  1. See, you're missing the real point here though. I agree, you can't hand off the ball every time on first down from a single back formation to the left side with no attempt at misdirection, counter, pitch out etc. We literally run the same busted running play from the same busted formation. EVERY ONE, including announcers and fans, can predict 9\10 times what play we will call as the bills get into formation. On days where Turk actually mixes things up, and throws PA, counters, draws, and some screens in, Lynch devastates defenses. So the problem isn't Lynch running, it's the fact that they tell him to run to the same place every time.
  2. Losman forgot he was a bill for a second and passed the ball to the dolphins receiver....seriously though why don't we just ram lynch 3 times??? what is so f***** hard about that for Turk?
  3. HOW TYPICAL. 10 yards overthrown to a wide open man.
  4. LOL we even let them gain yards on what should have been a sack.
  5. Excuse me announcer but how is that all on JP? That's all on Reed to get open while JP is running around like an idiot on a designed rollout.
  6. What's really sad is the dolphins are using the gameplan we should be following to beat us.
  7. We are such pussies about the run game, it's pathetic. It really is.
  8. Sweet! Finally attempt to return the ball and we hold.
  9. Gotta make that tackle at the line, we let too many people get by the first tackler.
  10. Why do we only ever run out of the single back formation?
  11. LOL that has to have been the funniest thing so far. His half-assed clap with his little "come on let's go!" bwahahaha
  12. I honestly think if Jauron actually runs Marshawn for 25 carries like he keeps saying he will, JP stands to at least service a decent game. In that event, we have a good chance at winning I think. I don't see how that affects the fact that Trent is the starter, and JP is leaving after this season.
  13. The time out issue belies a larger problem though. Any well coached team (hell my uni rugby team for that matter), if they are well coached, will not encounter a situation so unexpected that they must take a break from the game to figure out what is going on. Every game however, the Bills have to do this, using up timeouts before we ever hit the 2 minute mark. The biggest example of this was I believe in the Browns game. I don't remember the details but we had busted a huge gain on offense to get to their 2 or so. We ran down the field to set up with another play, and then called a timeout. A well coached team would have immediately ran to the line and sneaked it or ran a HB dive because the defense was reeling and would have been unable to reply. That's how the timeout issue is non-trivial.
  14. You have a point I think to an extent. Preston hasn't been amazing but he's at least serviceable compared to Fowler. I really hope the Bills pick up Alex Mack in the draft. The guy is an absolute beast and has played with Lynch before. One thing I'm really aggravated with though. We simply do not run in the 4th quarter. Not to a meaningful extent. With the run game we have, I really think if we ran the ball in the 4th we'd blow open games. A huge line like ours, even if they suck, takes a lot of energy to line up against for 4 quarters. They're huge. Lynch makes anyone tired cause he doesn't understand what "tackled" means. So in that sense, I really think the coaches are ignoring the areas where the o-line might have shined in past games. I'm not sure if it's true, but I'm pretty sure on two separate occasions now I've heard of people at the games noticing the o-line getting *very* worked up at DJ because the second we got into the red zone (even if we ran the whole way there) he would back off the run. I'm sure they're just over it at some point if our coach is that much of a twat about it.
  15. I'm not sure the offensive line can be blamed anymore. Until Losman came in they had the longest active streak for not giving up a sack. It was a good 4 game streak (since Butler came back). Lynch also is getting yards lately. Not running the ball like demons in the red zone is why I think we stall when we get to the red zone.
  16. It would be fun to have Jim Mora around just because he's awesome to talk to when a team loses. Other than that he's been out of the league for awhile, but iirc, he DID take two abysmal teams and turn them around into playoff bound teams, so that's something.
  17. The talent is there, the coaching is not at this point. There are plenty of reasons why I think this is more the case than vice versa.
  18. You know I had completely forgotten about Brian Billick. He wouldn't be a bad choice at all, and I'm sure he's looking to hop back into the league as soon as possible.
  19. In all fairness, they did franchise Clements once. I think they figured at some point there was nothing to gain by franchising him again, they wanted to move forward. I think Clements was going to leave regardless and they didn't need to deal with it. Not saying I agree with what happened.
  20. We must be watching different games then. Aside from the FG issue, which I conceded, I don't agree with your assessment. I could be remembering the games wrong, but the ST have in my mind been pretty consistent. McKelvin for his part has only gotten that much more dangerous as the season has progressed.
  21. Receivers HAVE been open, the ball just isn't getting to them because the QB's aren't reading the plays well as they develop. Case in point, on 4th and 2 Losman was looking to the end zone at a double covered receiver while we had one COMPLETELY open from the moment the ball was snapped. He continued to be open as he ran across the middle past the first down marker. Losman just ignored him and kept looking for the TD.
  22. Where has the ST unit screwed up the last few weeks? I'm just curious as I generally haven't noticed anything but the standard level of play from them. The occasional return gets by them for an extra ten yards, but they're play has been pretty consistent.
  23. The coaching staff just doesn't know how to call plays to the strength of our players. The defense was fine today, can't really complain there. Pressure was put on when it was needed, and we ran a fair bit of man coverage, which I like. Offensively though, it's becoming ridiculous. We only run out of the single back formation, and we only ever pass out of a shotgun spread. If we're feeling really risky we put a RB back there in the shotgun. We ran 0 PA that I could tell, when the running game was booming. We're in the box on 4th and 2 when Losman missed the open receiver across the middle. The 49'ers were stacking the box like nuts and we don't even try to do something creative. Which gets to my next point. You can tell the coaching staff are inept because they simply do not know how to call plays to the strength of the players. They put Freddie Jackson in there and run him up the gut....when Losman "had" to take over they continue to run a gameplan centered on Edwards. They did not dial up a single PA or bootleg. They didn't give him a chance to just chuck it downfield to Evans, which is the only good thing he does. They forced a small, quick, and mobile QB to sit in the pocket and get sacked again and again. They shoved a circle into a square, AGAIN. And that is why we lost.
  24. I seriously say you fire him. The entire philosophy of how the Bills are coached right now is hurting this team. EDIT: How are the special teams not playing well? Lindell missing those kicks is on him. The return game and coverage units are doing pretty great as always.
