Amen, thats the goal SB. We gave up a first and 2 seconds to get him., My standards are high. Seeing a big game would show me hes moving to the next level, not a game manager against the bottom the league.
Because my football brain tells me we beat the Dolphins, Jets, Eli-Giants, Bengals andTitans, not exactly the upper echelon of the NFL. Dont expect to see too many of them in the playoffs. I dont just want to get to the playoffs, I want to advance.
i know you will get a million posts saying as long as we win it doesn't matter. IMHO i need to see a 300 3td game this year. Just to show me he can do it. We have had a pretty cupcake schedule. There is going to be a game where you going to have to put up points to win, unless you have a defense like Dilfer did with the Ravens. Seems the one constant outside of the glory years with the exception of a year or two with Bledsoe has been a sub par offense. This team wants to go the next level the offense is going to have to get much better, especially when going against the better teams.
Green didnt have his leg amputated. He'll be back soon. At this point in their careers I think AJ is way more highly regarded than Lofton was. Like others have said we have the cap space. You could cut Murphy, Kroft(talk about a guy who get hurt a lot) and Spencer Long next year and have a 75 percent of what he would want a year. This team needs a receiver that can step in and produce. To me Brown and Beasley are 2 or 3 receivers not close to a 1. AJ is a stud.
I kind of wonder if we take a LT and RT in rounds 2 and 3(get elite WR round 1), and move Dawkins and Ford both to G. LIne would be pretty set for a few years.
