  1. I'd love to see someone with a sign at the home opener that says "Our Wang Is Bigger Than Yours" Go Bills!
  2. How about a Jersey that says "Wang Wood" with the number 69 on it. Kind of reminds me of "Shake and Bake"
  3. I can tell you that more than 50% of any sport at the profesional level is mental. Most of the guys at this level are fairly comperable when it comes to strength and speed. The winners win becasue they can execute and have enough confidence to slow things down, execute and process information quickly when it matters. I believe the Bills have the talent, and I think Gailey has done a great job on the mental toughness and confidence issues by bringing in the proper strucutre and mentality to this team. Seriously, they can be a playoff team, they have the talent....They just need something to put it all together.
  4. I think a quick release is a good thing, but it's kind of like a boxer, you can punch very fast without a lot of power, or slower with a tremendous amount of power. I think Trent tries to be a little to quick sometimes and loses velocity. If he does that in tight coverage the delay in velocity could allow the defender to be in a better position for an interception. That is all I meant.
  5. I think a lot of the people who do not have confidence in Edwards are justified, but keep in mind, that this is the 2nd coach who has watched him everyday and has come to the conclusion he can do the job. Gailey believes it so much, he passed on other QB's in thee draft. That says a lot to me. and hey, if Edwars plays well, we'll be playoff bound. Let me say this. I would rather have edwards than Henne or Sanchez (at this pont in their careers. I think if Edwards was on either the Jets or the Fins last year, he would have been the starter. Yea, I noticed it most on the out routee to Parrish that was almost picked off in the first quarter. It was a complete pass, but he has to be careful with those kind of throws.
  6. Hey just some random thoughts after watching the first three pre-season games. It looks to me like Trent is an entirely different QB. He has a certain swagger about him, he is smiling and it looks like he actually enjoys playing again. I am very confident that he will have a good season. The only thing I can say that is negaitve about him is the last couple of games it looks like he tries to release his passes so quickly, that he is losing some velocity on routes. This might be bad when it's only starting defensive backs in the game, as they can recover quicker than 2nd or 3rd stringers and may lead to some picks. Other than that, I think he looks really strong. After watching Buffalo this pre season, I fully expect them to be very competitive this season. You can see the whole team just looks different, like they expect to win.
  7. Jim Kelly - God I hate that guy, what a sissy! Thurman Thomas - Most overrated back in NFL History oh, and Steve Tasker - No heart and no talent whatsoever........... Relax everyone, just joking. Just wanted to wake everyone up a little bit and have som fun. The first guy I thought of was Rodney Harrison. I have a deep seeded hatred for "hard hitting" safeties like Harrison, like John Lynch, etc. What the commentators never tell you about these super tough guys is that all they do is try to decapitate smaller receivers while they are not looking. You never see these tough guys lay the wood to a TE, FB or RB who is comming at them straight up. Just always made me disgusted to see how much run some of those players got when their entire reputations were based on cheap shots. Then they walk around like they were Mike Tyson in the 80's. As a player I used to love going up against guys like that with big reputations for being "hard hitting" safeties or line backers. (I was a TE, but not professionally) always knocked them right on their asses until they eventually got the hint and started to avoid contact.
  8. Wow, I truly have heard everything. If you are so concerned about safety issues, or about some guy making a couple of bucks providing a service for the game, here is an idea. Stop being such cheap-skates and stop breaking the NFL review / rebroadcast laws in order to watch the game. Then get off your a** and either spend the $10 for a couple of drinks down at a bar to watch the game, or shell out the cash for NFL Sunday ticket. Sorry, but the higher than thow safety concerns and outrage at some guy from outside the Bills Community rings pretty hollow when people here are consipiring to illegally pirate the game feed so they can avoid any type of activity in our economy.
  9. So what you are saying is that Buffalo will not make the playoffs until they have pro bowl and elite players at the following positions: 1) QB 2) RB 3) RB - actually back-up running back 4) WR 5) ILB 6) ILB 7) OLB 8) DE 9) DT 10)SS 11)FS 12)Can have no injuries to the offensive line. Before you say "I never said they had to be probowlers" Keep in mind, you infere that the the ONLY way the Bills will make the playoffs is if all of these positions play at a pro bwol level or higher (IE Elite) status. sorry, but if this is the criteria, virtually no teams would make the playoffs every year.
