'Full-blown meltdown at the Pentagon': Hegseth reportedly 'unlikely to remain in his role'
These idiots on here defend him while trump is likely to fire him. They should feel stupid but the problem is they are too stupid to feel that way.
One problem is the mission of these leftist news agencies is to publish stories derogatory to the administration. Not so much inform the public of the truth. Purposefully and curiously, these stories always seem to be provided to "journalist" from anonymous and unverified sourcing claiming improper actions. And many times either the journalist or the sources fabricate false claims and lie. So it shouldn't be a surprise this constant flow of anonymous stories are looked at with a degree of skepticism by a lot of posters.
I think its fair to say that if the stories are true then the secretary should face discipline leading to dismissal. But if its not true then the journalists and the approving editors printing the story should be forced to reveal their sources (if any really exist) or face jail time. And actions should be taken against the offending news agencies or sites publishing false stories. Anonymous sources providing fake stories should also face the law. Anyone concerned primarily with the truth should see this as fair.

"People familiar with the matter".
The administration needs to assign an independent investigator to determine if a security violation has been made and then take the appropriate action. If the Secretary did indeed set up a second chat group on a non-secure phone he should be fired or resign. Such poor judgment disqualifies him from the position.
But if the allegations prove to be false the journalists filing the story should be pursued for investigation and potential criminal charges. At the least questioned about their sources. And if there are real people providing false information to the news outlets they should be arrested too.
Its one or the other here.

They don't have a plan other than trying to make rich people richer at the expense of everyone else.
Markets are down and given rich people own the majority of financial assets like stocks and bonds the implication is rich people are losing a lot of money. So unless you hold gold or gold mining stocks or have money in emerging markets or other currencies that's not what's happening. The dollar is intentionally being devalued in order to shrink the cost advantage of operating in other countries. The downside is it makes foreign goods more expensive. But that's the idea.

So now Trump has pushed Mexico and China to form a trade alliance with Chinese stores opening in Mexico. Brilliant move by Trumpy there. I’m sure his crew foresaw this and has a plan for an amazing deal.
I'm sure it's going to work out great. With the consent of their governments the Triads and Mexican drug cartels already have a mutually beneficial partnership so executing this deal should be seamless.

I think you have to open it up beyond cheap cars and goods. Break down federal/state barriers and allow cheap legal, medical and professional services, whatever, let’s really embrace globalization. In fact, why not allow Americans an alternative to federal/state taxation? Partner with the best deal-maker in the world as it relates to the various tax schemes, and utilize rules/regulations most favorable for the circumstance, because they would be better (maybe) and far, far cheaper.
Chinese products are inexpensive for a reason. In most cases, low quality. Cheap materials and poor quality components and parts. The stuff breaks easily and doesn't last very long. Add in almost no concern for the environment, the use of toxic substances, exploitation of workers, etc.
My old US made washing machine lasted 21 years before somebody over-loaded it and broke it. My new one made in China had to be serviced 3 times in 7 years. Poor quality and specs for short life expectancy.
Using medical services, I'll offer you a gall bladder operation with Dr One at $2,000 with an expected survival rate of 99.5%. Or a cheaper option with Dr Two at $500 with a survival rate of 75%. Is Two better because it's "cheaper"? Quality matters I think.

MAGA Goes Into Full Meltdown Over SCOTUS Ruling on Deportations
Donald "the loser" Trump
The court didn't rule illegals can't be deported. Just not under then Enemies Act. This ruling appears to be correct given the intent of that Act. The ruling sets some parameters but it won't end deportations.

When I first heard, early on, that there was a BSL-4 lab in Wuhan studying the virus, I knew it came from there. China's evasiveness and deception just proved it to me.
Now, I was open to the wet market theory, but unless/until they found the animal, it was never the explanation. And so far, over 5 years later, they still haven't found it and you can be sure China's been looking for it every single day since it first happened.
What's left unanswered is the motivations for American scientific and government experts to lie?

We have a guy on offense that is elite and must be accounted for in Allen. We have nothing, and have had nothing, on Defense.
We need to hit on a guy an OC and QB must account for. I don't want to hear they are only found in the top 5 picks in the draft. They can be found later, amd we need to find one. I don't care ifwehave to trade up to do it.
Either a game wrecker DT or a shutdown CB in round 1. Beane and the staff must hit on this pick. Its got to be a day one starter.
I think the 2 or 3 stars on both sides of the ball, rather than 5 or 6 above average guys has merit.
An example in another sport is the Penguins. Crosby, Malkin, and Latang with dozens of supporting players coming in and going out over 20 years.

