if KC gets him, thread makes 250. If Bills get him, thread to INFINITY and beyond!

i really dont see KC getting him......i believe the fly in the ointment is Dhop not ready to take a pay cut.....thats whats holding up a deal

if KC was willing to pay top $ for a WR they would have kept tyreek

  2. other than QB, i guess you can justify bills need to improve the roster at every position. especially if you start worrying about 2024

with Phillips’ re-signing, that gives the Bills eight defensive tackles currently under contract. Top four are  Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle and Phillips.

is DT a need ahead of OL, WR2, TE2, MLB ?

not for my money, at least not until day 3

  3. Dhops total cap hit for the next 2 years combined is $57 mil......if they cut him this year. the dead cap is $22.6 mil which could be spread out over 2023 & 2024

it would hurt, but absent a trade.....he's getting cut. expect the cards to wait til the last possible moment and do dhop dirty. no one will have the cap space to add him.

dhop has no guaranteed money remaining on his current deal. its probably in his best interest to make nice with AZ and stay. not sure why he's making waves. i dont see him getting paid more anywhere else.

Bills Trade Proposal Lands DeAndre Hopkins and No. 3 overall Pick from Arizona for Rising Star and multiple draft picks

    https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/bills-trade-deandre-hopkins-gregory-rousseau/

this is never happening, but fun to consider..

i would actually do this. then with the #3 i would trade down to a QB needy team, still inside top 10, recoup a pick(at least a 2nd)  and take the best OT

then i would wind up with an Elite WR#1A and a  cornerstone OT

protect josh AND give him a weapon....the year of the offense

shake things up....thats going for it

There's not much quality difference between the top 4 or 5 teams.   You need to be good enough to get in the mix and then lucky enough to have some things go your way.

Health is the biggest factor IMO and we lost Von Miller, Daquan Johnson (a great year for us)  and our secondary was devastated. We were playing Jaquan Johnson the Terrible (if it's not his name it should be), Not-On-Our-Team Dean Marlow, and Practice Squad Cam Lewis.   Their offense controlled the game while ours couldn't step up that game.

Sure our team has some flaws.   Our OL was shockingly bad with Saffold and Brown getting regularly beat like a red-headed stepchild. Our WRs and DEs under-performed. Our backup safeties weren't as good as expected.  (Jaquan Johnson the Terrible I'm especially looking at you)

We are good enough. Our record shows that we're good enough.  Let's fix our weaknesses (OL please!) as best we can and kick their asses next year.

    Nailed it !!....well said

  7. SAFETIES:

    DERWIN JAMES, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

    TYRANN MATHIEU, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

    JIMMIE WARD, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

    JEREMY CHINN, CAROLINA PANTHERS

    DARNELL SAVAGE, GREEN BAY PACKERS

    KYLE DUGGER, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

    JAYRON KEARSE, DALLAS COWBOYS

    LINEBACKERS:

     FRED WARNER, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
     DARIUS LEONARD, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
     DEMARIO DAVIS, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
     ERIC KENDRICKS, MINNESOTA VIKINGS

     MATT MILANO, BUFFALO BILLS

  8. we have something of extreme value (josh) who is guarding something of extreme value (the ball).

on every single play there are some very big dangerous men with bad intentions trying to hurt, maim or send our thing of value to the hospital.

yet many are content to not properly invest, guard or protect our thing of extreme value on every single play.

instead they would rather hire little people who are far away from the thing of value and use them on an occasional basis.

Josh is the man. Whatever problems buffalo has aint on him.

Its coaching and spending too much draft capital on defense + missing on a lot of offensive draft picks + being terrible evaluators of talent like letting wyatt teller go for peanuts (and now maybe hodgins?)

I could go on, but you get the picture.

Brady won with belichick, mahommes wins with reid. If josh wins, itll be in spite of mcdermott.

I am not saying brady wasnt ***** withoht belichick of course he would still have been good maybe even won some but he became the GOAT because he fit well with belichick and belichick took full advantage of what he had in brady.

Same exact goes for mahommes and reid. Mahommes is great of course, but reid maximizes his full potential he knows what he has on his hands and not letting it go to waste.

Mcdermott on the other hand i think is totally clueless about offense and leaves other people figure it out. Reid and Bill will be HOF coaches. Mcdermott I am just not seeing it.

Josh allen gave mcdermott the best playoff performance in NFL history and this coach still found a way to lose.

Just sayin' lets keep the josh slander to a minimum the only "gap" is a coaching one.

boom, i agree...for my money, josh is the best player in the league.....doing the most with the least support on offense.

i would like to add/point out the value and importance of the most under rated and over looked position.....that being TE.

the GOAT brady had gronk....in NE & TB......what happened when gronk retired

the consensus(not by me)  current #1 qb mahomes has kelce....not a coincidence

Well, I would think that's a bit of a stretch....when you say Knox is just average and below average blocker, makes me wonder that you may not be considering the whole picture into account and just taking this last season as conclusion for this opinion.

I'm not saying he's top notch level with Kelce/Andrews etc....however I definitely think he is a little above average at the least. Also I think his blocking is better than you think. I can see if you had stated he's about average as a blocker, but not below average.

i stand corrected on knox blocking...did a little digging. according to PFF he is better than most at blocking (by my eye he's game, but gets pushed around alot)

Knox finished the year ranked 22nd among tight ends with a 64.3 receiving grade.

his 7.6% drop rate was tied for the third highest.

he ranked fourth with a 66.5 run-blocking grade

his 8.4% positive run-block rate placed fifth.

Out of the 30 tight ends who stayed in to pass protect at least 40 times in 2022, Knox earned a 10th-place ranking with a 65.6 pass-blocking grade after surrendering just two pressures on 46 pass-block reps.

i'm somewhere between pleasantly surprised and  shocked......i guess i need to look at some other TE blocking a lil closer...they must get really pushed around
