  1. smerlas is a rough and tumble dude, cannot see him "fitting in " with the likes of pelosi and that male brothel running guy , barny frank!.. DONT THINK SO!
  2. here here!, nothing would please me , or serve the area more , would be for smerlas to run and beat that old bag!
  3. to be honest, this is the first i have heard of that. i can see bashing the team, for crissakes, it is done on here non-stop!. as for the city or fans, news to me. if he does run, i am sure his bashing of the area will have be addressed. there is no comparing mcGahee to smerlas! fred smerlas was a warrior as a player!, mcGahee, come on!
  4. i have no access to new england radio, so i would not know anything about his 'ALLEGED BUFFALO BASHING", last time i heard him on the radio was a few years ago when he was featured on the pre-game show on 97 rock. just do not understand the "lack of love" for a former bill, who was a blue collar guy thru and thru..
  5. a classic case of missing the point. i made a case for nbc being otta touch, never mentioned, or inferred anything about B O.
  6. i went to my first game in 1960 at the rockpile, saw the vertical striped socks that the broncos wore. season tickets in the 70's. as drew rosenhaus would say:"next question"
  7. not sure how smerlas is a traitor, thats all!, did he do something illegal?, or is he a "traitor" because of political idealogy?
  8. just curious, how is he a traitor?
  9. per the hamburg sun...MEYER'S MUSINGS: Congressman Fred Smerlas? It just may happen this fall By: DANIEL MEYER SUN EDITOR There’s been some chatter in recent weeks at the counters of a few coffee shops and in the produce section of some grocery stores in Massachusetts that should soon reach the taverns and barbershops of Western New York that may intrigue voters in this region. With many taxpayers expressing frustration over the way their representatives in Congress handled the recent health care reform legislation, the effort by local Republicans to produce quality candidates to challenge Brian Higgins and Louise Slaughter this fall is expected to heat up in the coming weeks. One name being batted around as a possible opponent to either Higgins or Slaughter is Fred Smerlas, a former nose tackle who was a popular player during his time spent as a defender for the Buffalo Bills. A native of Waltham, Mass., the five-time Pro Bowl selection played 14 seasons in the NFL. Smerlas has always had an interest in politics, including a brief flirtation three years ago with a possible run for a congressional seat in Massachusetts, something he supposedly thought long and hard about before bowing out of the race. My sources say Smerlas is very serious about moving his family back to Western New York and has even had some preliminary discussions with a local real estate agent and several conversations with some of his former teammates who live in the Buffalo area about possible purchasing property here.
  10. that certainly is cause for concern, but i am assuming the line will be better(could not be any worse), and, the bills upgrade at wr
  11. i would offer a second and whitner, or lynch, i think philly needs help at both those positions..
  12. just want an attitude!.. he brings that, i hope this is true.. want "nasty"
  13. JE-ZUZ!, his bio sister!, that is cause for concern, no matter how you slice it!, i want the bills to win more than anybody, pretty much open-minded at off field indiscretions, but that makes me pause...
  14. why would you say that?, i thought the guy offered an opinion, made some observations.. why the mean comment?
  15. living in the philly area the past year and half has exposed me to eagles coverage, goes year round. the people here do not think highly of andrews, glad to see him go. that being said, not sure of his viabilty for the bills. the fans in philly are generally miserable and judging a player on how they feel about him may not be accurate.
  16. no complaints.. both quality signings, i think the fans were antsy, but now we all feel better
  17. that is commendable, but my point is that how many men do that , men who are not in the limelight such as warren. what makes warren so special?, not trying to sound like a hard guy here, but it is commendable, but it should be the norm, not something to be set apart from real people in the real world.
  18. i think it should be a given , not something to be applauded.its akin to making a big deal about an absentee father paying child support!..
  19. my dislike for new england trancends anything that might be viewed as a "positive" in a life choice by a player. i hate that team , their coach, their owner, their fans. i dont give a sh-t about anything but the bills kicking their ass!.. i just want it to happen..
  20. unfortunately, that is THEIR choice!..
  21. per PFT, he is absent from the first day of off-season workouts..
  22. i for one , am very pissed!, how much does wilson need? he has bled every friggin nickel out of the market, now the truth be told.. HE WOULD BE UNDER THE MINIMUM FLOOR, CEILING , he doesnt give a sh-t about winning!.. just keep the $'s rolling in!
  23. totally understand, but you have to admit, sometimes the most innocuous statement or opinion can take one there. i think it is a compliment to this site. nobody lacks for an opinion, and while our common love for the bills is apparent, alot of people on here are very well informed. i like that aspect of this site.
