What am I missing? The dude gets PF penalties called in his favor every week. Josh Allen got hit in the head while sliding by 2 Cowboy defenders and it drew a "warning" for Dallas.

You should have seen the venom pre-draft! He's had to back off from that nonsense significantly, but not to the point where he sounds rational (thank goodness for that, lest the posts lose their entertainment value). I think he tries way too hard to put touch on the ball. He needs to just rip it and not worry about getting picked...at least until he gets to the offseason and has time to really put in the work.

Agreed. I'll be shocked if Garrett isn't gone and Kris Richard isn't promoted to HC this offseason -

We definitely did not beat a team with the #1 offense and #9 defense on national TV 2 weeks ago. -
Look who finally woke up! I've been "jrobering" all day regarding Knox. I sound like a fool, don't I? If you haven't caught it yet, the point is that you've made every excuse in the book for Knox, and literally every one of them applies to Allen. And even though 4 different posters have pointed this out, you just keep right in rollin' with it.

Huh. Didn't realize that Dallas has the #9 overall defense, and is ranked 9th in YPA allowed to opposing QBs -
So are you saying that... Good players at any position don't grow on trees? That good prospects don't enter the league as finished products? That some players need time to refine their game, and in some cases even to develop basic skills that are required of the position? That a guy with relatively little experience at his position may take longer to develop than others? That it's criminally stupid to focus only on what a young player does poorly and ignore what he does well and what he can learn to do well? Asking for a friend.

Nope. Spending a first on a TE is a wasted resource--they rarely produce enough. But there's no reason to sign Tyler Kroft instead of Jared Cook, who's clear and away better than anything they have now. Or they can go get Henry or Hooper or Ebron in FA. Point is, don't put a guy on the field that can't catch

There are very basic skills that an NFL player at his position needs to have coming into the league. Being able to catch an easy pass is one of them. He routinely drops throws that hit him cleanly in both hands. That isn't going to go away; drops just don't improve in the NFL. You can be patient with him if you want; I say get a real TE.
