There is an interview online somewhere. In the offseason ML was talking about wanting to be traded to a west coast team, pref. SF or Oak. He sounds in the interview like it is a "gonna be done" deal. You think this is a bad trade?! Some of us remember the famous Lamonica trade as being the absolute worst trade in NFL history (or AFL history). They got Lamonica AND Glenn Bass, Buff got Art Powell and Tom Flores. In his first 2 seasons with Oakland, he threw for 64 TDs. Powell stayed for one season and I believe was injured. Flores served as a backup and got little or no playing time.

If memory serves right, they got him for $100.

I remember the first live game I went to at the old Rockpile, I believe 1970. The coin toss went in favor of the Cardinals and all of the UB students who were drinking nearby proclaimed that "the Bills had lost the toss so the game was over". The Cards won, btw with Jim Hart at QB. I think the Bills won 2 games that season, ugh!

CNN is now reporting that Southwest Airlines issued a warning a couple of weeks ago about instrument landings on that particular runway (23) in certain weather conditions being potentially hazardous. Apparently there is some earth dam blocking the signal to the south and it can cause aircraft to suddenly pitch up and go into stall (where have we heard that one recently).
