Bills Draft '09 Update: Buffalo clinches no worse than 11th with a loss now because of San Diego's win today. Since San Francisco won, we can get 10th or 9th next week if Green Bay wins... that's all I have left.

If you remember, all of those you mentioned were not worth the money they sought, and we were right in not overpaying for them, as will be the case with Peters. Jason Peters is not Will Wolford, or even a John Fina... he's a guy that is not a team player, not a stud, and someone will unceremoniously overpay for the guy. You may THINK signing Peters is the right move, but many of us completely disagree. We have lost the last 9 years because of our QUARTERBACK position, and everyone knows it. You could have had AIKMAN's o-line back there, and Losman, Bledsoe, Rob Johnson, Flutie, et al. STILL would have failed. Why is that so hard to see?

I think getting rid of him is the best 'cheap' deal we could hope for in a trade... he's obviously selfish due to his inexplicable holdout, we didn't do a good job of running the ball at all with him in there, and his comments of late aren't very smart and open a window into his mentality of "as long as I get paid, I don't care about winning." For once, trading is a great option, and let someone else overpay for his services. We need to draft lineman and target them in free agency with discretion, like we did when we were successful.

Well then, if you are going to rant about something, at least don't say you're going to never 'pay to see him' when he's not an actor really- his small bits in Trading Places and certain other movies are not his claim to fame. I mean, if you are going to dislike a person, then stick to the personality- if you are going to bring up his body of work and mischaracterize it, then I'm going to say something. I intensely dislike Rosie O Donnell for her personality, and her body of work to me is lousy, but I'm not going to call her something she really isn't.

It wasn't about gaining yards, though.. it was about: 1. Chewing up clock. 2. Forcing the Jets to come from behind with a long field. 3. Using our defense, which had made the Jets offense inept after the 1st quarter, stop them. 4. We stop them, and win the game. To me, it is clear cut... who cares if running was obvious? Time management dictates you run, ESPECIALLY if your line had dominated like ours did.

And it is especially dumb when your quarterback is J.P. Losman, a guy you KNOW doesn't take care of the football very well- to me that is the biggest point of all. A coach like Jauron should KNOW better, but he doesn't. That's why they both should rightfully be boiled over this.
