  1. That's not a big difference at all. Point is, if your sole reason is that Bradford's injury makes him questionable for the future, just look at Brees. Who cares when the injury occurred to Brees since we're just talking purely about recovery (and they both had Dr. Andrews I believe). Jim Kelly had shoulder issues coming out of college too. Also, there's a reason why Bradford probably won't last until the 2nd round. If he had come out last year he would've been the clear-cut number 1 pick overall. But, we'll see come the draft. No point in arguing anymore. gotta go shovel snow.
  2. I am serious. We took two olineman day one last year. Do you want to take two more this year? There's something called free agency where a stop-gap can be signed at LT. What exactly is your point about trading away Peters? At some point your going to have to go after your QB if he's there on the draftboard and not build your 0-line forever.. We already tried bringing in big time free agents too..that didn't work...we have young players on the O-line already, let them develop further. And again, who says that the QB would have to start from day one and not just sit a year?
  3. Right buddy. And we drafted two "very good" O-lineman in last year's draft. Carry on...
  4. Bradford doesn't have a strong arm? Yes, it's not Jay Cutler's arm, but it's not Chad Pennington's either. Honestly now, how many games have you ever watched of him? Or are you repeating things like a parrot b/c you read some mock draft site run by 10 yr olds from their mothers basement. You don't throw for 50tds in one season with screen passes and 5 yd dump-offs.
  5. LOL. Let me apologize on Brees behalf for not winning the super bowl in his rookie season. You're a joke with that comment. I named 1 player? What's your point? I don't have an hour to sit here and list QBs who have played in a spread offense (which many do) in college and had shoulder injuries and then faltered in the NFL.
  6. the colts didn't wait to get strong before drafting manning. if our coaches rate Bradford or Clausen high, then it would be foolish to pass on either one jsut b/c we don't have an O-line. Nobody said that the QB has to start from day one.
  7. Brees didn't have an elite arm and played exclusively out of a spread offense in college. Brees and Jimbo's shoulder injuries really stunted their careers too.
  8. i'd much rather give Brohm a look over Campbell. This guy has been super inconsistent throughout his career and has made some bonehead JP-type plays as well. To me, Campbell is no better than Fitzy. You give Fitzy the entire training camp and preaseason to work with our starters, and he'll put up similar numbers to Campbell...and be just as inconsistent
  9. I voted for Bradford, though I wouldn't expect him to start from day 1. PS. This board is ridiculous imo. There are 2 votes for Vick and 0 for McNabb. Really guys?
  10. Definitely agree..Stroud is on his way down in terms of production. I think Williams was more dominant for us last year.
  11. looking at last season..despite the horrible O-line play and injuries to the LBs and Oline..you plug in a Chad Pennington-type QB into our offense and we make the playoffs. We were pretty much in every game we played last season, aside from 1 or 2, and most of our losses were simply a matter of our offense playing one man down (QB).
  12. I wouldn't sweaten the pot THAT MUCH...Lynch obviously had an off-year last year, but the guy is in his prime and I'd expect a bounce back year from him this year. Plus, this league is becoming more of a 2 back league..and Jackson (at his age) alone simply won't cut it. At the very most I'd give them a 4th or 5th rounder the following season...but our 2nd this year should be enough. In the end he probably will stay in philly.
  13. Though i like Bulaga, I think there are several solid LT prospects in this year's draft w/o reaching for one at 9..and for me, Bulaga is a reach at 9.
  14. If neither Bradford or Clausen are there when we pick at 9..I'd be against drafting a QB in the 3rd or 4th just b/c we "need a QB"..to me, Brohm has as much potential as any QB after Bradford and Clausen in this year's draft. I'd be just fine starting the season with Fitzy/Brohm (and Edwards) battling it out while we continue to develope our Oline and new defense.
  15. with six different teams making super bowl appearances in the past 6 years, this is clearly a win-now league where a team can go from the bottom 1/3 of the league to the top 1/3. With a pro-bowl caliber QB under center, this team is an instant playoff contender imo.
  16. I'd easily give up our 2nd for McNabb. I think he has at LEAST 3 very good years left. With a QB on our roster (our most glaring weakness), I'd simply then trade down (if we can) from our 9th pick to the late teens or early 20s and get back a 2nd rd pick. I'd go with the scenario in my sig for our first few picks (except we would then only have 1 secound round pick, and i'd go with an OT). Build the DL, OL, and LB corps. 1 or 2 more key additions via FA (maybe a veteran WR who's a solid route runner to compliment Evans and a veteran LB for depth) and we'd be WEELLLL on our way.
  17. this guy's clearly not all there
  18. same here man. i'm a rutgers alum and watch all their games...Davis to me is a Guard in the NFL...he could def. be dominant..but I don't see him being a dominant LT. I love him, but not at 9.
  19. For the bills, price is def. a consideration. I guess we were arguing different things. Despite only bringing it 50% of the time, he'll still give you 10+ sacks almost guaranteed. Anyway, it's not going to happen. I just don't think he's overrated.
  20. If i can only use your players: 1. Dan Williams 2. Gresham 3. Capers 4. Schofield
  21. Eh. give me Peppers over Schobel for sure. Peppers has 3 more sacks, 9 more forced fumbles, and 3 more ints.. in 13 fewer games. That 2.5 sack season was an anomaly imo.
  22. !@#$ mobility. that's what i say.
  23. OJ Simpson in his prime was arguably the most dominant player in all of football, let alone the bills. Though i cant stand the guy now, i'd probably say OJ.
