  1. On the second play, I have the game DVR'd and after watching that play in slo-mo 20 times, it wasnt just Kiko that was out of position it was also Gilmore. The Tampa reciever makes a slight, 2 step move pre-snap inside but is still on Lawsons outside shoulder, as Glennon is handing off to Rainey. The Tampa receiver comes across, like it may be an inside reverse......you see a blur of Gilmore going across your screen the opposite way of the run, totally abandoning his side of the field. It was also Kyle, though he got off the snap the quickest, he got handled on that play, and Rainey was off to the races.
  2. I can hear Jeff Foxworthy now----- yoooooooooooou might be a Bills fan if you expected to lose to Tampa Bay. Feel free to add yours.
  3. What really starts to drive you crazy by this point in the season is realizing the mistakes can come from anywhere. The defense, while getting sacks and turnovers, is near the league lead in passing TDs given up and has given up some rushing yards to some sub par teams. Penalties, drops/fumbles by the receivers, Tuels goalline mistake, , EJ decent a week bad 2 weeks, line problems. You get shell-shocked watching different units take turns losing games. I guess my spidey Bills-sense tells we lose a game by Carpenter shanking a game winning kick. It only makes sense in Buffalo-esque way.
  4. While that is true, FSU only gave up 14 sacks in 2012. Ryan Fitzpatrick, that superb athlete, in his last 3 years with the Bills, rushed for 269, 197 and 204 yards. EJ is averaging 16.5 yards rushing per game, times 16 that would be 264 yards rushing for a full season. Not much better than an average Fitzy year. Nick Foles, who I wouldnt say is much of a runner is averaging 16.8 yards per game. I'll still maintain EJ isn't the runner some people think he is.
  5. Incorporate a huddle Incorporate a drop back play action pass into the offense. Scrap running from read option Demote Hackett Have new OC review 2012 game films to properly utilitze Spiller New OL and ST coaches. Get a new starting G, WR, TE and LB in draft and free agency.
  6. Well there's no doubt the Bills have never had a stretch in their history like the millenium Bills. At least those other awful teams improved after a few years. The new age Bills add talent but never seem to add any numbers in the win column.
  7. LOL, been on this board 5 years now and I've read them all from the drafting, to the front office and coaching hires to players and their play on the field. The one common theme is its not really anybodys fault and the only cure is patience and we will be good next year or the year after or the year after that or......
  8. 1. EJ is only in his second year, QB X didnt play well in his second year either. 2. Marrone is only in year 2 you cant expect much he's still learning. 3. Hackett is only in year 2 you cant expect much he's still learning the NFL game. 4. We lost Byrd it will take X number of years for his replacement to play well. 5. Player X and Y were hurt if not for those injuries we would of made the playoffs 6. If you change a play in this game and that game and this game we would of been 9-7 7. The refs screwed in this game and that game. 8. Rookie A and B are starting and it will take them time to learn. 9. TJ Graham is only in year 3, Brandon Lloyd and whoever didnt have a good year until,,,,,,, 10. They lost a heartbreaker in week X of course there would be a let down in the next few games I post this because Im sick of the excuses. They're getting old, lamer and more desperate by the year. The team motto for 2014 should be no excuses, none. Young coaches--- screw it,, work harder in the off season and step it up, same for anybody filling in for injuries, free agents lost or any rookies starting. Tough call or loss, get over it. Screw development with no results in the W-L column, go out get some respect from the other teams in the league.
  9. The sit back, be patient, watch em develop crowd is now zero for 14 playoff years, and 1 and 13 in terms of a winning team, so yeah surely year 15 is the charm. Marrone and Co. will need to go 2-1 down the stretch to equal the futility of Gailey/Wanny. There hasnt been any real improvement. While the D has improved the offense has regressed and it isnt all because we have a rookie QB. Gailey had CJ playing a probowl level and Marrone and Hacket have turned him into a middle of the road back. Sorry I see a team stuck in place consistently as one of the 10 worst teams in the league. You are what your record say you are. I call them like I see them.
  10. If the Bills passed on EJ, I really wonder where he would have gone. We'll never know but I sure wonder if he would have gone in round 3 or 4.
  11. EJ rushed for 1.4 yds per carry as a junior and 3.0 yds per carry as a senior at FSU. He's not the athlete people think he is. Remember when you think about those stats consider 5-6 of those games each year were against out matched sacrificial lamb cupcakes playing for the game check and the worst of the ACC.
  12. Definetly numb, have been for years. It's almost embarassing to wear the colors especially when you live out of state. I dont know whats worse people laughing at you for being a fan of this choke-joke team or them pitying you. Whats starting to get to me is when do these guys get sick of it? The superbowl Bills at one time were the bickering Bills, but at least those guys had some fire, some pride. I remember watching a NFL film, with during a bad loss Marv took the starters out in the 4th qtr and how they said they wanted to make sure that didnt happen again. The millenium Bills are too eager to hang their heads and give up. These guys played like a team looking foward to locker cleanout day again.
  13. Buy season tickets get a weekend package for the 2015 NFL draft.
  14. Im too tired to look it up...but wouldnt Rogers 2tds today tie TJ for his career.
  15. Not sold on him either, but that was funny.
  16. First I just want to say Im not for firing Marrone. That said....to the crowd that says step away from the ledge, we got a rookie HC, QB, OC Etc most of you are the same types that said lets see how we progress down the stretch. Well not so good. This team is basically fully healthy and losing to 2 and 3 win teams. Spare me were coming off a disappointing loss, if Marrone is a good coach he should of had them ready to play. Our QB is not improving, I dont think hes had one wow game this season. We have one of the worst records in the league in our last 8 or so games. We are not improving. If you dont have any standards all you have are cheap excuses.
  17. Im optimistic we will have a top 5 draft pick.
  18. Cant disagree with anything you said Bill. Definetly think QB in the first 3 rounds and probably not the first, has to be in the plan. Rookie QBs are not getting freak money anymore and EJ probably doesnt make anymore than Fitz does as a backup in Tenn.
  19. Russ blaming the fans for not selling out in the Ralph is like Foghat wondering why they dont sell out arenas anymore.
  20. I dont think its that hard. 6 receivers are going to make the team. Stevie, Wood, Goodwin(who is also the KR), Easly is the 6th and ST gunner, so thats 4 roster spots. Hogan played well in camp. So the 5th spot I would of rather rolled the dice and developed a talent like Rogers than a never will be like Graham.
  21. NFL refs will no allow a team like the Browns to beat Brady.
  22. Whoever scouted TJ Graham I would fire him tomorrow.
  23. When you have Thad Lewis and Tuel as backups and EJ as a starter...no doubt we need to add another QB in the first 3 rounds.
  24. And TJ Graham has another donut in the box score.
