  1. The Lynch debate bothers me, and I LOVED to watch him run, never went down on the first hit but Jackson was better. It was frustrating to watch him get chance after chance while Freddy sat. Every time Freddy had a shot he out performed Lynch. He was a jerk, and the second best Back on the team, making best back money. bubye.
  2. Hhhhmmmm. not me. reminds me of the lions, minus the QB, of last year more than the bills of the late 90's. Big rookie dl. good defensive FA'S, solid young wr(megatron>stevie right now) spiller/best.
  3. Although what Vick did is much worse, he seems genuinely contrite. Plax...not so much. Never understood the extreme reaction to Stalworth's accident, he would have hit that guy if he were sober, the dude ran directly in front of him according to eye witnesses. He also blew a .12, drunk but not wasted. Not ok to drive either. The difference from Plax's situation is the laws of the locality that the crime took place. NYC has strict gun laws, Florida has drive through drink stands. Aaron Maybin deserves a mention here, dude celebrated if he was near a tackle. And Ricky Williams? Not a DB. he made choices that hurt no one, and probably prolonged his career. Don't get that one. BR may take the cake of the names mentioned. Vick had a bad upbringing and was not taught right from wrong. Just look at who defended him when it was all going down, all guys raised in similar environments.
  4. I hate this thread. I agree with all the lists. I avoided this thread all day, sleepy now and poor judgement led me to click on this. Had the best calamari tonight at Trak's in RVA. Have a lot of home work. My post sucks, and has proven as much as negative. He sucks much worse than this post.
  5. subway has single handedly ruined subs for most of America. Most people think its a good sando, only us northeasterners truly know what a good sub is. And even back there there are plenty of people who think subway is good. I make the hour trek to F-burg to get a goo sub from WEGMANS.
  6. Uh oh, you got me. Guess you didn't see that I said sorry for the post being scattered, I was rushing. I should have been more specific. Sorry for not using my spell check, and rushing. See the difference is, I am some dude on my computer, they are supposed to be professionals. So Bills guy, next time i will be sure anything I post is seen by my editor first. And no Carey, I stopped listening as soon as Schoop brought up his Blog from the other day in which he set up his theory that they were being set up for a sale. So you are saying that Schoop said he does not believe what he wrote two days ago? or abruptly say 'what's your point?'
  7. So i was tricked into listening by the Stevie interview that turned out to be John Clayton. Clayton called stevie, Steve Nelson. Also schlep told clayton the fans are giving up. 6 or 7 guys all saying the same thing. First, Schlep is clearly on the salary dump train, not taking Lee's bonus into account. Chan said today on serius that the offer for lee was brought to them and he thought it would be a good time to let some young guys develop. then in the next breath Says the Bills should stop pretending like they are not rebuilding, even though they clearly are. UUmmm pretty sure buddy and chan both acknowledge that fact. They say Fitzy is unequivocally not the answer. Closing the link now. Goodbye wgr, until the next generation of hosts. sorry this is a little scattered, trying to type before i forget the crap they spew. now on with the round table, trying to say the team is being set up for a sale...lazy garbage journalism.
  8. Well, I deduced from your posts that you are more on the negative, maybe a buddy of sully, maybe something else. if i'm wrong, sorry. BTW, that's why i used parenthesis.
  9. no, we are referring to the people (like you i presume) who say only negative things and refuse to see any positives with their own team or town. Really, most home owners? I grew up in WNY, and most people i knew/saw used their garage for storage. Most would be well over 50% and that is definitely not the case. Maybe in your fancy subdivision it is true though. I must be really not looking forward to my homework when i see myself responding to comments like these.
  10. yep. who cares if the worst team in the league takes our garbage.
  11. Great, now i am gonna listen. I hope schoop makes a snide remark and Stevie gives him a verbal biotch slap.
  12. Cowheard didn't jump on the slam the bills bandwagon? was he ill today? As far as the Evans trade goes, would any answer be good enough for the Evans crowd?
  13. I can't believe this thread is so long. I only read the first page and have come to this conclusion: There are the billsfreak's of the world who only see progress in wins and losses, and there are the more thoughtful posters like PTR who can see the big picture. As I have stated in other posts, the team is clearly headed in the right direction. If we finish with the same record as last year, and the offense finishes 25th again(which I doubt it will be any worse than 20th, give Fitz the first three games last year we finish 23 or so instead of 25) and the defense does not give up 7000 yards on the ground, it means we are headed in the right direction. Fast enough? poop no, but what is fast enough? playoffs last year? even then the nancies of the board would be hatin'. Sully and at least Schoop need to both on the next barrel out of town if you catch my drift. JK all you sensitive types.
