I guess being young and healthy didn't protect him like he thought

So , after he plays it out , meaning do whatever he supposed to do until he clears , i think it actually did "help him"

See my other post to understand why I am emerging from this heartbreaking loss actually optimistic:   What I saw, and why I am actually optimistic after this Bucs game

I could be wrong on this, and that is fine if I am...but I honestly am quite confident that we will win out looking at our schedule and based on what I said in the thread linked above.  Obviously, Pats game on paper is our toughest test over the final 4 games, but I think if the weather isn't as big of a factor as it was the first game that we will beat them decisively, especially if the offense we showed in the 2nd half of the Bucs game is here to stay.

Panthers, Falcons, and Jets are all teams I expect to win by double digits.

NOTE:  All of this assumes Josh misses no time with the turf toe.

As someone who doesnt dissect every thread title and content, i appreciate this thread.. i like and share your optimism..

We’ve been dealing with the refs all season. They’ve been bad to the point of corruption. If the refs have an ulterior motive not favoring us, it makes our victory more difficult , but not impossible.

I agree , in all my years of watching NFL football , this year has been very exasperating watching the Officials  ruin games. Its a shame that as a fan, your mindset is as much consumed with the officiating as it is hoping one's team plays well, wins..

Some have.  I'm blanking on the name, but during a year when the Bills were horribly hurting for QB.....I guess it was EJM's rookie year? 2013?  We started Jeff Tuel and Thad Lewis at QB....anyway we tried to sign a QB from someone's practice squad and he said "Nope, Thanks, I'm Good!"

Also it used to be a team could choose to pay a PS player more $$ and I don't think the PS salaries counted against the cap.

Now they count, and it's a standard one rate of pay for rookies and another for vets.

Thank you for clarifying .. never knew that .. assumed they just had to go

Yes, PS players are essentially Free Agents and can sign (or decline to sign) with any team.

But the Giants must pay him 3 weeks regular roster money, which is $43k/game or a minimum of $130k.

As a practice squad guy, he earns $9,200/week

So if he stays on their roster only 3 weeks then reverts to a practice squad somewhere, that's an extra $101k

Guy just got married, that would be serious money to turn down

Did not know that.. have yet to hear a PS player ever turning down , or having the opportunity , to so .

Very questionable and shortsighted career move by Fromm. He had a good chance to be the long-term primary backup for a winning organization starting next year. Puzzling as I'm not sure how this helps him except for very short-term financial gain. Now, he goes to a very unstable situation, likely facing offseason upheaval.

    Did he have  a  choice?

I know I've commented on this before, but Steve Tasker was a human missile wearing a helmet! I've always felt that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He was the best at his position for many years, and Hall of Fame coaches have admitted to game planning around him on Special Teams. I wished that he had been utilized more as a wide receiver, because he would have probably already been inducted by now in my opinion.

I think he gets in.. should not have taken this long .

    1. for the benefit of all — do we really need 20 threads bitching about how

    the game sucked

    Coaching sucked

The O line was a turnstile

    2. Why not post this in the original thread?

    3. If it was locked there must have been a reason.

In all honesty , i never noticed if  said topic has  been covered in a previous "thread" im retired , not busy, but when i see a topic , i get on read it, not preoccupied if its been discussed before ..
