  1. "I can't believe there is any way he can start" ... now he is saying it is Rex just trying to keep things interesting. Come On!
  2. "EJ Gets Start, WGR Streaming Goes Down" should be the story on the front of the sport page of tomorrow's paper lol
  3. This is probably true/ However, people who give EJ unlimited excuses need to do the same.
  4. This is it from him ... no commentary Joe Buscaglia ‏@JoeBuscaglia 2h2 hours ago #Bills HC Rex Ryan: EJ Manuel will start against Pittsburgh
  5. IDK REX has said it is possible they keep all three.
  6. @ChrisTrapasso Each #Bills QB had bad misses/off days. When I was at camp, EJ was most accurate/decisive 3/4 days. Showed most advanced QB'ing in preseason @JeremyWGR: Can't figure how to feel. I don't care who wins the job. Very odd that a start goes to the guy clearly in third place. #KillThePreseason Any one see a difference in these two? Please tell me that there is not a bias against EJ.
  7. I am not sure anyone is offended. I truly do not care if they are bias(which from an objective view point I would say they are) or not. Just be honest about it and do not try and pretend to be objective or using empirical data.
  8. This isn't an endorsement of EJ starting it more a concern about TT. I feel that there is the "shiny new toy" syndrome. He is the great choice mainly because he hasn't had an opportunity to fail like the other two. TT may be the best option I am just wondering if there is a less critical eye because of the lack of actual playing time. If/When he stumbles will the fans turn on him or let him play through any issues that may arise. EJ didnt get a long rope so ...
  9. I think it is funny that we are discussing bias an empricial data to make informed opinions and then WGR post this gem: Regardless of how you feel about Taylor, Manuel, or Cassel that fact that they need the merge the data to come up with this picture is a tad disturbing. Without EJ's TD passes or Without Cassel's completion 5 or without Taylor's running this picture looks completely different, no?
  10. It is not that they are reporting he is not getting reps. Matt Simms is probably not getting reps too. It is the way they cover the reps he does get. One can be objective and see that the other QBs are reported on differently. That is the point. Again bias is often unknown by those doing it. I have stated I do not care who starts, but the media harping on EJ for every mistake, for the most part, while hardly mentioning the other 3 QBs failing is what stands out to me. There is no attempt to ask other questions as to why he may be performing badly. i.e could it be the quality of the player he is taking reps with(3rd string), not having time to'click' with first team getting so few reps, is it that he has never had to learn a new offense and it may take him longer to adjust. Maybe every thing is his fault when he throws an errand pass, but come on the "throwing into the media tent" was what decided his fate for many and most likely is more complex than "He sucks". I bet this is a different answer than if EJ should have an opportunity with the 1s
  11. But Cassel has doesn't have any negatives in his background? People are not apologizing for EJ ... please point to all the EJ should be the starter posts. They are talking, especially in this discussion, about how bias the media in there coverage of him.
  12. You obviously have a stake in being proven right about your feeling the EJ is not going to happen. Your zeal for the inverse is the same as those who want Tebow or EJ to succeed.
  13. This is what really shows the bias that I just do not know how some others do not see it. When the other 2 miss their targets there is a stat of 7/10 or 8/9 but usually the amount of yards EJ missed by is called out. I would have to thing there are times its there receivers fault but Blamed on EJ because its him throwing. I also do not care who starts as long as they perform well. If Rex and the coaches already made up their minds I am good with it, but to complain that the fans want to see what EJ can do with the best players on the team(when, according to Rex it's a wide open competition still) seems silly of the staff at WGR.
  14. Rex says that determination has not been made yet. That is what I am forming the premise on. If that is not true he should not have wasted any reps for EJs and the ones this week either. We will see what happens Saturday.
  15. If you play all three with the first team there is no way one could arrive at that conclusion. There are 3 qtrs that the starters will likely play in and there is no reason that all three couldn't take a turn. That of course is only if Rex is being honest and its still anyone's job to win.
  16. Give him a shot with the first time is not him starting week one. There seems to be a disconnect between the two side as if he plays in a preseason game for evaluation it means he has to be the starter. I do not see how you can jump to that conclusion and I don't think that is what the "getting a chance" crowd is saying.
  17. So their website brings up this issue with the poll they discuss the result that they don't like and then belittle callers for expressing why they agree with the results? Again I am not really sure why there is such an uproar about EJ perhaps getting time with the first team against the Steelers. The worst outcome for the anti EJ crowd is what? he plays really well? If he is as bad as he is said to be by the media and certain fans he should be shown for how bad he is and the debate will end.
  18. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/bills-news-notes/2015/3/18/8236345/tyrod-taylor-contract-details-buffalo-bills-qb-nfl-free-agency-2015
  19. Not saying it is wrong, but that is a third party depth chart not one produced by the Bills, correct?
  20. lol that is true ... nothing annoys me more than their "Drafts" or "More than" shticks ... talk about horrible material they do not want to miss out on those by exchanging pleasantries.
  21. I am pretty sure they do this because they have made comments in the past they don't like to waste time with being asked that 100 times a day. I seem to remember a show years ago where schopp hung up on a caller of two because they kept doing it after he asked them to stop. I think since its natural to ask the first question they just say that to get the process moving.
  22. I think a lot of it is that he may be blamed for what could be the short coming of the players around him. We do not know. I really do not know if EJ is good or not because I am only told of his mistakes for the most part. I would like to see the same rhetoric toward the other two or none at all. I think that is the biggest problem with WGR and the fact they can not tell they are doing is almost as annoying.
  23. But they can for Cassel or Give TT a pass because he has never has an opportunity. I personally could care less about who the starter is as long as they perform well, but regardless of the side people are arguing there are ridiculous assumptions begin thrown around. The question is does he deserve time with the 1s for part of a preseason game to show whether he is any better, worse or the same as other two. I don't know if deserves is the best word, but if I were the coach I would want to know and I would want the fans to see, so there was not a call later in the season for "Hey give him a chance". If he performs poorly you have your answer and can argue that he should not be in there if the other 2 are having issues. If he performs well then you can show he made progress and deserves whatever spot you put him at. I really do not see a downside of him playing a quarter or part of a quarter against and with the first teams.