Looks like they studied well at Trump University. Maybe they were taking lessons from us on our treatment of the 1921 Tulsa massacre, too.
I find most interesting your point about the exploitation of labor. I agree that it happens, and that we (the American consumer) benefit from it. Nobody domestically has ever cared about that issue until now. And I find it hard to believe that those who care about the issue do so legitimately, and are willing to endure the pain of what effectively is Trump's new national sales tax, to change wages and conditions in a distant land with a vastly different economy and value per hour of labor. Even assuming that's the case, the next question would be whether these newfound domestic supporters of labor fairness feel the same about labor unions, and wages at WalMart (where many of them undoubtedly shop), and wages and conditions at Amazon (where many of them undoubtedly shop as well).
I'm going to guess the answer to the WalMart/Amazon issues is no, and that these points about exploitation of labor are made simply to justify support for the moronic new tariff taxes that the Trump II administration has imposed.
I don't think any of that is important. The big picture is China poses a national security threat, has thousands of its citizens in the US spying and stealing IP and technology, has co-oped business and political leaders here through elite capture operations, all with the purpose of replacing America as world power to impose the CCP's system on the world. Not to mention running drugs and trafficking operations into the US with the the clear goal of creating social discourse and division.
Why does anyone think we should continue enabling their growth by running huge trade deficits, continue tranfering technology that at the time of their choosing will be used agsinst us, and remain dangerously dependent on China for many critical materials and products? And incredibly, all on terms extremely favorable to them. It's either take the pain of retaking control of the arrangements now under our terms or taking even greater pain and losing our way of life later under their terms.
What I don't understand is why political leaders of both parties and presidential adminitrations let this happen. Helping the biggest threat to our country, something clear 20+ years ago, to become stronger.

Yes we do...pressure has formed to stop the nonsense. This comes from the same pressure that forced Trudeau out...thank goodness, but Canada will do it without destroying our form of government.
Immigration, was out of control. America and Canada must ask itself...why is immigration..legal immigration...is coming from Muslim based countries than the areas of the world that Ellis Island was famous for. Are there no Euros wanting to come here.
The illegal stuff, is easy to see why.
The Liberals in the U.S. and Canada don't want to let in any white Christians into the country that have the capacity of assimilating into the main culture. They want multi-cultural chaos.

The Dems don't care at all about a non-citizen deported to some foreign prison. But he serves an important purpose. What they care about is using this situation to facilitate the use of the courts to block the ability of the administration to reverse the flow of illegals facilitated under the Biden administration. Clog up the courts with millions of trials and hearings while demanding "due process" to prevent deportations. File millions of individual motions that must be evaluated and ruled on. Everyone knows there just aren't enough resources in the judicial system to process so many individual cases. Grind the system to a halt. That's the game and whatever side of the argument you're on you know it.

I suspect for the moment Trump is only interested in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Ontario, with Toronto and British Columbia, with Vancouver are populated by Chinese Triad gangs running drug and money laundering operations with the consent of the government in Ottawa.

Do you all remember the GOP complaints that the left demanded and launched too many regulations, too many rules. Well, welcome to Harvard, who is resisting rules, regulations and standards set by...the GOP. An independent school. Take away the money, wtf does a university do with $9 billion per yr grant, but let them run their business. They are breaking no laws.
I said it before. Harvard has a $53 billion endowment fund. They have the option of funding their activities independent of grants and subsidies from the US taxpayer. My dad used to say financial independence will buy you a lot of freedom. I think that's true. Harvard should follow that advice and buy freedom to do as they please rather than presenting themselves as a victim of government censorship. A rich victim with the means to support their activities that instead chooses to mooch off the taxpayer while demanding autonomy from any conditions of that funding. Like any financial arrangement, don't like the conditions, don't take the money. Problem solved.

That’s a reasonable concern given the cyclical nature of politics, and I wouldn’t bet against it. If Trump can show progress on the economy and continue to deal with waste/fraud/abuse in govt, move forward on the illegal immigration issue, we probably push on.
Still, the race changes when someone becomes the front runner, and Sanders background offers plenty to talk about.
Bernie was at Coachella preaching to the crowd about the hardships that people like them are having to endure. People oppressed by the policies of the current administration, that can spend $700+ on show tickets and thousands more to enjoy a few days of entertainment. Hardships? That's comical. But that's how coastal liberal elites view themselves and the world. Higher prices on essentials like Guacamole sets them off into a panic.

The problem here is the Houthi's are not America's problem. Nothing much of American inbound and outbound ocean freight and commerce flows thru the Red Sea. It's trade between and among Europe and Asia. Let them put together an international task force and get our Navy out of there and deploy our forces to actual strategic missions.

Fire Pete Hegseth NOW - Hegseth shared attack details in second Signal chat

Trump trusted those experienced people under his first term and all they did was undermine the policies and objectives of the administration. Officials like good friend of Robert Mueller Barr, warmonger Bolton, Samantha Powers. All deep-staters and neocons. Pushing the agenda of the administrative state. All with experience, of the wrong kind.
So some people under the 2nd term have little experience. But they appear to all be on the same page and not deceitful and back stabbing saboteurs like the cast from term one.
What I will never understand is why Trump trusted those people in the 1st term because anyone paying attention knew exactly what they were all about.
