At one point I found it easy to root for the Bengals. Loveable losers that finally turned the corner and all.
Now? Not so much. Bunch of cocky asshats. Reminds me of the Legion of Boom era Seahawks minus the Super Bowl title.
They are always finding these mysterious beefs for motivation. Something completely out of context, if not fabricated.
Then they run their mouths and say things 10x worse than things they claim to be angry about.
It's hard to root for that team. At least when brady's patriots would find fake bulletin board material, they rarely took shots at opponents in that era, and were even complimentary to the Bills in the worst of days.

The season is pretty much over, and has been over for 3-4 weeks.
It's depressing. Perpetually in a rebuild/plan that never bears fruit. The coach needed to be fired a month and a half ago. It was clear and 31 other teams would have been capable of making that move.
Adams will not and can not make hard decisions. Complete inexperience and incapable of being in his position.

The jets excuse away their poor season because Rodgers got hurt... get torched by Joe Flacco last night as his team qualifies for the playoffs

If you are looking at what it is supposed to be: most valuable player to his team".
I'd go with
Tyreek
McCaffrey
Josh Allen
There is a drop-off from there.
I'd go Hurts, Lamar as my next 2.
Dak, Purdy, and Tua could be plug and play (to a point) imo. Mahomes is in an off-year.

I haven't been to any except for Highmark.
I can't imagine there is a better atmosphere and venue in the nfl for my needs and wants. No nonsense, low frills venue with great sight lines. Only purpose is football spectating. The crowd is entirely blue collar. Parking in and habitating a neighborhood is also great. It's a unique and rare environment we have. "College atmosphere" can't be said enough.

The closest thing for me might be the 1998 Bills with flutie magic. As far as ups and downs
-
It wasn't "lucky" at all. They had to overcome a lot of bad fortune, calls were not in their favor, and a few major mistakes.
All week I knew they were in danger of losing this game. With the chargers' embarrassment and coaching change, also a mini bye for them. Bills a short week with the cross country trip. Had the makings of an ambush.

Only because collinsworth reacted like there was real danger for a second. The replay imo showed the bills had things taken care of

Saw people break down that still on twitter Benford 47 is already past his block and a bunch of other reasons why this isn't actually a thing. Not to mention he's on his own 20 and the clock is at 0 so he has to get in there are no FGs.
Collinsworth made it sound more dangerous than it was.
A few frames later, more Bills were in over there, and as you mentioned, benford was pretty much free and clear and has the sideline

Yes, but all the talk of "no one wants to face the Bills in the playoffs" is out the window now, right? Since, you know, they looked like garbage, and won by the skin of their teeth against an inferior opponent.
The sad reality is that they came within inches of being "the same old Bills." The "they're hot and steamrolling into the playoffs" is just a pipe dream now. Likely one and done.
Bring on the blinders wearing homer thumbs downs and red Xs. LOL
To answer that, put yourself in the shoes of a fan of any of the other playoff teams. Rank the teams you would want to face. Even after that, the bills are a scary opponent

They gutted it out. I'll take any wins this time of year. Survive and advance.
To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the commercial free quarter. They just filled the time with collinsworth and tirico babbling or throw it to the studio to show the playoff picture for the 45th time.
Needed to plan those in-stadium breaks better for on-air content.

This was the definition of a trap game.
Chargers with a mini-bye, road game on the west coast after a huge win, interim coach/players playing for their jobs, and immense pressure to win. I don’t care what the negative people on this board say, I am satisfied w/ this win today. How many of these games didn’t go the Bills way this year?
It's hard as hell to win games. There were a lot of tough circumstances going in to this one. Also fell on the wrong end of some officiating "luck". 3 Really bad turnovers though, no excuse for that. The mini meltdown on the punt at the 5 was annoying too

Chargers humiliation and the coaching change, long week, bills short week with cross country trip.

All week I was dreading this game. Terrible spot for the bills. They pulled through

That's weird. I had figured they called a hold or one of those 2-3 blocks in the back

Can escape the half with the lead
Would be a huge victory

This isn't Sabres related but Ovi seems to have bottomed out as fast as Peyton did in his final year. Only 5 goals and 10 assists this season. I thought he had a shot to catch Gretsky's record but not anymore. It seems like "Father Time" has caught up with him.
I hope so.

I figured the Sabres would come out with some fire after all the embarrassment.
And Samsonov... woof

I disagree with you on our goaltending. Both Levi and UPL have been solid. (Comrie not so much.) But Domenic Hasek couldn't save this team the way it plays defense at times.
Remember how we all said Linus Ullmark sucked? How did he do once he got to Boston? He won a Vezina.
I think the majority thought Ullmark was good. Maybe even a/the franchise goalie. The thing with him and his free agency was that he was going to demand long term and some dollars, the Sabres would likely need to slightly overpay, and he had a dubious injury history to that point.

You would think we aren't that far off from being able to create an AI version of Madden and Summerall that is pretty dynamic and authentic sounding.