  14. I simply like them to gauge the national view of our team. They mean nothing. Any rankings that have us in the bottom three I feel are lazy assessments based on our record last season, not how we look going into next year. Our D is substantially better, and our O will not be worse than last year. That Makes us a better team this year.
  15. i have no opinion on banks, but at least he didn't take the easy way out with the bills and lump them in with the MORE floundering teams
  16. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/don_banks/09/07/pre.regular.season/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a2 The link above is to the SI power rankings by Don Banks. I feel this is a fair place for us to be ranked. How about you? haters commence.
  17. I really thought some one would have agreed with me about the '02 'Phins game....largest and most joyous crowd of people I had ever seen...And I saw micheal jackson in concert with 80,000 chineese people!
  18. absolutely not. Anyone who thinks otherwise is....uummmm well lets just call them severely misinformed on how a football season/game works.
  19. Agree with the OP about everything but the WR's I really liked who Lee was as a team member, but he was over rated by many Bills fans. All I needed to hear was Chan's assessment of him. He needs to run better routs. He was a 7 year vet, if they dont run good routs now, what will motivate them to do so? His best seasons came with one of our worst QB's in team history. And all of this preseason bashing of our other WR's is ridiculous. Have seen posts saying we the worst group in the league and that Jones was the worst #2 in the league. Couldn't the same have been said last year about Johnson? My point is, lets give it a game or two before we make this assertion.
  20. My favorite game day experience was the '02 game against the Dolphins. The teams were not great, but the atmosphere was unbelievable. I was in the nosebleeds with my loser neighbor who offered me a ticket in exchange for a ride to the game. Some time in the second quarter I could see a storm moving in, and when it got to the stadium it was like a tsunami of snow. The field was covered in minutes and 70,000 people were singing 'let it snow' at the tops of their lungs. The Dolphins looked stunned, and soon, disengaged. R. Williams lit the Bills up for over 200 yards but Ray Lucas had something like 7 or 8 turn overs, looked pathetic. The game was not close and the stand out play of the game for me happened before the snow. Seau was coming on a blitz and jumped over the line. Travis Henry caught him mid air and body slammed him, ending his day. Loser neighbor got lost after the game because all of the cars looked the same under the almost foot of snow that had fallen. He hitch hiked home, and i had to ride back home with his equally loser friend by myself. Second favorite game was the '03 opener vs. the Pats. I was living in N.E. at the time and called the win and was able to act like a dick Boston fan, giving them a taste of their own medicine. Naturally I am more grateful for those classic games of the early 90's but, these two games were personal for me.
  21. Any number of wins is possible, but the op is on the pipe. I think I am one of the optimistic fans until I see a post like this. Obviously if Brady goes down week one it makes 4-0 much more likely, but lets speak in "on paper" hypothetical. 2-2 is likely. 3-1 slightly less likely. 1-3, 0-4, and 4-0 are hard to imagine with this team. KC was a division champ, and a tough place to play, if you pencil that a victory, you had better at least have the eraser standing by. Losing to either Oak. or Cin. would be disappointing. Beating the Pats would be a miracle at this point. 09/11 @ Kansas City Chiefs would be a good win 09/18 Oakland Raiders should be a win 09/25 New England Patriots not happening 10/02 @ Cincinnati Bengals should win 10/9 Philadelphia Eagles not happening 10/16 @ New York Giants toss up 10/23 Bye 10/30 Washington Redskins (Tor) should win 11/06 New York Jets should lose 11/13 @ Dallas Cowboys would be good 11/20 @ Miami Dolphins should win 11/27 @ New York Jets Toss up 12/04 Tennessee Titans should win 12/11 @ San Diego Chargers Should lose 12/18 Miami Dolphins Should Win 12/24 Denver Broncos Should Win 1/01 @ New England Patriots Should Lose I see a 6-10 win team this year unless something major happens. 6 wins if we only win what we should, 10 if we pull out the toss ups and tough wins. We are not a bottom feeder this season, we are definitely not the shark either though.
  22. So much to respond to...i will keep it brief. Pessimism is bred in good ole WNY. I moved away to escape it. And before i get attacked, i realize there are many examples of optimistic peeps in WNY. Not every one is a negative nancy. Look at deep2evens, perfect example of over reaching to be negative. I don't care who you are, you can say you knew all these busts we have had were gonna be busts, but you'd be wrong, you didn't know. you guessed. The only thing i don't get is the lumping in of past suckiness into buddy's tenure. Like the wars and the debt were inherited by obama, but they are his now, therefore his fault. new beginnings means optimism, and to me, we seem to have direction for the first time in years. Ask me at the end of the season.
  23. Edwards is a stud. This is a huge over statement. He had one really good season, and three pretty good seasons out of 7. The dude doesn't get it, he has not gone a year with out off field troubles. you can have him, just don't give him a Bills jersey.
