  1. Guy is jacked... http://www.powertrainsports.com/combine-tr...php#aaronmaybin
  2. with Nelson we now have 5 of Gosselin's top 60 players... not bad considering how accurate he is w/ his rankings
  3. In today's draft notes column, he says the Bills will go pass rush at 11 and then TE or OL w/ the other 1st rounder
  4. If I remember correctly from my ticket selling days, the end seat varies due to the section size and some sections get wider as they get higher. Just give the ticket office a call and they will help you out... good people over there
  5. wow, I can't count the number of time Kelsay was pushed down the line of scrimmage by the other team's OT or how he would always chase the QB on play action and lose his outside contain... Denney was infinitely better, and that isn't saying much. A bag of footballs would be a steal for Kelsay
  6. When you get a good player, you have to pay them.... You want to keep pro bowl players, you have to pay them. There is no player that will play for $5 million less than their market value and be happy about it. There are 3 crucial positions on a football team, QB, pass rusher, blind side tackle. When you get a competent player at one of those spots you do not give them away. I sure hope that the Bell can come in and play....
  7. terrible... we finally have a solid LT and we trade him b/c we are too cheap to pay him.... Coulda had him for 9 mil/yr last year.... oops, how are ya gonna market this one Russ?
  8. I was brought to Bills and Sabres games from the age of 6 and up, and I turned out fine.... I think that it's more how the parent acts, than how those around you act. My dad just told me that they were not acting well and that I shouldn't act like that. And I am a well adjusted, socially adapt 28 yr old.
  9. depends on if money is a problem.... I was raised on upper deck seats around the 40 yrd line.... but if I was bringing a 9 year old I would go for the highest rows of 132-135, you will have a great view, most of the people are behaved (it's where Bills employees get their free season tix) and you are down in the bowl which adds to the electricity. Just bringing him to the game is a great gift, some of my best memories as a kid are of my dad and I going to Orchard park for 8 sundays a year... make sure to cook out too!
  10. "It's all about execution, I had some opportunities out there today, but I just didn't execute" "I won't comment on my shot selection until I have a chance to review the tape" "It's a tough golf course out there, nothing will come easy to me, I have to play to my abilities" --Future Dick Jauron golf quotes
  11. Actually, if you search through some articles regarding the recent Steelers ownership situation w/ the Rooneys you will see that the NFL requires 1 person to have at least 30% of the team... making them the majority owner... this story has a blurb about it http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08316/926969-66.stm
  12. I believe the NFL requires 1 person to have a 30% stake in the team to be a majority owner... I do not think there are any other restrictions as far as the other 70% goes...
  13. slants, drags, posts, the deep in pattern that Josh Reed always caught for 1st downs can now be broken open for big plays
  14. TO doesnt start to be a headcase until his 2nd or 3rd year w/ the team, Besides this is the best place for him, small market and fans that are just looking for a superstar to hang their hat on. Also it sure would make the team more entertaining... maybe Russ needs to sell a few more season tix
  15. if you are gonna copy and paste the article at least give credit to the national football post... my favorite football site on the net
  16. funny... at walterfootball and at espn, people are saying Mack has been the #1 center in practice and is pulling away from the other prospects
  17. with the exception of pat williams and Antoine Winfield, I think the Bills have done a pretty good job of identifying the guys to keep and the guys to dump
  18. Miiny actually runs the tampa-2... the key is a top notch DL, not that much of a secret
  19. Brad Butler... distinct difference in the play of the OL with him and without him. Ross Tucker (former Bills OL) on si.com says that RG is the most difficult interior line position, and judging from the OL's performance without him, I tend to agree. Who do you think is the most underrated player?
  20. The reason is because that is what the coaches think is best for the team. Whether or not you agree with it, is an entirely different matter. The team has a defensive system they would like to run, they are in the process of getting the players that are available to them, that they think are the best for the system. It is very hard to build a team overnight (mia, atl, balt were not built overnight). Personally I think the team should be blitzing alot more because I think the defense's strength is in man-to-man coverage corners.
  21. I forget who said it.. it was one of the tampa 2 geniuses (dungy/kiffin/lovie smith) and they said their were 3 key positions on the tampa 2 defense the "under DT", the WLB, and the SS. (I personally think you need quick DE's too) I think the tampa 2 scheme is fantastic b/c you can get away with using smaller speed guys that are easily replaceable if you have a couple playmakers on the field. Unfortunately, I think we lack those playmakers. I do like Whitner though, and don't see what all of the hate is about on this board.
  22. Obviously we have fallen apart the 2nd half of the season, but I don't think this team is that far away from being very good. Let me start with the good: The defense is above average, and is a pass rusher away from being in the top tier. We are 15th in points allowed, 11th in yards allowed while being 27th in INTs and 25th in sacks. Do you know how hard it is to stop teams when the QB can stand in the pocket all day long, and the offense can't get you off of the field? Yet somehow our defense has managed to keep us in games. The only game the defense played badly was against the Cardinals. Our special teams are excellent. I know Lindell has got the shanks, but the return game and punting is yet again a huge strength of this team... getting drive starts around the 40 yard line after kickoffs and having the 2nd best kick coverage team in the league is a huge advantage in hidden yardage Lee Evans cannot be single covered... and Josh Reed looks like a decent WR Our offensive line can pass block... finally (Brad Butler is vastly underrated, look at how bad the OL played w/ him injured) Player A has a 59.8 comp% thrown for 2616 yards 7.0 yrd/att 14td's and 12int Player B has a 60.2 comp% thrown for 2410 yards 6.8 yrd/att 13td's and 10int Player C has a 66.0 comp% thrown for 2378 yards 7.3 yrd/att 10td's and 10int Those 3 QB's are Big Ben, Joe Flacco, and Trent... We are alot better off QB-wise this year than we have been Now to the bad... TE is a lost cause on this team Royal isn't even that good of a blocker anymore, you might as well have Chambers out there. I won't even mention him in the passing game Chris Kelsay is my personal whipping boy, he tries so hard, yet there are so many times he bites on PA fakes or gets shoved halfway down the line on a running play, the guy plays his butt off, he just isn't that good at the game of football Edwards has yet to figure out how to beat a defense when it drops everyone into coverage. But he is young and history has shown that QB's take time to develop. (Ryan is the exception to the rule) Duke Preston is the worst center I have ever seen... I don't even want to imagine him being the starter for another year. Now on to the coaching.... seems like everyone wants Jauron fired, I think that is totally the wrong thing to do. Teams need to form an identity, they need to have a plan from top to bottom. This team is being built to be a strong tampa-2 defensive team w/ a power running game. You cannot just junk the plan and start over when immediate results don't happen. He has been 7-9 his 1st 2 seasons and is now 6-7 in his 3rd. Not exactly lighting the world on fire, but not terrible either considering what he inherited. Dick doesn't call the offensive plays (i'm not a big fan of Turk, we don't have any flow), he doesn't rush the passer (our DB's are good, we can blitz once and a while since we don't have the edge rushers). A head coach now-a-days is an administrator. And from what I watch the players play hard for him The personal department now needs to put the finishing touches on this team and give us the pass rushers we need to effectively play the tampa-2 and the TE that is required of any successful conservative power running team and things will get better. Seriously though... it is all about the pass rush, and always will be -Jon
  23. Bannan plays a 3-4 end which is a totally different position than the 4-3 tackle we wanted him to play.... Leonhard is an average player
