  1. I was once an 'its all Belichick and the Patriots' 'system' they have.

These days, I think it is almost equal Belichick/Brady.  Neither would have amounted to anywhere near their historical status without the other (and I am convinced nobody would remember Tom Brady).

It was a perfect storm of a coach/staff who was ahead of the curve and would find every single margin to take advantage of for winning.  You had a QB who wasnt all that gifted, but was willing to give his entire being to being the greatest and winning.

  2. You wonder what the future is, but I don't think it's great for WGR55 as we know it (and probably WBEN as well).

It has amazed me for a number of years that they would retain such high salaries (Im sure) of Schopp and the Bulldog and people like that, when you can get closer to entry-level people and pay them a fraction of the amount to talk sports.  Honestly, the younger guys on the station have always been fine in my opinion, and always hungrier and put more effort into consuming and researching sports.

Titans, who announced their stadium deal 13 months after the Bills did, have released their 3d walkthrough of the new stadium:

I love how you can see the field from all of the concession stands. It's beautiful inside.

Its pretty nice looking.  Open-concourses are pretty standard now.  My only complaint is that one really big lounge area with the copious number of couches not even facing the field.  Go in and watch the game, people.

I wish we had such a walkthrough.

  4. Its kind of sad that these careers are ending.  Pages are turning.

Anyways, things for Alabama are getting and going to get a lot more difficult.  Already mentioned NIL and transfer portal.  The super-conferences and a lot more competition, even the expanded playoff will make it tough.  I think we are going to have much more parity in the top 10-20 teams year to year like never before.

What media do you listen to? They were saying Mack suck suck suck since last year.. As for Fans, don’t all fans believe their team should be SB Bound? Thus why they are fans..

    His rookie season.

Because he wasn't pooping his pants and turning the ball over, he was on the same trajectory as Tom Brady.

Also, it is natural for NE fans to assume they will someday control the Division for decades and see perpetual Superbowl berths for a generation.  Heck, us Bills fans did/do once we got a franchise QB.  4 Years is an amazing run.  Most Divisions turn over every season to 2 or 3 at the top.  The additional 1st place schedule game in the NFC makes it even more difficult.

I remember as a Bills fan in the mid-90s, it felt like the Chargers, Steelers, etc were just keeping the Bills' seat warn until we reassumed the top of the AFC again.

NE is a good opportunity in terms of picks and cap....there is a lot of cap available for them to build a team and a high pick for a QB.  Maybe somewhere that has a QB could be thought of as better.  I do agree on the shadow thing but I think Vrabel is one who maybe can handle that.

This makes 6 coaches fired in the division since McDermott took over.

I guess picks and cap.  They have to build the entire thing, which can be faster than people think as long as the cap is clear.

The Division is tough too.  My favorite job if I were a coach is the Bears.

Also, I think Vrabel's abilities are getting inflated right now.  He got fat on a freak superlative generational RB and his eliminated team tried hard in a couple games.  Awful division most of his tenure as well.  High floor, low ceiling type of coach.   I would be much more worried about the offensive visionary type.

  7. If I were Vrabel, I would stay far from New England.  Expectations are sky high there, even at the beginning of a rebuild.  He is following in the shoes of arguably the greatest of all-time.  There are going to be his choice of suitors which would be better circumstances.

Can you imagine if Allen got traded to Miami in the offseason? Not only would every one of those cry babies suddenly go out and buy an Allen jersey, their stadium would have more than 17 Dolphin fans in it

Its odd to me that so many of them seem to think that Allen runs around and always rubs it in the face of the other team when the Bills win.... and also throws tantrums and no class when they lose.

Neither of those is even close to true.

You can thank our head coach for that.   McD adjusted and shut that door.

I have said it elsewhere.  Credit where it is due, McDermott and the staff coached an excellent game (although the 1st down runs into a wall were driving me nuts).

If Allen got that last 1st down to run out the 4th quarter, I think McDermott would have gotten even more credit.

About the second half last night...did Miami put out a missing persons report on Achane after halftime?  He was tearing it up in the first half, and the Dolphins had the lead so they could have kept on running.  Did McDaniel outsmart himself by moving away from the run?

I saw somewhere that Miami had 100 yards rushing at halftime and ended with 108.

They also only had 4 plays of offense in the 3rd quarter

  11. Initial feelings (looked at this a couple weeks ago to be honest).

1st place schedules are more unforgiving with the 17th game.

Maybe another Bills @ Lions Thanksgiving game?

Home schedule looks manageable.  Shoot for 7-1 and can go 5-4 with that really difficult-looking away-slate to get to 12-5.

At least they avoid the bengals.

Primetime games:  @Ravens, @Dolphins, 49ers, Jets (Thurs), and something weird on MNF like @Houston

Chargers situation has to be the best.

    QB

    WR

    DE

Plus some other nice players. But you have a QB to work with, so a lot of the other stuff works out. Division is kind of tough but each year is its own story and Denver is about to have no QB

If the bears opens up, I like that better.

Bonus points for qb on a rookie deal and easier of the conferences

If the Eagles get bounced early and ugly this week, they could let Sirani go. I would not be surprised at all

The way that team has collapsed, I wonder what the deal is behind the scenes.  There has got to be serious drama in the lockerroom and I wonder if Sirianni is directly involved.

  14. I think I want KC to be honest.

This is assuming Cleveland wins, and assuming the Bills win (dont worry, Im plenty worried about Pittsburgh)

I trust Cleveland to beat Baltimore moreso than Miami.

I would also rather play this version on KC here than that punchy Browns team.  Would also be nice balance to knock Mahomes out in Buffalo to go to the AFCCG (and he has to come here next season)

  15. Really though, this has to be borderline traumatizing for Dolphins fans.

I cant imagine what it would have been like to have a season like this in the drought and have New England just ***** it up in Buffalo the last week of the season in front of a stadium full of their own fans.
