what I could see it was full, but it was hard to tell. Nobody goes to Jacksonville games. I think the Oakland game was blacked out too, and I know the Chargers are having a very difficult time selling out. We might be a "small-market" team, but don't let that be confused with attendance.
  2. Brown did get a few real solid bull-rushes on ol' FatBoy. If I'm paying a guy $11M+/year he better not give up two sacks and take two penalties a game. This is ignoring him sitting out due to a 'mild' ankle sprain.
  3. You forgot the peg-leg possibility. And don't forget, Vick had a similar injury a few years ago - fractured fibia and tibula. I'm sure they'll have to put rods/screws in it and it'll be painful as hell, but I think he'll be back next season without a doubt. He's young and although big, in phenomenal shape compared to the rest of society.
  4. Finally somebody gets it. You don't cut a 23 year-old blue chip RB for a 28 year-old Division III RB, I don't care who's running better right now.
  5. You should have let the Bills know. Apparently they thought they had held MJD to just 66 yards on 25 carries today. And they scored on a pass, so I'm not sure how having "the worst run defense in the NFL" has anything to do with it. You want to leave the ball in the hands of Ryan Fitzpatrick behind a line of Jonathan Scott, Andy Levitre ®, Geoff Hangartner, Kirk Chambers, and Jamon Meredith ®? Please send me whatever you're smoking.
  6. Not on this team. Not when we don't have a way of getting him the ball. But I believe he's a top WR in this league. We also had to pay him more to stay on a bad team, and his value is a little higher for being a good teammate. However WR is a dependent position. With no consistent play at the quarterback position it's a little more difficult to evaluate. Tackle is not.
  7. Nice tripping penalty there too. Care to retract your bull **** statement BeastMode??
  8. Because putting a guy with confidence issues behind arguably the worst line in the league is beyond stupid. If you want him to develop, throwing him to the wolves isn't how to go about doing it.
  9. That alone should let you know how bad of an idea it is...
  10. I didn't say Bell, Chambers, Scott, or Walker were better than him. But the point still stands; he's not even close to being worth what he's being paid. You just said you'd rather have a guy giving up 2 sacks/game and one false start/game. It's pretty obvious that your opinions need to be taken with a grain of salt.
  11. You'd take a guy who gave up 32 sacks and took 16 false start penalties over the course of the season and we don't know what we're talking about? Get a clue, dude. For the record, he isn't 'mauling' anybody this game. Stop watching it with rose-colored glasses.
  12. Exactly. You have to take what you can get. To be vindicated on the Peters trade is a moral victory (albeit a small one at this point). By the way, if Briggs didn't get McNabb there, Alex Brown, who went right around Peters, definitely would have.

  14. Agreed, although that's ultimately irrelevant. The reputation of Buffalo management (and more importantly, opinionated Bills fans) rests on the performance of this man. Sure, in an ideal world, we'd leave it alone. But it's not happening any time soon.
  15. This is a terrible idea. You do realize we're playing with a backup quarterback behind a patchwork line, and haven't exactly lit up the scoreboard this year?
  16. I know this has been done to death, but I'm watching the Eagles game right now, and Peters just got beaten twice for one sack and one near-sack. The first was on a bull-rush, the second he got beaten around. I saw him get beaten earlier for another near sack. I know our line is in complete disarray, and Peters is certainly better than anything we have at LT at the moment, but he is not a $60M tackle, I don't care what anybody says.
  17. This is a terrible idea. Take a guy who's got confidence issues and put him behind our line after only having a week and a half to learn the playbook. But it was only a matter of time until it was brought up I suppose.
  18. On MNF "throwing the ball up and hoping for pass interference" was Gruden's 'strategy' for an offensive attack by Cleveland. Did anybody else catch that?
  19. "Former quarterback and current headset technician Trent Edwards and 1st round hair stylist Aaron Maybin look on apparently unaware that between them, former child star Gary Coleman had suited up and prepared to enter the game."
  20. We're not getting a top five pick. There's no way we leapfrog Detroit, Oakland, Tampa, St. Louis, or Cleveland. KC is in the running, so is Jersey/B (especially if we beat them in Toronto). Seattle and Carolina too, and maybe Chicago if they continue to spiral downward. We can be as high as #6, or as low as #11...again.
  21. 10 x 0 is still 0...
  22. that is an excellent point
  23. Yeah, I was watching it till I got the old bull **** "due to contractual obligations we must switch to the beginning of the Jets/Patriots game."
