Yes, it's regimented, but in some ways it's an example of the way people SHOULD behave during the pandemic, instead of the way we ARE behaving.   Everything is really well organized, you can call the Bills with any questions.   I had my test at the stadium this morning - no lines.  In fact, I was 15 minutes early, no problem.  Come on in.  Zip, zip, zip and you're done.

On the other hand, it's a measure of what can be accomplished when you spend money on it.   The whole operation seems over-staffed, because the Bills and the NFL want it all to go right.

The country is having trouble rolling out the vaccine and getting it into people's arms, and I just don't see that it has to be that difficult to do.   If the Bills can test 6,000 people in two mornings without breaking a sweat, ten similar operations around Buffalo should be able to vaccinate 30,000 people a day.   Do that all over the country, and we'll be running out of vaccine, not worrying about it going bad in freezers somewhere.

"We are behaving" not sure i get the "gist" i see people wearing masks , social distancing , my simple point .. it seems way too regulated , thats all.. "time to get there"  get tested? how could they not "get it right" .. anyway.. i heard its 15 dollars for a beer .. true?

And the standing buffalo uniform remains the best...

While I respect the 1960 uniforms which look like Detroit, I'm not interested in seeing those.

I agree the standing Buffalo mid sixties uniforms are the best ! I am old enough to remember the original ones.. At the time i didnt realize it , but they certainly were like the Lions.. Ralph , being from Detroit , probably had a bias.. but the silver helmet , in a way , was kind of classic in retrospect..

Ralph Wilson’s Family were part owners of the Lions at the time. Thus, the Detroit look. Let it die.

  3. Thank you! like a few oldtimers on here, i attended  my first game with my father at WMS in 1960 as an 8 yr old .and loved every inch, smell of the old place! When the Bisons came back in 1979 to play AA ball in the eastern league , went just because it gave me a chance to go to WMS again. Growing up in south Buffalo. i was able to ride my bike to the regency in Blasdell to watch them in camp.. again.. thanks for posting!

    Easy.

The ‘Hit heard ‘round the World’. Mike Stratton’s rib crushing smackdown on Keith Lincoln in the ‘64 Title Game. We were a huge home underdog. The Chargers took the Opening kickoff and easily raced down field to a 7-0 lead. We weren’t in their League. They were the defending Champs and had played in 3 Championships already. Then..

    it happened.

Certainly cant argue with that.. i would submit , upon reflection , that IS the ONE!

The rest, as they say, is History.

In the Week 8 NFL rankings on SI.Com

    https://www.si.com/nfl/talkoffame/nfl/rick-gosselins-week-8-nfl-rankings-all-afc-at-the-top

    In the Bills ranking
    8. Buffalo Bills. (9) The Bills dealt with Patrick Mahomes this season. They dealt with Aaron Donald and Derrick Henry. But the one person they cannot deal with is referee Carl Cheffers. Buffalo has drawn the Cheffers crew for two of its seven games. He issued the Bills 10 penalties for 56 yards in the Tennessee game, then assessed 11 penalties for 106 yards last weekend in the Jets game. That’s 21 penalties in two games. The Bills have had only two double-digit penalty games all season. Their AFC East rival, the Patriots, have been penalized just 15 times in six games this season.

Not following close enough to verify this - but is it really just blaming the refs or bad coaching? If it was bad coaching wouldn't it show up more in other games also?

IMHO, I thought officiating was questionable in the last three games . when the season started it seemed refreshing that officiating didnt seem an issue , but as the season wore on, more flags.. and at crucial times in the previous three games/.

Its not an overaction at all. Its statistically improbable how inept we have been and we’ve seen too many John McCargos, Torell Troups, JP Losmans, Trent Edwards, TJ Grahams, etc to not think that the guys we high hopes for are all busts. This was suppose to be the year we were contenders and were no where near ready

TJ Graham.. Russell Wilson was there.. i know shoulda coulda .. maybe it was Torell Troupe , but one of those two guys we took ahead of Wilson. but we seemed to miss alot.. Donte  Whitner , wont bore .. we all know .. but still; haunts to an   extent

So it sounds like he sold the bar a year or two ago...does anybody know what happened to him?  Sounds like he might have been fighting an illness for awhile.  Sad news regardless

i think he must have purchased it from the people who owned that were there at first.. in 73..

I haven't seen any talk of this anywhere but I saw on Twitter recently the owner/founder of the Big Tree Inn passed away.  I didn't know him personally but I did get a chance to shoot the ***** with him for awhile when I was in there one night.  Great guy, I was sad to hear about this news.  The Big Tree is a staple in Buffalo Bills history.  Does anybody know what happened and if there are plans for the bar to continue to operate or is this pretty much the end of the Big Tree?

Back in the day, (73 -74) it was the only  bar really in the vicinity of the stadium.. tailgating was nothing back then like it is now, my buddies and me would go in there , place was overwhelmed with people. , just a small bar , with a back room.. it really evolved , to say the least  sorry to  hear of the passing of the owner , cant remember

his name  maybe rudy?  could be wrong

He was going by Ahmad Rashad at that point. I was pumped when they traded for him; pairing him up with OJ, Fergy, Chandler and J D Hill. Ironically the Bills lost both Gary Hayman and Rashad in the 1976 expansion supplemental draft.

Thanks.. but i thought Rashad just left in  FA.. Again.. cant remember that either!