  10. the Jets defense will go the way of Rex Ryan's Daddy's defense, Buddy Ryan. Other coaches will make adjustments, the defense will be exposed as a very average scheme and one that is not very adjustable. The Jets will be an average team and Ryan will start blaming the players before he takes a DC position with the Raiders in 3 years. AFC EAST Prediction 2010 1) Patriots 11-5 2) Bills 10-6 3) Jets 6-10 4) Dolphins 6-10 That is my call and I am sticking to it.
  11. The TD was not a "busted play" the Bills lined up with three in the backfield and ran off of play action. The safety bit on the run fake and the Bills took advantage. The Bills offense set was designed to look like a power running play in order to fool the defense. It was just good coaching and good execution, not a busted coverage.
  12. Is Jesse Palmer still available?
  13. If we see another outing like this from Trent and Fitz on Thursday, this should happen. 1) Trent Edwards is cut. 2) Brian Brohm is promoted to starting quarterback. 3) Fitz should be alerted that he will be the no. 2 QB this year and will only play if the 1 is injured...The illusion that he can be a #1 QB in the NFL needs to stop, he is not talented enough, period. But he is a vet who can be servicable in an emergency. 4) Levi Brown should be moved to third string and developed extensivly this year behind the starter and no. 2 Ala Tony Romo. After the year is over the coaching staff should evaluate Browns progress and Brohms progress to see if either can be the QB of the future. If the determination is that neither can be, than draft a franchise QB and start over. But if it were up to me. Edwards would have to show me something very quickly if he wants to keep his job. He looked terrible last night and so did Fitzpatrick. BTW, I am no Edwards hater, I hope he becomes the best QB in the league, but at some point, the results have to be there.
  14. What if your Mexican and you spell team equipo??? Now there is an "I" in team.
  15. I feel anything less than a .500 season would be disapointing for the Bills. Here is my logic. 1) After the complete dysfunction through last year and the complete destruction of the team to injuries, we still managed to win 6 games. 2) We have some real playmakers on offense with the addition of Spiller, the re energized Marshawn Lynch, and the proper use of Parrish. People keep talking about our no # 2 reciever, but Welker plays the slot next to Moss with no other real receiving threat and that offense does just fine. With our three running back tandem, Evans, Parrish, another servicable reciever in the 2 slot and our TE tandem, we should be much improved from a talent perspective on offense. 3) Yes our o line is green, but the interior 3 lineman are strong and if they remain healthy, should serve as a good base for the run game. Bell has one more year experience and maybe Merideth will surprise a few people. 4) I think Edwards will be a servicable QB, honestly we can't be any worse at that position than we were last year, so any consistant production there will be an upgrade. I think Edwards will do better because he has a coaching staff that will put him in better positions to succeed, not like he had under Jauron. 5) Our secondary is down right scary. I think the best in the league. 6) We are a lot stronger, bigger, and more athletic at the linebacker position. 7) We are bigger and more athletic on the defensive line, with better coaching all around. We have to stay healthy, but I thnk the Bills will surprise a lot of people with the talent we have. I think we have more overall talent than the Jets and the Dolphins, even though they have some bigger names. Just my 2 cents.
  16. There is no law in this country against owning pit bulls. If his neighbors are allowed to own animals and he is not, that is flat out discrimination. You can't stop somebody from doing a lawful act like owning a pet, becasue you "think he might train them to be aggressive" or you are being "proactive" That is completely ignorant and wrong if that is in fact how that scenario went down.
  17. First in all of our hearts........last in the AFC East.
  18. full back maybe....doesn't this kind of remind you of that movie The Repacements? I'm still waiting for the sumo wrestler offensive lineman to be signed.
  19. +1 I think most of our players would have done better and can do better with a stable coaching staf, system and front office.
  20. The Giants kicked the sh*t out of us the enitre second half of that game, we took an early lead 14 point lead and we got the hell kicked out of us the rest of the way. Hardly Donte's fault.
  21. Does this make Donte a qwitter?
  22. Did you see Trent throw out the first pitch of that Blue Jays game???I'm Just sayin...
  23. Spiller is a guy who is an energetic, talented player who more importanly, wants to play in Buffalo and wants to help turn this franchise around. I think he was a great pick and will prove to be one of the turning points for this franchise.
  24. Wasn't that JP Loseman?
