  1. If either Shakir or Palmer get injured it’s gonna hurt.
  2. Dude this was literally off the top of my head. There are countless others that were drafted after the 3rd round that had great careers. Don’t be obtuse.
  3. amon ra st brown tyreek hill diggs nacua they all say HI!
  4. The league is littered with really good WR and DB who were taken rounds 4-5. 4 and 5 should be used for a WR and DB in whatever order is best.
  5. after taxes/paying agents/etc he probably made $2m. even if he’s somewhat conservative (which he prob won’t be) he’ll be bone dry in ~10yrs with that $. if I was a player in my early 20s I wouldn’t feel comfortable until I netted ~$10m in the bank. $10m in the bank in early 20s and I wouldnt have to work again my entire life. And that’s me who doesn’t rock $100,000 jewelry. So double it for an NFL player. They better net $20m in the bank before they retire. Once you hit a certain lifestyle it’s hard to downgrade. Pride before the fall. That $2m house may be paid off. But taxes are $70k/yr on it. Money flies when no other income coming in. These players have one shot to secure their future. I don’t blame them.
  6. I think this thread would have been better served without the FJ comparison. It loses me and many others. I see very little similarities between TJ and FJ. Discussing TJ and his ability to be our #1 RB is a much better conversation and simpler too.
  7. i disagree. The only hump we need to get over is the mental hump of not being able to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. Our lack of success vs the chiefs has zero to do with rosters/physical talent. We would have been in the Super Bowl at least 2x by now if not for the chiefs. We need therapists more than we need additional talent. if some of these players walk, it’s not the end of the world. Benford and Cook are expendable. Our rookie RB had 150 all purpose yds the one game he started.
  8. In other news: the Chiefs just received a compensatory pick for their troubles.
  9. So do we trade up for a DT or Edge still?
  10. Rapp made some plays last year. I like him. Biggest question mark with him will be his size and durability.
  11. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/trump-approves-3-billion-arms-sale-israel/ As an American, it’s so sad to see my fellow citizens, who are friends and/or neighbors, in the federal government get shitcanned or disrespected, but the wallet is always open to send my dollars and resources to this other country. How more people don’t get outraged at the hypocrisy of it all is beyond my comprehension. The wallet and piggy bank are always open for Israel.
  12. I completely agree. I was kinda playing along to the ridiculousness of the thread. Why the Rams? Bc his fiance is in Hollywood? Allen isn’t from LA. He grew up a 49ers fan. Shut it down.
  13. Wouldn’t the 49ers make more sense? Shanahan ain’t no slouch either.
  14. Our offense stayed mostly healthy last season - especially the OL. I don’t expect the offense to repeat this level of production next season, though they’ll still be great. I agree we need to focus on defense, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take a shot on a 3rd round speedster at WR. Or address it elsewhere in FA or via trade.
